Hi h m
It was ❤️ ly
I did from 1-10 it was a 10😁👌💯
Roman holiday, Sabrina ❤❤
This movie got better and better and better as each minute went by...and the grand finale....oh my!
Right!!!!!???? I’m like “YESSSSSSS!!!!” Honestly this is real cinema gold! What a TWIST! I loved it
Refreshing to watch good acting with out vulgar
SADLY IT`S SO OVER LOOKED, BUT ITS BELONGS WITH THE BEST FILMS THAT TWIST AND TURNS TO THE END
One of my all time favourites!! Classic Cary Grant playing himself to perfection and the gorgeous Audrey Hepburn playing a young gorgeous woman to perferction. Fantastic storyline that keeps you on the edge of the seat until the very last scene!! I've watched it 5 or 6 times over the years, but it is still a 10/10 for me. 21 Apr 2023
One of my favorites of Audrey Hepburn's movies. Loved the chemistry between her and Cary Grant. Liked everything Grant ever did. Same with A.H. Just a cool movie with a twist.... love it. They don't make movie stars like they used to.
My Fair Lady
Such fun, thank you.
I cannot stress how wonderful it is to watch these old classic movies in b&w and colour even the noir. The actors, directors, the scripts were well-written and had great dialogue, in the storyline, without all the BS in today's world of movie-making. The only difference is the pixels and the technological abilities.
This gem of a movie has more twists and turns than a roller coaster! You dont have to worry about being assaulted with blasphemous language or sex scenes. It's a pure clean mystery whodunit movie that keeps you guessing to the end. Hepburn and Grant are glorious together too.
No, just Cary Grant saying the problem was Audrey was too old for him, he'd prefer a 15 year old. Wouldn't get away with that nowadays! There may not have been sex scenes or swearing, but there was a lot of violence. I still enjoyed the movie though.
@@helenbartoszek243 he was being sarcastic - as in he was too old for her! That's why the plot is more her chasing him, that was at his request because he thought him chasing her would be ridiculous for their age difference.
@@birchlover3377 My comment was in response to Go Go Is's comment.
"Being assaulted with blasphemous language or sex scenes(+gory violence scenes)" is a good description for modern films.
I stopped watching them. I don't like throwing up-in public or in private.
@vidhushekhar17 🙄 Blasphemous? Ha! Are you serious?
Blasphemy is a victimless crime! 😜
This movie is without any doubt the greatest Hitchcock movie that was never made by Hitchcock
Saw this movie when it was new soo many years ago. This is the 3rd time decades later and enjoyed it and appreciated it even more! Wonderfully written storyline performed by the best, Hepburn and Grant have always been favorites of mine! Second Hepburn movie I've seen today. 👍👍❤️❤️❤️
60 Years later and still such a well scripted, well cast, perfectly performed from A-to-Z, and still such a wonderfully rewarding film...!!!👌
Definitely a Stanley Donen Masterpiece, with the unforgettable Henry Mancini musical score, Givenchy "draping" Audrey Hepburn in stunning 1960s haute French couture throughout, and Hepburn indeed in one of her MANY Peaks of absolute onscreen career beauty.....!!!😍
Always Remarkable Cary Grant in 100% Classic Form..... with again his Calling Card stoic sense of humor _"in all the right places",_ culminating with a truly Superb Ending!!!😂
😊😊❤❤❤❤🎉I Lovecraft movie!
One of the best movies ever made.
I've watched this movie so many times I can practically recite it.
What a wonderful gift UA-cam is! Movies at our fingertips. Thanks Retrospective - Classic Movies!
My favorite comedy mystery thriller movie of all time
Style charisma, gentleman, and beautiful woman cloak and guns, fake names, love romance, and marriage, Audrey Hepburn, and Cary Grant what an assembly of fun and action, great movie.
He thought so - he loved doing this with Audrey. He only agreed to play the part if he never came onto Audrey with only her coming onto him otherwise he would look like a dirty old man.
Fake names. Ha.
The music was so appropriate. One of my favorite melodies. If only life turned out like this. One to one makes love.
I love the mix of comedy and mystery. Especially the reference to "My Fair Lady" (Cary says " on the street where you live.")
This was before my fair lady
Six great actors = One timeless film!
What a Golden movie, old is Gold indeed
This one has all star cast written on it Hepburn,Grant,Coburn , and Matthau enough said 😃👌💯
Marvelous film starting with Henry Mancini music. The visual is so clear and HD quality. Audrey and the irresistible divine Cary Grant with those elegant British accents. Some suspense action had me on the edge. Mesmerizing Cary and Audrey . I love these actors.
moment to moment
Never get tired of this fabulous film, thanks for posting it.
saw this with my mom on TCM many years ago, the beautiful thing about that is I had to get almost to the end to remember fully how it went, that's the sign of a GREAT MOVIE! Found myself talking to my mom as well miss ya mom just like an old sailor with many years of life & sea behind him whos drowning at sea & his last words are "I LOVE YOU MOM"
I watched this film with my mum too. I know exactly what you mean. I miss my mum so much too.
you cant beat a Cary Grant movie, Operation Petticoat, Father Goose and I Was A Male War Bride are my top 3 CG films
So true the only movie I don't have is I was a male order bride and I've tried to find it

Dont forget Bringing up Baby
Fantastic!
Father Goose? I think I should know this move. But ...
@@danijelandroid its a good'un 👍
Even though I’m not a big fan of old movies, this was an extremely enjoyable experience
Imagine how enjoyable on a big screen, as they were meant to be watched. (Waiting for Palo Alto's Stanford Theatre to reopen now that Covid has subsided.)
This was 2 years before I was born, and I too have become old.
I was 12 years old when this was made and I have become old
I have this movie I'm on my third DVD love it Cary grant and Audrey Hepburn are a great combination
The greatest Hitchcock movie that Hitchcock didn't make
That’s a great compliment 😂
WONDERFUL MOVIE! I highly recommend it! It has a treasure trove of actors and a grand plot!
I swear to God Audrey Hepburn looks great in this
James Coburn was one of my friends favorite actors, somewhat under rated. He starred in great movies and was always super cool
I love him ! great actor . My favorite of his , The Presidents Analyst, and of course Our Man Flint movies
An absolutely outstanding classic thriller.
Last time I watched these movie 9 years ago and still incredible in my mind. I would never forget how beautiful all original music track. Very hypnotized.
I was looking up more information on Audrey Hepburn. No winder she was so thin with all the smoking she did. Such an incredibly talented actress and great humanitarian.
Absolutely fantastic thriller movie for its time! - I'd even say, timeless.
This is a really good movie! Worth watching many times :)
Finally, the Mancini opening theme not muted
TWO FOR THE ROAD(1967) w/ Audrey Hepburn & Albert Finney. It's a bittersweet dramady on a 13-year marriage, that jumps back-and-forth in time. If you've never seen it, see it. If you've seen it, see it again. It's more than worth the journey.
Delightful film. Grant good as always.
Hepburn, a beauty.
My favourite Cary grant movie and with Audrey Hepburn. I love this movie ❤😂
Goodness I love this movie as a kid along with this awesome twist that has a good mystery like Clue. Favorite classic from her and a first exposed to Audrey Hepburn as a star.
Thank you. One of the best movies. EVER!
A classic. Fun and exciting with twists and turns.
Great movie, thank you.
This is the first time I see the old movie. Very funny indeed!
Love this movie saw it when I was a kid
Love this film. Better every time I watch it.
Always wanted the chase music in the subway sequence to be on the album. When this movie first played, I saw it as a kid in a small Lake Tahoe north shore theatre. When the titles came out of the train sequence, spinning and dancing, it thrilled me. Didn't hurt having that pulsing music either. I finally made my own film as a dedication to film and film music. It's on youtube as Bum Rap Andre Hunt.
Wonderful film. I've seen it many times.. And never understood by this film is in public domain. Indeed it's been on UA-cam.. Since UA-cam was invented.. Which is great!
Universal failed to put up a proper copyright notice, which was required.
A real joy to watch all these old, famous actors in one movie. Audrey Hepburn excelled again. The crooks were very impressive too 🙂
💁♀️
Thanks for this! I keep getting older, and this 🎥 keeps getting better!
I hadn't seen this in a long time. Lots of LOL performances. OMG! Thirty-three-year-old Audrey Hepburn! OMG! What a beauty! Here's my George Kennedy story: He retired to Idaho and, when I was in Boise on a hot summer day visiting relatives, I stopped by Dairy Queen for a cone. I was standing in line when I heard the guy in front of me ordering a blizzard. I thought I recognized the voice and, when he got his blizzard and turned around, I saw it was George Kennedy! LOL! What a surprise! The guy was huge! Like a big bear!
Fantastic. Love all these films. Good ole UA-cam and the brilliant channels. Who needs MSM!
🔥Cary Grant
Ice cream cone with white gloves; is that for real ?? ❤
What a splendor...
This film was restored in 2.003. I saw it for the first time in Houston, TX in December 2.001 on TV.
This is a fantastic film. Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn are superb in this film. Miss Hepburn dresses so beautifully and always looks beautiful. She is dressed by Givenchy, as always. Finally, Punch and Judy is so violent and not a good show for children.
Even though Punch and Judy is not good for kids too see, it was extremely popular in its day. Also, Cary Grant saying Audrey is too old for him, he'd prefer a 15 year old is not good either. But I guess we can't judge an old movie by today's standards.
@@helenbartoszek243I think he was just joking, but she was 34 here so she wasn’t really that young for it to be too bad to say that.
Couldn't they ever cast Hepburn with a man somewhere near her age? Harrison, Bogart, Grant are wonderful and deserved to be paired with a grown up.
And she deserved to get a romantic lead that was plausible for her to fall in love with. the casting directors have obviously never heard of a father complex.
well, i guess only in breakfast at tiffany's... and i agree with you, she was often paired up with superb actors, but they were always older than her :/
She also played with Fred Astaire! He looked as her grandpa.
@@kidrauhlbrThere’s also ‘How to Steal a Million’ and ‘Two For the Road’.
That was a great movie ❤️❤️❤️😊
Ohh the charm of old Hollywood.
Brilliant film - the second half ws the best. They dont make movies like this anymore. Thoroughy enjoyed it !
Boring. Right for democratic women. Also American TV shows this cheap picture almost twice a week on one of a public channels. I am fed up...
Great cast! Great story! Great directing. Just superb! Look who did the music!
You would think it was by Alfred Hitchcock.
This is one of my favourite movies. On the Hitchcoc gere.
9:44 Could this inspector & this soundtrack have been Blake Edward's inspiration for Jacque Clouseau?
So cute ! 🎭♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
That scene where they both tweak about the stamps... brilliant😆😁!
❤️ ly movie
What a great movie, one of my favorites. Yes, Grant was a bit old for the part but who cares? The cast aside from Grant were all terrific - Audrey Hepburn, James Coburn, Ned Glass, George Kennedy and the wonderful Walter Matthau. And I loved the dialog - so wittily funny.
Peter Joshua: Do we know each other?
Reggie Lampert: Why, do you think we're going to?
Peter Joshua: I don't know. How would I know?
Reggie Lampert: Because I already know an awful lot of people, and until one of them dies I couldn't possibly meet anyone else.
All in all one of the last true gems of old Hollywood.
Recomiendo esta película tan genial! Lo tiene todo: suspenso, humor sano, aventura, romance, twists. Una maravilla completa. Además felicito a "Retrospective - Classic Movies" por la calidad de la imágen y el audio con opción de subtitulos.
Such a satisfying ending! But wait.....what if this guy's still pretending? After so many headbreaking twists, now I can't trust him a bit :)
LOVE Audrey Hepburn anda Cary Grant
Roman Holiday!
Thank you. I loved it!

The most beautiful woman born on this planet or any other! Perfection!
Grace Kelly 👍.
@@robertp7209 Grace Kelly was highly promiscuous, and that’s not beautiful.
Not hardly
i enjoyed every moment, also so funny and a good way .
Great movie!!
Loved it!!! ❤
Just listening to this album today
3d grade when this movie was made... better influence on children these older movies are.
Just imagine! Letting a child wander alone in an open market!
Kids had more freedom back then .
It was a different time.
@@verasmith4767 Indeed we did - I was one of them!
That was back when people could be trusted to be decent, those times are sadly long gone
Way too many adverts but a very good film nevertheless.
There were no ads at all when I watched it just now.
I got a lot too, but most movies on this channel have a lot of ads. I guess it’s the price to pay for a free movie!
Good movie 😊
Splendid, Superb story
Times when we could properly listen to the dialogue without having a constant annoying music background.
Great movie
I enjoyed it
great movie
Amazing such a big fuss over only $250,000.
A GREAT MOVIE BUT FOR ONE ODD PART. HOW COULD THE OTHERS NOT KNOW WALTER MATTHAU WASN'T DYLE ALL ALONG??
Excited to see this.
"The man and that woman are married."
"Oh, I can see that: they are batting each other over the head."😁😅
She fell in love awful quick! Not even considering he’s lied how many times lol. This happens in just a couple days. She’s crazy lol!
Cat 🐈 😎! And mouse 🐁 ♥ 😍 great classic film 🎥 👌 👍 👏 great actors 💘
This film is much more interesting than Arabesque 😃😃
Arabesque started the great Sophia Loren, making it a better film by default. Audrey Hepburn never did it for me to waif like. Something about her voice irritated me. Sophia was all woman, smart, talented and sexy
This movie would be so boring without Audrey.
Quarter of a mil air worth it.
so enjoyable 😀

Where is Cary Grant when you need him......
The funny one I mentioned was 'bringing up baby' it's on UA-cam somewhere.
Las películas de Audrey Epbun soy estupenda, aquí en CHILE traducción en Español, de manera que se pueda entender la trama.
