    I ran a byd forklift in Canada, it was a nice experience, when the production line went to two shifts though the nice experience turned somewhat problematic, the battery could not keep up to two shifts. Overnight it would charge and the day shift was ok but the afternoon shift you had to recharge about every 45 minutes or so for about twenty minutes. so it was only practical for an eight hour shift. Other than that it was a very concise unit to run, we built a push arm on it and used it in a sawmill pilling 2x6/8/10/12’s into packages, you could consistently offload a board within 2/3 millimeters off where you wanted it.( that’s concise in a fast paced sawmill) we used it in an outdoor setting so when it rained the windows fogged badly. It was best suited for an indoor warehouse. If I found an indoor setting to run one I would follow the job posting, it was a joy to run when weather conditions were favourable. Oh and I should mention the ev and hydrolics runs much quieter than a hydraulic and gas/ propane engine. You could get away without hearing protection when running the byd.

      Electric Forklifts use lead acid cells & remember they lift heavy weights as well as travel to 8 hours is really good. Double shifing requires a spare battery thats charged while the other is being used.

      BYD partnered with the Philippine conglomerate Ayala to expand its passenger car sales network. Ayala's automotive arm, AC Motors, handles the sales and maintenance of BYD's EVs.

    • @alphaomega1969
      @alphaomega1969 16 днів тому

      @@nealaskme6272 In the Philippines, the maintenance cost for a BYD EV over five years is estimated to be ₱26,000 or more. This is significantly less than the maintenance cost for a traditional car, which is estimated to be ₱95,000 or more over the same period.
      BYD EVs require less maintenance than traditional cars because they have fewer moving parts and don't need engine oils, transmission fluids, or other lubricants. Over five years, the only parts that need to be replaced are the brake pads, brake fluids, AC filters, and wiper blades.
      BYD EVs also come with a battery warranty that covers 8 years or 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. The power of the battery only diminishes to 80% after around 5,000 full charge cycles.

    I made a comment about preferring to buy one of this Chinese companies vehicles rather than a Tesla.. the truth is I am a roller and Bentley man but I see the difference in cost between the Tesla which to me looks like a sardine can at 60 to 100 k and the BYD prices as a god send to the world. I only wish that the European car industry and governments would invest together to produce similar electric cars at the same prices. I would like to see an amalgamation of euro financiers, governments, worker and eurozone car manufacturers come together immediately with the promise and ethos of a people’s car. Not just a group of ripoff Murchants and directors. I for one would gladly investing such a venture.

    For everyone who wants to buy one the average wage per hour is under $4 an hour, so hopefully your company matches that for you! The $4999 is vapor ware it’s about $10k and I think the range is about 150 miles on the American standard in warm weather and about 120 in cold. BYD has major cost advantages because China has awful environmental conditions and has children in Africa mining the rare earth minerals in the mines they control. Europe better act fast because soon they won’t have an auto industry the same as their solar panel manufacturers that have all closed.
