If you're too lazy for the monster portal, dig trenches around your main compound, try to leave as much natural spawning blocks as possible Monsters cannot destroy them, but can destroy any block you place
In early game i use Combination of dwarf with bow and fire Arrow and dwarf with mace, it's quite effective to fight against the monster portal, but ant is hard to defeat even with 9 dwarf
If you're talking about the ant hive, I think a fairly good idea is utilising the fireball spell or using your portal spell right in the middle of the hive. Or you could just let them live as they don't really give you anything of interest (:
Hey. I'm wondering, is there a way to tell a dwarf to drain at a dummy permanently until he reach max level ? It's annoying to send him back every level.
Not to my knowledge, no. CTRL + T is probably your best friend, it's quicker than managing a single dwarf, the downside being you don't get to decide who goes to train (assuming you don't have enough dummies for everyone). It also interrupts every other order in your colony. All in all, it's either manually send him every time or just send everyone.
Hello! I'm not 100% certain, but I believe that you can't get more than 999 coins, so all of the extra coins you collect at that point will probably go to waste. So feel free to spend the coins you get! (:

@@godrael9709 Thanks a lot. Control T will be way less annoying than searching dwarves one by one. 😉
One thing does the gold coins stack more than 999 or not ?
