- So you've just started playing the game and you're a bit confused because the tutorial doesn't properly explain how to get started? This video will help explain what you need to know without ruining the fun of discovery and also shares a few super valuable things to know along the way.
Craft the World can be purchased on Steam for about 20 euros.

Just pick this game up, and even with the tutorial have very little idea what to do. I loved your video! It’s a really great way to get me started off on the right foot. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this!
Oh comments like these make me so happy, because it means that the very core purpose of making this video was fulfilled. I was exactly in your shoes when I first played this. Like you say, the tutorial is not entirely clear, so once I figured out the basics, I really wanted to help others get off to a smoother start. Have fun!
Fun game and nice video.
It's a fun game jump into anytime and spend hours paying it.
Hey there! Judging from your username, you're a team of dad and son that love minecraft? You guys might want to check out my Wurm videos, because Wurm is the previous game made by the Minecraft guy Notch. Wurm works in a similar way (you can terraform and build, farm, breed animals etc) but it's just with traditional "realistic" graphics instead.
You have to be kidding me. I've got over a hundred hours in this game and had no idea about the auto fill button. The amount of time I spent clicking and dragging and double clicking items to add them to a recipe. Unbelievable. Nice job.
Haha awesome that it was useful to even someone more seasoned in the game like yourself. Thanks for the nice comment!
What a nice voice! Thank you for this kind of video which helped me at least removing this game from my pile of shame to actual playing. Keep on, I like the way you do videos.
This game is fairly simple, but manages to keep me engaged every time i'm starting it again.
Same!
Cheers for this video I got this game back in 2015 and never really gave it a go, but now I love the concept of it! Great video thank you mate
Handy video - I learnt some things I didn't know. Especially the recycling of old items!
One thing I don't think you mentioned was that if there is for example a row of three wood in the recipe you only need to place the middle one, double click it and it spreads :)
lovely game and lovely presentation. i like that u respect the players discovery of the game and only reveal enough to get us started without showing us too much.
would love to see u do a multiplayer video of this game.
thumbs up!
cheers.
Aw what a nice comment! Thank you! I tried the multiplayer a couple of times, but it just wasn't my thing really. A shame.
make a serie plz!!, you explained so well and clear the basics and useful tips for this amazing game.
i speak spanish and i could understand all your explanation, nice videos :), i love managment, city builder, etc games cus iam architect so plz make more videos, you have a nice voice to make the narrative interesting.
That's great to hear this was useful for you, thanks for the nice words! It's a fun game isn't it! However, I don't want to make any more vidoes for this since I don't want to ruin the fun of discovery :).
Thanks a lot for a fantastic video! I am just starting and this helped. But that castle of yours impressed me a lot and now i am afraid i cannot make such glorious home for my dwarves. Thanks a lot again.
Aww that's so kind of you to say, thank you! And I'm glad this old video offered something useful!
VERY WELL done! Thank you.
This was terrific, thanks!
You're most welcome!
a couple of things I didn't know there, thank you. I tend to build most of my base underground, but was curious if I could build a decent castle, I didn't know how to recycle my old weapons, so thanks for that tip.
just started to play this game , your video is a great help :) Thank you
Glad it was useful!
KatsPurr sorry can I just ask , how do I feed them ?
@@dchippie The wiki has quite nice info about this, I hope it helps! crafttheworld.gamepedia.com/Food
KatsPurr Thank you 👍
Liking this for the Ctrl+R tip alone, tons of good advice but that is a great piece of info I wish they provided in the base game. Such a great game but why no keybinds list, devs? :(
I like how complex it becomes, at protecting your house!
It's a fantastic little game, isn't it! Hugely underrated in my opinion.
Thanks for your videos. Subbed!
Aw thank you very much! Glad you enjoy them. :)
I recently started this game, and I feel I would like it a lot, but the gameplay is very clunky and often poorly explained. However, the game has such an amazing charm that Im pushing through :3
Yup, I agree with you 100%. When first starting the game, I felt the same - that the usability was not very good, but once you finally figure things out, it all makes sense!
a nice example is the "housing". The game never really tells you what constitutes as a house, so I ended up level 7 without a house and 7 half-health dwarves XD... So thanks for demonstrating. It might be a simple thing but yeah :P... easy to miss.
Dwarves falling in pits over and over can be annoyance though >.>
Very true!
Thanks so helpful.
Great to hear it was useful!
@KatsPurr question for you. Do you still play craft the world after many many years?
I sure do! About once a year I go on a Craft the World craze and play it intensely.
Hi love your videos, I just got the game looking for a guide for lighting placement least amount of lights to maximize ..
Thank you Wade! I'm glad they are useful!
Like your CTW vids thank you..... Bushes give leaves also.
Keep your comfort above 50% to stop rats from spawning..... :)
love yah Katz
Did you build that nice castle in the campaign or sandbox mode?
Hey Martin! Oh man... it was so many years ago, I can't remember. But what I can say is that it would be just as easy/hard to build that in either mode.
some tips: keep CTRL pressed to make use of a second action bar. Doubleclick an item to equip items without having to drag it. Keep right mouse button pressed and hover over tiles to mine a series. And crafting and DECRAFTING the sames items back and forth also works to level something real quick ; return rates not that bad.
(drag a crafted item (which isnt crafted in amounts of 2 or more per craft) into crafted item square and press red button to decompose.
Maikel van Gulik Wow, some GREAT tips there, thank you so much!
Was this game meant to be a mobile app? The interface has a very mobile-like arrangement. Anyways, I heard of this game before but I lost track of it and forgot about it. But like you, I also found this game charming and entertaining. I'm planning to buy it soon.
Well one thing I do know, is that you can buy this on mobile as well. I bought it off the app store after I'd played the PC version, hoping it would be something nice to do on train rides. However the play experience is definitely much more pleasant on PC. Not sure which version was the first, or whether they developed multiplatform from the start. Yep, it's a fun little game!
Very helpful video, thanks!
My pleasure!
I love so much your voice.
Do you still play Wurm tho ?
Hehe thanks. And yes I play Wurm every day! :)
hey, do you know if the game is going to get updated on ios?
I have no idea. You're probably better off asking them in Steam.
THX A LOT :)
but how did you get the totem, i dont have the recipe for it
Hey Kvit. Totems can be crafted once you reach the master furnishing tech in the Technology Tree.
You get a free one at like level 2 or something.
like the previous graphics more tbh
hi nice video where you from??
there is no tips in this video, you are begginer as well, why misleading title ??

The Game is still a broken beta in 2022.
The developers never finished programming the game. Since these problems have existed for a few years, it is also clear that the developers never intended to finish developing the game.
KI is totally broken and the Game is full of bugs. So sad there is also no Mods to fix the problems.
Nah game is good . There aren't any problems
And use a face cam
Basically it's Terraria a la D&D sauce. I hate 2D games.
It’s nothing like either game… terraria is a completely different genre and dnd is literally tabletop. Stop putting all 2D games into the same market because of their presentation and formulate an opinion based in facts.
