Interesting. I suspect the arm rest issue is having to lean on your elbow on the armrest. The battery issues sound like a heck of a lot of work to get access. I would connect cables to it and run it up out of the carpet and have it easily accessible to a portable high-capacity battery jumper. I own a C5 corvette and like the C7 but never really decided to buy one. I too worry about my front bumper and the easy fix to that is back it up to the curb. These TR 6060's and 6070's are built very borderline to the power these cars make when it comes to the synchros. These trans can take abuse and power/rpm up to a point, the synchros will get stiffer and notchier over time, and eventually itll be so stiff you're constantly grandma shifting especially at hi rpm. The best solution is get your trans built by RPM or Tick and your trans will shift butter smooth and with no notch (carbon synchros, bronze shift forks, etc). Also, stop no lift shifting, thats really hard on your synchros.

From what I've seen and tried, only the Honda Civic Type R and the Porsche GT products got shifters perfect. I think Corvette shifters tend to be overly notchy because while you are connected to the trans with hard linkages, it's an extender that goes to the back right?
