These guys never value anything that isn't American. If the f22 does the same maneuvers it's fantastic but if a Russian fighter does it they'll question what the practical use is.

Also it only has audio and it talks about evading one missile but somehow all the shills start talking like there is 2, 3, 4, 5 missiles. The one that got away was the exception. Why aren't you talking about all the times that su-34s got shot down by patriot missiles. They took down 3 of them in one night. So now do we start pretending that su-34s are just cannon fodder for the patriot? The exception doesn't disprove the rule and you need to live in reality and stop being shills.

    Couple of notes:
    1) The demos at Zhuhai this year were flown by Sergey Bogdan, Sukhoi chief test pilot, aged 62. He's a legend, but age is slowing him down. Slightly.
    2) The plane flown is an older T-50 prototype (specifically, T-50-4 [054 Blue]), so there's a lot of stuff that isn't here that is on a production Su-57. Sukhoi brought two prototypes down to show off - T-50-7 (Blue 057) on static display and T-50-4 (Blue 054) for flying.
    3) The prototypes have 2.5D (angled 2D, like the newer Flankers) thrust vectoring, but the production models have new full 3D vectoring engines. We know this because they brought a couple of the engines down to show off too.
Source: I was literally in Zhuhai Friday traipsing through the airshow. Hell of a time. Very fun. Would recommend.

As an aviation enthusiast I don't really care for people's saltiness on a Russian airplane over their political bias. Su-57 is a great plane and when you put that in the hands of a great pilot it is destined to produce awesome results. It's an air show and this is what exactly what they are going to showcase. It's true that F-22 is still cool and deadly but that shouldn't prevent us from appreciating something else that's awesome.(sorry Mover, but lighten up a little bit mate 😛) For me when it comes to tech - it doesn't matter where the origin is. don't understand half this commentary because it makes no sense... actually after i had watched this when it popped up in my feed a week ago i had to go look up an F-22 demo(circa 2018) and the ONLY noticeable difference between the planes capabilities was the F-22 had slightly faster climb rate and a little tighter turning. but after reading how old the pilot is and the fact he's not even properly suited up it begs the question that they purposely underperformed the planes full capabilities. also lets not forget that "nothing a Raptor doesn't do" is kind of hilarious i'd say more or less that it's the Raptor that doesn't do anything this plane doesn't do BECAUSE it's based on maneuvers and the SU-27 Flanker which was doing aerial acrobatics well before the F-22 ever came onto the scene... timelines fellas, i realize you might not be old enough or maybe huffing too much oxygen in training has killed a few brain cells but ya'll talk like a lot of the people that have dismissed me predicting much of this Ukraine war to at least an 80% accuracy and nailing some things dead nuts on!

If you are shown how a sports car accelerates to 300 kilometers per hour, this means that at a speed of 200 you will be able to smoke a cigar and steer. F22 and su57 are both amazing planes, i am sure there is more to these planes then they are admitting too
Gonky at the end, knows there is more to this plane

Oh my God, they are real Americans. They did not talk anything about the distinctive take-off and the rest of the movements. They were looking for the practical feasibility of each aerobatic movement, forgetting that these movements are to demonstrate the aerodynamic characteristics of the plane. If American planes perform with this quality, why don't you record such videos instead of just talking?

If someone wanted pure CIA propaganda garbage, we'd watch Task & Purpose.
I appreciate Gonky at least trying to add honest opinions, while Mover continues the propaganda BS, pretending that Russian pilots are showing off a flat spin means that they are somehow suggesting thats what they would do in combat, and not showing you the insane nose authority like Gonky said.
Also, the Su-57 uses 3D thrust vectoring, not 2D like the F-22.
The pilot is a 62yo without a modern g-suit and just on that amazing performance
Mover suggesting the visibility isn't good because "you sit high" was amazing. That's literally the second most important feature to good visibility, second to only a bubble canopy, which even he himself has brought up in previous videos.
The Su-57 uses a modern helmet mounted display, which slaves the gun sight, plane's radar and IR seeker data, allowing the pilot to aim and lock his weapons by simply looking towards the target, which some of Russia's super manueverable missiles allow them to be shot at targets almost directly behind your own aircraft. The Su-57's HMD is a more advanced version of the HMD introduced on and used with both the MiG-29 and Su-27
Acting like the Su-57's weaponry and electronic systems are so far behind the US, specifically the F-22, is beyond misleading. The F-22 was designed in the 1980's, while the Su-57 was designed in the 1990's, 2000's, and continues development to this day such as the engines and integrating new more sophisticated weapons that Russia has produced. No one suggests that the F-22 isn't technologically superior, but to pretend the Su-57 is that far behind is disingenuous. Especially since both Mover and Gonky have experience around modern Russian systems, when training with friendly nations like India and Indonesia, both of which use modern Suhkoi aircraft alongside US made fighters, giving the closest experience a Western pilot can get fighting against Russian jets. Mind you, this is against export models that dont have the most capable systems that Russia keeps for their own models.

I think his point was more that it's not super useful in a modern combat space. Even Gonky seemed to indicate that its mostly useful in a gun fight. But in modern times, when you can shoot missiles at planes behind you or shoot at planes well past the horizon, I'm not sure how often you're going to get a chance to use guns. Whoever gets the first good missile shot off is likely going to be the victor. Especially when preventing friendly fire is so much easier with the way modern US fighters communicate with each other and allies (ie don't need physical confirmation before firing, a la Vietnam).

When you're being targeted by a true stealth fighter from BVR or AA missiles like Patriot, it's pretty useless. If you're in a Vietman era dogfight, sure, it's useful.

@@TC2290-wh5cb In fact, it is much more useful in long-range air combat. With increasing altitude, the air loses density and the control surfaces become less efficient. How long will it take for the viper to turn 180 degrees at an altitude of 10km and at a speed of 1M? About 20 seconds. This is the time it takes for a rocket to fly 20-30 km, you just don't have time to get away from the impact. How long will the Su-30/35/57 take? Judging by a recent video from the C-70, 5 seconds for 135 degrees, and 6 for 180. This is a completely different matter, you can launch all the missiles at a distance of 150% of the hit, turn around almost instantly and leave. Due to the Doppler effect and stealth, you will be almost impossible to notice
