Glad to see that Razer is taking steps in the right direction! I love the fact that the keyboard comes with mods that enthusiast are commonly doing right now. Currently using the RK61 keyboard with some mods on my own.
Very nice to see the Blackwidow is finally getting a 75% version, and the refresh of the RAZER Orange switches sounds very good also.
Currently using GK64 with TOFU60 case
been watching your channel since the start and u actually inspired me to get into the custom keyboard scene. Because of you, i am currently rocking with the MW65 and the experience so far have been great
props to razer for the strong effort to the custom keyboard scene. would definitely include them in my future plans for custom keyboards
Really happy that Razer's been listening to the community and focusing more into keyboards. Wish to get into custom keyboards, only running a Hunstmans TE at the moment.
The Razer Blackwidow TE was the first ever (external) keyboard that I bought. Most of the products I even bought were razer related. Everything has come a long way since then and I'm glad their giving the larger group of gaming consumers more customizability. I must say was iconic using three cords just for a keyboard. Currently, my daily board is the Mode Envoy FE.
Nice show down. Both keyboard mods looked great. Glad to see Razer is finally trying something new.
Look forward to seeing a review of the keyboard in the future.
Just in case, I'm using the Keychron K8.
im currently using a gmk67 as my first keyboard
Currently using the Akko 3068B+
Razer has def come a long way since their original blackwidow release, and I'm quite surprised at how they finally listened to their consumers
U know the video gonna be good when Lewis and Squashy collabs. Thanks for the amazing content. and btw now im using Cidoo V65! :3
You know it's going to be a good day when there's Lewis and Squashy vids!
bro your presentation on the features of the keyboard is very good, no wonder razer sponsored you.
currently using monsgeek m1, with akko cs silver. so you already know how a gamer I am with the switch preference.
Still using a 3 times handed-down Razer Blackwidow 2010, so hearing about this board is music to my ears ♥
I'm currently using a Next time 75 with some KTT Kang Whites. Very entertaining video!
Still raving with a razer huntsman TE despite the chassis got little color fading, would love to try this next!
Surprisingly good stock sound. My first keyboard was a Corsair K70 and this would have a been a much better option if it was out back then! Currently using either Zoom65 V1 or Ginkgo65
Took Razer awhile but seems like they did a goob job with the new board. Props to Lewis for the mods, the final product sounded fantastic. I'm currently using a Razer Ornata Chroma.
I've loved the orange Razer switches for years now im glad you put it out there. I'm using a Tofu 60 Acrylic with Gateron milky yellows and fake GMK Icebergs.
I'm rocking a KBD67 lite with
- Gateron Milky Yellow (lubed with Krytox 205G0)
- Durock V2 stabilisers (lubed with Krytox 205G0, even on the wires)
- Some $20 eva 01 themed PBT caps
Everything else is stock apart from
- Stabiliser pads
- PE switch foam
- Tape mod
- Some cheap automotive dampening foam
Hi lewis love your vids ❤, I have a TES68 and GMK67. Hope you choose me.
That razer keyboard sounds sooo good even stock!! 😮😮
Happy to see Razer introducing new people into the hobby. I been using a Tester68 for about 2 years now and The BlackWidow V4 would be a great upgrade!
Been using Royal Kludge RK61 for close to a year now, got into the custom keyboard hobby mostly thanks to you, good sire!
That's a sickass keyboard! Currently I'm using the Keychron Q1 V2 with Akko Cherry profile keycaps and Akko Cream Yellow Pro. I did tape mod, force break mod, and added some extra PE foam on the bottom of the case. I'm pretty satisfied with how it sounds but the stabs need some work!
Nice upgrade/customization overall regardless! Currently using the Razer Hunstman TE, looking forward to switch into a custom keyboard soon :)
I'm currently using a Feker Machinist 60% keeb. I modded it with foam and tape but since it's not hotswappable I couldn't change the switches or evenm lube them.
Currently using the nk65 custom keyboard with gateron yellow switches as my first keyboard. Hoping to soon start testing out more keyboards and switches in the future.
I always love beige pairing with wood/brown color, that's what I did with my cub65 and mode sonnet.
Recently joined the hobby and currently using a monsgeek m1! Excited to see razer's entry into the keyboard scene with this board
I use a gamakay LK67 for over a year or so now. Been waiting on the sidelines for a nice and cheap 75%, this looks awesome. Great video!
cheap? haha i dont think razer is known for cheap
great that razer has introduced the custom keyboard. currently using tecware phantom elite+ (orange switches), great value for the price point!
Currently using the GMK67 that I saw one of your videos and I do really like it. I paired it with akko cs gray and durock stabs
I use Gamen Titan Elite and Skyloong SK21 Numpad. Nice build bro.
I've been using a Corsair K70 RGB (Version 1) with Cherry MX Red linear switches for a very long time now. Since the keyboard is almost 10 years old, I probably should have considered getting a new one a long time ago. But now with a looming PC setup refresh coming along the way, I may just end up with needing a new keyboard to match the setup aesthetics.
Great video bruh. It's still a tasteful upgrade that you've done on it despite not winning. But the decisions are subjective. Still a great upgrade noneoftheless. I'm currently using AULA F3Z61 keyboard with some mods on it (Lube switches, tape mod, form mod, and keycaps). It's a budget keyboard build so I didn't get to change the stabs instead I just lube the stock ones.
Amazing video as always! Love to see brands like Razer to start caring more about the sound aspect of mechanical keyboard. I am currently using an GMK67, but I would like to compete because my brother liked how I modded mine, and it would be an insane gift for his birthday, coming in December! Cheers.
I'm currently using a Akko 5075s. Ordered a custom alu plate on it and will see on how much clack I can get with it
I have to say that im pretty new in the hobby as im just observing left and right to buy my first custom keyboard, but what Razer did here looks and sounds spectacular (even considering the price).
My current keeb is not even hotswap, its a drevo calibur v2
dude I just bought the blackwidow sold my gmmk pro for it and OMG it's so NICE
I'm currently using a Monsgeek M3. I could really use a custom 75% for my gaming needs. Great video Lewis!
I use Drop Control rightnow, it's my first and only keyboard to date. I was a newbie and know nothing, don't know what to buy and where to look for. months later I just realize that I can get better keyboard in the same price. The board is good for beginer very, straightforward, easy to assemble but also so little things to play with and almost zero area for [custom]ize. Getting this Razor Blackwidow will open so much experience on custom keyboard world for me.
WOW! That is crazy good acoustics for a stock keyboard
Actually built my first custom keyboard watching your video on the ciy tester68, about time to up my custom keyboard game!
Currently i'm using a GMK67 with KTT strawberry switches, really creamy keyboard but would love to have an upgrade with the Razer Blackwidow V4, even the stock sounds really great surprisingly
Amazing! Currently I using Finalkey V81 Plus.
To be honest, I use to own a lot of Razer keyboard and of course, this board is really game changer for Razer. And competitive price too.
Subbed! Using a Monsgeek M2 for the desk setup and currently trying out the Keychron K15 Pro for something ergonomic.
Currently using an RK68 my first board. Thanks!
Using a keychron v3 going to upgrade it soon love the content my guy
Avalanche v4.2 split ergo
Pretty sick that Razer's gonna have an in-stock widely available internationally that pretty much sounds good out of the box
My first & still "proper" keyboard would be keychron K6. I still remember unboxing a somewhat dented box to see the frame itself being dented and my spacebar being not operational. LOL. Literally press once and it will never come back up. They did sent over a new frame for me but definitely an interesting experience to start of my keyboard journey. Got it lubed & somehow did a "plaster" mod (or at least what I thought was one) and it sounds pretty good!
Great video & hope to see more from razer moving forward ❤
currently using the GMK67
Now that is an insane step up from Razer but the mod made it sound wayyyy better
Used a modded Redragon K631 wired for 8 months now, kinda wanted to get a 75% layout since I will need to use Function keys
Great sounding board! I'm currently using a CM Devastator. Thinning of building something with speed silver switches and something silent! 😅
I'm currently using a Tezarre TK61. It's a hot swap with Gateron Optical Black switches. I've taken it apart to get a look, and I was surprised it has some foam in it already. I did get some more that I'm going to add to it, and I might lube the switches and stabs...def could use some new keycaps but I'm poor so I have to all my upgrades in stages, and I had some PC upgrades I needed to do first, but now that I've added my additional RAM and storage, I can do some stuff with my cheap little keyboard.
Great vid. Jus stepped into the world of custom kb n learning much from yr channel. Now using a razer blackwidow 2013 (with a dead left arrow key)... LOL.. if only it's hot swappable... :P
Currently using a tofu 65 acrylic, but the new blackwidow definitely looks like a solid keyboard
RAZER stepping it up for the enthusiasts! I am currently using RKG68 right now and been looking for a layout change! This RAZER keyboard seems to be a good start for 75% layout!
I'm currently using a Tiger Lite with Gat Yellow KS-9s and Killer65 with Invokeys Blueberry Chiffons.
I am currently looking into the mechanical keyboard hobbie and you have been my favorite youtuber to watch. I love how genuine your videos feel. I am currently using a logitech G213 keyboard.
that's some insane sound, I still wonder how to mod stabs properly since my current keyboard's stabs still sucks. my current keyboard is from my local country, the name is VortexSeries GT-65, altho it's only a rebrand from Cidoo V65
Just bought an ACR Pro 68 from akko 2 weeks ago, all i did was tape mod it and lube the switches and it sounds amazing!!!!
Not bad razer! Stocks sounds pretty good ngl. Im using red dragon K606 Lakshmi, modded and upgraded to akko jelly blacks!
Sick keyboard. Using the Keychron Q1 rn
literally in love with razors new keyboard, im currently just using a gk61 very basic first keyboard
This is gonna make many gamers want to use customs more lol. I used to have a TKL with clickies and now I have a tofu 60 2.0
damn that stock sound is miles better than how I remember orange switches back when they were new in 2014. Razer definitely taking the right steps by having the cable detachable nd hotswapable board. These will greatly improve the lifespan of the gear instead of just throwing them away when they start to get old.
I'm pretty new to this but keyboards are so much fun! I am using the RK84 with jelly blue switches. I haven't gotten brave enough to take a board apart but that will happen!! I do look forward to your video's Louis :)
I am using the Zouya GMK67 with akko yellow creams. Damn Razer really outdid themselves with this new board looks so nice
I’d like to see how this keyboard compares to what I have currently. I’m rocking a Xinmeng M71 and it also sounds impressive stock
using the keychron k1c1 since forever, great video and would love a shot at winning your custom fine tuned v4!
Really great sound from Razer, my current main keyboard is Logitech G915 TKL tactile.
I like the low latency when playing games and the battery lasts for so long before the next charge!
Learned about the budget custom kb scene from your channel and built an akko acr top 40
Awesome video, surprised they made their own tape mod lol. Currently using the on-screen windows keyboard (yes im serious) i had a dierya dk61, it was my first keyboard and it was kinda bad which is probably why it broke.
the pure white v4 actually looks sick ngl
-using a stock rk67 with tapemod only
Really surprised with razer starting to shift into the custom keyboard scene! I’m currently using monsgeek m1
Using a Keychron V1, pretty cool for razer to open up their keyboard to keyboard enthusiasts considering their history with their old ones.
I'm using an Akko Mod 007 V2 with Gateron Oil King Switches. I used all foams, including PE Foam. I did a Tap Mod and got some CK x Wuque Studio Lavender Stabilizers. As Keycaps I used the Cannoncaps Esper.
Great video and love your content. ♥
Currently using a keychron q6 cuz I need the NUMPAD, never used a Razer keeb, but this is looking pretty nice!
I have a gmk67, been thinking of getting a 75% board to see if i like it better
Currently using a GAS67, it's really nice to see Razer reaching out to the enthusiast community, very excited to see what they have in store for the future!
Im using Leobog Hi75, really want to try that Razer's new 75% keyboard layout
Im running a classic razer blackwidow and damn they really does listen to the keyboard community 😮 hopefully i can get my hands on the latest blackwidow to finally retire my old blackwidow
love the sound of your build! I'm using ducky one 3, i might use your build on my ducky to try it out!
Im using a Keychron Q2. Good build on the Razer
You inspired me to build my first keyboard - a keychron & it sounds amazing. I might have to pick this up!
Mine:
Case: KBD67 Lite
PCB: YD67BLE for KBD67
Stabs: Durock v2 Screw In (Lubed)
Plate: Polycarbonate
Switch: Gateron Ink Blacks (Lubed and filmed)
Keycaps: Minimal WoB PBT
Mods:
Tempest/Tape Mod
Foam Mod
O-Ring Mod
Have got myself an EK68 (which uses same base as GMK67 white good). Didn't like the mystery microprocessor/firmware limitation of 1 FN layer, however. Instead I designed my own drop in replacement PCB - now that is customisation lol. It has 16MB flash and a RP2040 for microprocessor. That ought to do it! It's just been manufactured and is waiting to be shipped to me from China. Waiting game begins.
Really glad razer is leaning towards the custom keyboard market now, most of my peripherals are Razer. Currently using a Razer huntsman TE for gaming and a custom Akko Mod 007V2 and a random 60% keyboard i got from Temu 🤣 Awesome vid as always Lewis.
Currently using a budget keyboard called Feker IK75 with some box ink black gaterons. But for gaming, i might wanna switch to TTC Neptunes - as ive watched in some of your vids. Great vid too!
I think it sounds great Lewis! I'm using the Royal Kludge RK84!
I'm using a Keychron q6 with gateron north pole V2 switches, modded with kilmat, tape mod and holee modded the stabilizer, topped up with the lovely Osume Matcha keycaps.
I've noticed a significant improvement in Razer's keyboards especially since my first razer keyboard was the Cynosa Lite 💀💀💀💀💀💀 not even mechanical btw. Glad to see the customisability of this board and their attention to keyboard hobbyists. currently using a G.Skill KM250 (listen, I was tight on cash but it does feel pretty good)
Happy to see Razer stepping up their game and entering the market for custom mechanical keyboards. Currently I'm using the MW65Q
I am using a modded KEMOVE snowfox DK61. I replaced the switches with aqua kings and I really like it as my main board.
looks great im currently using the e yooso keyboard z88
Currently using BBox60 with GH60 pcb 😊
This Razer is such an upgrade! I honestly loved it right out of the box ❤️
Sheeeshers, both sounded so good!! Currently using a GMMK2 65% - no mods or anything on it! Wanting to try to mod it but am too scared that I will break something! Feels bad man since I saved up for quite some time for this keyboard and I don't really want to mess anything up haha.
I think that razer making a customisable keyboard will bring a lot more attention to the community which is definitely good. My keyboard is the TH66
Using the gk67 rn with all the typical mods and lubed switches
razer really listened and learned to all keyboard keeb fans out there and they came back with a banger with their first custom keyboard and with the mods you made to was so good it makes me want to build a keyboard so baddd, having that kind of keyboard would be a hugeeee upgrade from using Laptop Keyboard, hopefully i get a chance in this giveaway and finally taste a good sounding keeb of my own:D
sending love from the philippines
Razer is starting to get more into the custom keyboards, and i like it so far. Using an rk m75
I'm currently using a keychron k6 and this keyboard would be an amazing upgrade.
My current daily driver is an mw65 with JWK T1s spring swapped to 62g, akko stabs and Keyreative WoB Arabic keycaps
