At last! Been waiting for this one. Looks like it is at least equal to the already amazing Avenger, maybe more, plus some quality upgrades( more metal, stainless steel reg, etc) and all of the interchangeable parts. 177 to 22 for example. And more power? Another winner from AV!

Loving the Avenge-X.. Got it out the last couple days. .25 cal shooting very nice out to 100 yards. We have been developing parts for it, including a magnetic foster fill cap to make the fill process even quicker!

This is the best Airgun test review video I have seen. And I don't know if this Avenge-X is underpriced or the other High end Brands are overpriced. This is definitely competition grade.
Informative and well narrated. I find the noise of the hitting ther backstop a bit annoying when I am wearing earbuds but still deserves a thumbs up.

My 25 cal is sending the JTS 29 grain pellets right at 885. Getting about 4 mags.
Have you played with the trigger yet? Mine is maxed out meaning the sear and travel screws both are screwed in as far as they will go. Its not bad just wish i could go a bit lighter. Wondering if a longer screw will work like in the Gamo CAT triggers ?
Have you had a chance to test velocities and groups between High and Low power? I was going to get an Avenger, but I may spring for the Aveng-X. Just have to decide between 22 and 25 cal.

I wish you would shoot them all over a Chrony that tells the FPE like Airgun Detectives does. That and accuracy is how I determine if I want one for my collection or not. Keep up the good work bro.
Cool. Most guns should be tuned to shoot 870-930 FPS for the best accuray. 870-890 in most cases, 930-950 for heavy ammo
@@AirgunChannel It's perplexing how there is so much deviation of of FPE for guns that have the same FPS. Even with the same ammo. It's not a small deviation either. Some have much more FPE at the same velocity.
Picked up my Avenge X in 22. Believe you said out of the box yours was shooing around 950fps and does best at 890? Without having a chrono is it possible for me to tune on my own? If so can you tell me how many turns counter on the hammer spring I would need to get me in the ball park of the 890? I've got it zeroed in pretty nice now at 45yds but my POI changes from day to day by an inch or so. I make changes and then it goes back to where it was. Do you think this is from too high a pressure? Shooting off a bench with bipod attached using talos BTR Gen 2 Scope and Donny FL RYU. My first PCP so new to tuning. Appreciate any help on this.

Any $99 Donny FL, I do not use a modertator if I don't have to. I like to keep the factory harmonic balance.

Great review Nate. I'm still bummed can't get the original avenger in .177 shooting accurate with 10.5 g. Messed with the reg and hammer spring. Anyone have some advice? Yes yes I tried other pellets. 7.9, 8.44, 10.34 ,and 10.5. Same outcome

I had all kinds of accuracy issues with my 177 X. I bought a new barrel by itself and the new one stacks pellets. I had a defective barrel.

Different scopes, rings, adjustable rings (optically center scope), barrel stabilizer rings/ outer band, free floated barrel, different moderators, Multiple cleanings, etc. I thought i had something when i went from lubed pellets to dry .. still fliers here and there but it was getting better. But then id be getting dimes at 20 yards one day and the next back to buck shot lol. Shot so many 177 pellets I eventually shattered the hammer spring.
@@Jeeper1378 I just think that rifle isn't really made for .177. My buddy has a .22 avenger and it shoots decent but I will say that JTS Airacuda standard that I picked up for $320.00 shoots lights out,,,out of the box.

How do they price the barrel kits so low? Seems a no brainer to have all 3 barrels kits to swap in or out.
Totaly. They made that gun "in house"...so they must have bought alot of parts at once.

Dreamlite lite is a Peach! This wood Avenge-X is pretty sweet though. I had my brother in law shoot it and it blew him away. Most people have never experienced accuracy like that. Good stuff.

To an Avenger, probably not.
All the avenge-x models use the same barrel n can swap .177, .22 or .25.

Question for anyone, in the manual it says to reset reg to screw all the way in and then back 1/4 turn. Is the 1/4 turn necessary? Want to try and get mine set as low as possible with the 177 barrel kit. I can run slugs in high with the reg around 2k but 10/13 grain pellets i have to run on low power. Just feel if the reg could be run lower the gun would be more efficient and increase shot count.
Fwiw i run the 25 grain 25 cal setup at 2150 reg 2 1/2 HS @ 880 FPS. 29 grain pellets with reg set the same and a couple more turns of the HS get ave 870 fps.
1/4 turn is not necesarry, Just turn it a bit.

Having now all 3 of the barrels, the 177 air hole is smaller than the 22/25 requiring more reg pressure.
What is the best average pellet speed and regulator setting for this gun from your observation?

Well...I thought I was getting the first one in the USA. I got mine 2 weeks after all the other UA-camrs. LAME! Not sure why they would be out. Maybe the .177's didn't get to the USA yet.
I'm in the same boat you are. My only option is the more expensive Benjamin Marauder F&T. Wish they would give dependable ship dates. Don't know if I should bail or hold on. Really want the Avenge X.
It actually hurt when I didn't get mine. But the value and versatility of this rifle is something else. I believe it's worth the wait

If you was to pick one rifle for over all, hunting and plinking, which one will you get. The avenge X 25 cal or the Macivity M2 25 cal you did a video on. And which one of the two has more power?
You should be able to turn both of them up, but I never tried it. The X is pretty awersome but mine started leaking. The Mackavity will come tuned to perfection. The X you would probably hacve to tune.

Pyramid Air has them. I ordered mine Oct 24 and hot it on Oct 30th. From what I was told they have all calibers.
By the way it shoots great . I have the 25 cal.

just curious, why do you say to leave the regulator alone?
Depends on what pellet weight and FPS you want. When adjusting the hammer spring FPS will stop rising at certain point. If you still need more speed, raise the reg some, bring HS all the way out and try again.
How does it shoot slugs? Tuning for a specific slug?
You would have to find the right speed for your slug. around 900fps most likely.

I’m getting the tube type in wood stock to replace/add to my Liberty. She’s getting long in the tooth and this will be a major upgrade to a basicly a gen 1 900HP. Couldn’t have happened to a better gun. Not very pellet picky either. Bet it still has the flat uncrowned cut off barrel.😉😂
