I worked as a staff writer for an enthusiast PC hardware magazine in the 2000's. We had sophisticated benchmarks for easily quantifiable things such as RAM, hard disk, CPU performance etc, but when it came to peripherals, when we simply felt like two pieces of hardware were offering roughly the same performance, we were confident enough to say "no real world difference" or something similar, and give mice or keyboards etc the same performance score. We asked ourselves if it was possible to be more scientific, we usually concluded yes, but we didn't have enough time or expertise to build a fair testing rig, and that was for a large professional team working at a publishing house. This video especially makes me feel like back then we were letting our readers down a little and stifling the efforts of independent engineers. The fact you built a rig with a slow motion camera to test your initial hypothesis, is unbelievably good, in a world where it feels like UA-cam content is in a race to the bottom in terms of shortcuts and clickbait, you are raising the game. Well done. I'm sure your audience, and the hardware developers who put incredible efforts into their design, are all incredibly thankful for your efforts.
The main thing i like about wooting is the software. Everything saving to the keyboard itself, being able to use it in a browser if you dont want to download it. Its so refreshing. All the big companies forcing you to have their bloatware open 24/7 for features is really getting to me.
I agree, I'm still using a membrane razer keyboard, but honestly I've been looking to get a new keyboard not just for better switches, but to say goodbye to the awful software that can be finicky at times and is just 1 extra process added to the startup. I'm also using a Razer Lancehead TE which is great for the most part, but I underestimated how awful an ambidextrous mouse would feel in hand (at least the shape that they chose), the underside of the right click bothers my ring finger and both my ring and pinky finger drag on the mousepad from the way I hold the mouse.
@@thegiovannimauro I feel that pain. I'm currently stuck with razer software simply because I've never found another MMO mouse that's as comfortable as the Naga. I think some of the Razer hate is overblown. But not for the software. Yuck.

Ever since they released rapid trigger on my apex pro I’ve actually seen a significant improvement to my movement. Glad to have a feature on my existing keyboard without spending more money on a wooting ❤
1:44 "FN + T" is also a new default meta binding on the Apex Pro that toggles rapid trigger so as long as your keyboard firmware is up to date, you don't need to use the software to enable it
but the production quality of steelseries is low. Gone through 2 flagship keyboards now (apex pro tkl) and both had a huge amount of blue LEDs all die in under a year.
I would like to note that since this video has been released there was an update to the SteelSeries Apex PRO firmware which allows for customization of Rapid Trigger sensitivity.
@@ShredderXGaming Thanks for reply. I mean, binding dual activation to Alt (left); R Win (down); Fn (right); / ? (up). So, for example, if you press down 1mm Fn key would be right arrow key, but if you press down all the way it is Fn key
@@CzarChasm1.618 Arrow keys seem to available to make any of the omni point switches. So if you want to make the W key, for example, and arrow key, you may. However, the function key, aka steelseries key, does not appear to be mappable at all. Like Shredder said, the arrow keys do not have the omni point switches, so they are extremely limited in what they can do. They cannot experience dual binding, have their actuation changed, etc... The Omni point switches are all the main keys. So that excludes anything to the right of the main typing keys, aka, right of the enter key. So all your directional keys, number pad, etc... The F row is also regular switches, and not omni point. I hope this answered your question :D
Just got my Wooting Two HE (the full size one) and that thing slaps. The fact you can just load your settings in on-board memory and straight up plug it into any computer for the first time without any extra software installed whatsoever while retaining all the features (even the RGB profiles and animations) working out of the box is insane. Analogue movement is also neat.

Couple updates as someone who has the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL now: 1. The software actually does allow you to change the sensitivity of Rapid Trigger now 2. The issue of keys being spammed happened to me as well, had to decrease the sensitivity of Rapid Trigger to fix it

Hey Opt, my Apex Pro Mini also broke like that similar to yours but from changing the actuation to the fastest lmao. Once it broke I could not fix it... Ended up returning it and got the Wooting. From the research I did, this type of issue isn't as uncommon as you'd think.
@@saturnna467tbh idk how this technology hasn’t become a thing faster, like a regular keyboard doesn’t sync with your finger movements at all. It’s so delayed it’s crazy.
There's another Rapid Trigger keyboard that I don't think is particularly well known because its a newer company, its called the Drunkdeer A75, it uses magnetic switches just like the wooting and features a rapid trigger feature, but lacks the analog inputs of the wooting. Some older reviews of this keyboard are outdated because of how much the software for this keyboard has been developed; Old reviews claim that the keyboard does not have a true rapid trigger, which was true at the time, but the feature was since patched in. I would love to see you test this keyboard because there's not a lot of info out there on it, but I believe it to be an excellent option for anyone wanting a rapid trigger at a much lower price point than the wooting. Its also a 75% which is a preferred format for some people.
Good to see you mention the software that's part of the product. Couldn't mention how many pc hardware parts I've had that have been good but are severly let down by the lack of proper software that is actually worth a damn. After going through a handful of different keyboards I settled on the duckyone2mini specificly because it doesn't have any software to rely on because it's all built in.
I have the apex pro mini as well and the software is easy to use, the sonar feature is INSANELY nice and the aimtrainer is very good as well idk what problem he has 😮😮😮
@@Eiisfux The issue is, why does a keyboard/mouse software have an aim trainer? You're there to tweak settings, not to train. Also the unnecessary ad bombardment within the software, and the fact that it takes a whole gigabyte of ram to run.

I have the steelseries gg software and it doesn't bombard you with any ads and the aim trainer is there if you want to use it if not it doesn't get in the way , there are no problems as far as I can tell.
Nice video, keep up the great work Also the Drunkdeer A75 Keyboard has rapid trigger aswell. Could you please test that keyboard aswell? Really curious how it would stack up against wooting and steelseries
I recently picked up the only 75% Hall Effect keyboard I could find, the Drunk Deer A75. Would love to see you cover these same tests with that one if you could get your hands on one! Maybe after next month when I believe they're going down from .2mm sensitivity to .1mm sensitivity. At only $130, with about a 2 week ship time from china, they're a pretty good deal!
What is the point of having 0.1 mm other than saying that a keyboard is technically faster in benchmarks? I have mine site to 1 mm and I still occasionally have accidental presses. 0.1 mm is unusable for gaming in my opinion.
@@BeBarnee "in my opinion". I could say the same thing for the opposing side, I for one find the feature to be perfect in all games and it can even give you a buff in specific games (where you need to make many inputs as fast as possible).
@@BeBarnee i played for years on 0.4mm on apex tkl now 0.1 on wooting for most keys. I have to get used like to every gear and it gives a lot of advantage in csgo counterstrafing etc. U just dont feel u are using keeb to movement
@@sclapple3192 I totally understand the theoretical advantage, but it's too unreliable for me. If I set it too low, I can press A or D just by keeping my finger on the key. I'm happy to hear you can take advantage of it.
@@erisium6988 I've been playing CS on a relatively high level since 2001 so I can see what you mean. In my experience below 1 mm it's so sensitive, I sometimes mess up my ADAD because the weight of my finger accidentally triggers the key I didn't mean to press. I'm happy that you can really take advantage of this feature, maybe my fingers are not sensitive enough 😂
Lucky to have my Wooting right now, it is so hard to get especially in my country. I would like to see a review on Drunkdeer A75 as it has the same features as the Wooting but way more accessible.
I had the same issue with my Apex Pro Mini. I managed to fix it by changing the actuation point to above 1.8mm, after that the issue with spamming keys seemed to disappear (mind you that this was on the older firmware before rapid trigger). I still returned the keyboard though and now waiting on my Wooting to arrive hopefully this week.
I'd love to see you test out the Drunkdeer A75, another magnetic switch keyboard with rapid trigger that has been under a lot of people's radar for quite a while. It honestly has some of the nicer feeling stock switches I've tried on a keyboard with really good RGB implementation.
5:04 small update/info Steelseries also can now regulate the sensitivity. Ive just got a softwareupdate for my Steelseries TKL Pro with Rapid Trigger and this option exists now for Steelseries.
Your test set up was very impressive, much like your ITX build. Out of curiosity, what is your background? What were you doing before UA-cam? Engineering?
to enable rapid trigger, you can also press steelseries button + t or if you have the oled screen, hold the menu button and then scroll to actuation and enable it there
Great video! Although a slight correction: It's not a limitation of being optical that creates a deadzone at the bottom of the Razer switch, it's simply the switch itself and implementation of the optical technology. It's certainly possible for Razer to achieve better results with an optical switch in a version 2.0
My old SteelSeries keyboard (Apex Pro TKL I think?) would cause bluescreens with its sshid.sys driver that didn't seem to have updates available (and disabling the driver would disable the keyboard). Took me several Windows reformats and whatnot before I finally troubleshooted it with WinDbg Preview. This, plus the issue you had with the first keyboard, makes me believe that SteelSeries has some QC stuff to work on.
hey Optimum i just wanted to say you and your channel are quickly becoming one of my favorite tech channels on the website not too many other people go into such in depth about peripherals and their nuances much appreciated i ended up buying my mouse because of your review
you need to factory reset the keyboard via the screen the only thing that changes then is the acuration point and i’ve also had the problem that it was glitching but then i just powered my pc off with the power supply on/off button and then factory reseted it with the screen on it
I just have to mention that your content is the definition of high quality content. When ever I end up in a conversation about tech I mention your channel just because every aspect you bring to it is done with such care and effort. Really like to see it, even if I'm not interested in the topic of the video I end up watching it just for the Quality of it.
I am using steelseries GG for years now and had 0 and i mean ZERO issues with it and its taking just 174 MB of RAM at any time, are you sure your system is not the problem? and not the GG software? also i love having all the commercials and stuff inside GG, if you don't use it then just don't comment bad stuff cuz some people use it and like it !!! Sonar is probably the best sound feature free for use out there ! and considering i have my Apex pro for so long time and i am getting better and better keyboard with every single update its amazing that they change it for free, its like buying new keyboard all over again, but for free!
I've got the Apex Pro 100% version and as long as you update the firmware once with the new update, you can set the rapid trigger function/actuation points using the OLED screen on it without having to use the software or having it open in the background
The amount of class from these videos is insane. You go out of your way to explain everything you did and present the details for them in easy to read graphs. Because of you, I didn't buy a certain mouse upgrade because of the wireless polling issues. I'm using a Logitech superlight, but it's got a slight amount of drift that I notice with my aiming, and I've been considering a change. Coming here first is now mandatory when it comes to a peripheral upgrade.
@@rustler08 Sorry, drift is probably the wrong word. The movement isn't 1:1? Like, sometimes I flick or move my mouse fast enough, and it doesn't go the intended distance, and then sometimes it overshoots the intended target. I play osu when I'm having a bad day and you really start to notice the polling issues. Optimum made a video regarding wireless mice a while ago and explains the polling issues in there, that's what the mouse is currently doing.
I immediatley tried it out because it sounds super interesting and instantly felt the difference, but I noticed a weird bug in the GG software (which is a bug in itself) where if you select the E key it mistakes it for the R key and vice versa. So if you select the E-Key and want it to have rapid fire, it will instead turn it on on the R-Key. Thought this might be helpful to some.
This might sound as a silly or stupid question. But i know that remapping is possible in the software. Is there a way to use rapid trigger on the sidebuttons of my mouse or even m1/m2??
Thank you so much!! I have a apex pro tkl and was able to update the software to get it!! Was looking at the Wooting to upgrade but now I don’t have to! Again without your vids I would have never known. So thank you again for the great videos
From my experience, I tested the Razer (*Analog) a week ago and the Rapidtrigger function seemed exactly as promised 0.1 mm. Could be that they have optimized it or I'm just wrong.
This is the first thig I noticed while was gaming on a mechanical keyboard. The travel distance is too long from bottom to the actuation point. This was especially noticed in moments where you should burst some key as fast as you can. (Like putting money in a bag during robbery in GTA Online) I solved this by putting o-rings on keycups. I don't understand why they don't box those o-rings as an optional accessory with keyboards on linear switches. But yeah, having that programmable distances is really cool feature if you have money for that.
You might considering trying that broken Steelseries keyboard with a shorter usb cable. I once used my Wooting board with a cable that was too long and it started spamming keys while not pressing anything. I had also accidentally turned on rapid trigger with a mode with Rgb on and the actuation was at the most sensitive, which may have contributed. I changed to the stock wooting cable and it stopped spamming long enough edit my base profile. But this may be different.
Good comparison! Thanks for the highlighting the steelseries gg bloatware issue. It also installs audio drivers for sonar and even you uninstall them it just reinstalls them after every update which is very annoying.
I've just unsubbed from almost every other clickbait and drama ridden tech channel at this point, all I need is Optimum. Can't wait for your take on the superlight 2.
@@Clumrat I asked again in the reddit forum and they said no plans yet but they've talked about it but it will take a long time as it took them years just to get the 60he ready apparently and they "dont want it to become obsolete" which is bs imo as lots of people will still prefer that layout but many of us need the 75% layout as a minimum.
I know it sounds insane, but what about having two keyboards? One for gaming and one for everything else? Nearly all keyboards have detachable cable and since usb c is the standard it is a non issue to have multiple in use.
Hey, thank you for the video. I need help. I got the apex pro mini wired last week and I didn't use it until Thursday and for the first 15 minutes it felt amazing. But the next day I came home from school and hopped on fortnite and my keyboard wasn't working, so I went to type in the in game chat and my keyboard was spamming random letters and symbols and after I downloaded the software the keyboard was still bugging. They said to raise the actuations of the left Ctrl and shift and after I did that my left shift doesn't work anymore. I'm going to send it back for a replacement and if it happens again I don't know what to do.
Love the videos, appreciate the work u put into them. Corsair released the k70 max with a similiar feature set as the wooting. Would be cool to see a comparison of that aswell
I own the Wooting 2HE and the Apex Pro & Apex pro mini. Yes the software is noticeably different but the functions are the same. For $125 the Apex Pro mini is impressive
I’m leaning towards the apex pro TKL 2023 as I prefer TKL and lighter 45g switches. Also the stock case of the wooting doesn’t allow me to use my wrist rest the way I like
Hi! Would you test if DrunkDeer A75's implementation of rapid trigger is really good? Cause I haven't really see an in-depth video of it. But most of the reviews they said it is really good, especially with its price. Great video as always! I'm always waiting for your new uploads, every video is really interesting.
Reason why the arrow keys doesn't work for your tappable arrow keys on the steelseries gg is cuz only the alphaneumeric keys are hal effect, the rest are gateron i believe.
Hi there, I have recently bought this keyboard and noticed they have updated their software to include sensitivity options for rapid trigger on the steelseries. Any chance at a follow up? Great video
I've been using steelseries for over 2 years now, and have never faced it using more than 1 gig of ram. It may have been a bug, or it may have been caused by something looping when programming the keyboard possibly? It could also be due to the new features of the rapid trigger. Testing video ayo? The first page is to see what items are on sale or if they have deals going on, and to get free things for games sometimes. The aim trainer I don't use, I just aimlabs instead, however you download their aim trainer through steam or right in the steelseries software. The reason the keys would've bugged out in the end is because it was programmed to have the rapid trigger probably causing a weird looping bug on the keyboard. Best way I would guess to fix that is just creating a new configuration profile, which would reset the programming on the keyboard to whatever you change it to. Idk if this helps, but maybe worth looking into?
Does the SteelSeries software have to run in the background, or do you only need it to save settings? And are they saved to the kb? This is pretty tempting. Love that there's a TKL available as well (even though the price gap is a little silly). I think the software is the only thing making me hesitate.
@caligaming9386 No, it does not have to run in the background and also the keyboard has a built-in memory, so anything you save or all the settings that you save from the software. They get saved straight to the keyboard, so even if you delete the software or take your keyboard to your friend's house to play, you can just plug it in and it'll load all your macros and all your RGB and rapid trigger settings
Man how do you even count such small timings? Software? Manually counting the frames in the camera? Your production impresses me more and more each video.
I bought the keyboard about a month ago and I absolutely love it. Of course, Wooting would have been an option too, but I just wanted to try something new. Love your videos! 💪
Bro, I like you so much. You do great videos! I came back to the "Ryzen 5000 Undervolting with PBO2" video you did so many times, it helped out so many of my friends! Stay strong!
Can we just give a round of applause for Wooting? They are essentially a small brick and mortar business competing against the biggest brands in the space and a year later they are still mopping the floor with them.
Great video ! i was waiting for someone to review this and compare it to wooting, having the Apex mini pro wireless keyboard i am very happy with the perfromance. can you share your settings for Apex legends ? i was wondering what is the best configuration and if enabling rapid trigger just for WASD

I’m very happy with my Wooting 60HE since I got it in the first updated run. It detects as a keyboard and controller in some titles so I get titles so I get better driving handling in title’s while also getting better fps control in the same title and others. Wooting did an amazing job with the 60HE and this is my second Wooting product and happy with both keyboards 🥰😇💪👍
off topic here since i’ve seen a few of your mouse videos. i started to use a fingertip grip and i feel like it’s way easier to aim and i was wondering if the fact that my fingertips are closer to the sensor, could be the reason why i feel more precise with less effort. do you think you could test this, by 3d printing a mouse that place the sensor at the same level as the first fingertip?
I will say that the Sonar and Moments features in steelseries’ software are actually fantastic if you wanted to dabble into EQing your sound (sonar) and having a more intuitive clipping software (moments)
Thanks for the comparison to the Wooting, Ive got one on order and currently use Apex Pro (older model) TKL and got the update, though buggy... Excited for my Wooting 60HE to arrive!
If you don't want to use the SteelSeries software you can just remove it or disable the software from starting up from Windows (Task Manager) after you have setup and saved the settings. The settings are saved inside the keyboard and you don't need the software anymore. Works fine for me.
good review, the only thing I didn't like is that you say that the worst thing that steelseries has is the software, a little xd, besides that if you configure the software well, you can remove the aim trainer and many other things, making it only I spent 80MB of ram in total, on the other hand you don't mention the actuation force, in the wooting if I'm not mistaken the actuation force is 60g while in the apex pro mini, it is much lower. I feel like your wooting fanaticism is very clear, because there are certain things you don't mention about razer or steelseries that are certainly better than some wooting things. I always recommend and will always recommend the Apex Pro Mini. I have had it since it came out and I thought it was incredible, I have never had any failures and also after the software update, I can say that it is one of the best (if not the best) keyboard at the moment.
The Steelseries is amazing. Gaming and coding feels great. But had it for 1.5 months and now it is unusable. 6 different keys are constantly getting spammed, it seems to be pretty common since an update from 4 months ago and there seems to be no fix. Until they fixed that, do not buy it!

I swear to god I will be upset if Corsair didn't eliminate their multiple input syndrome that always develops on their keys with this new one... guess I'm gonna find out this month. It's pretty much the biggest reason I'm afraid to buy from them again
Had a wooting 60HE but as soon as I saw steelseries had a tkl keyboard that’s wireless AND with rapid trigger I jumped on it because I was just tolerating life with a 60%. Wooting is definitely superior in terms of pure keyboard performance, I seem to have a lot more accidental presses with the steelseries but having the extra keys is enough for me to move on from it 😢 rip
That's what is holding me back from getting a Wooting. I don't like full size keyboards and 60% is too small. I would have instantly ordered a Wooting TKL if they had it.
Just got my wooting the other day and if anyone is on the fence; I ended up pre-ordering the 80he but decided I couldn't wait long enough (was using a cheap keyboard as previous gaming keyboard broke) so decided to also pick up the 60he and was worried I had spent way too much to buy both. Now that I have it on my desk, I have 0 regrets spending £500+ on 2 keyboards (60he was around £170 including shipping, 80he was £350 including shipping due to upgrades). I never realised just how much input lag my previous keyboards had until I started using this. The rapid trigger is awesome and has definitely helped me learn how to jiggle peak as well as general movements in games. It's also the best keyboard for gamers looking to get into custom keyboards too in my opinion due to the fact you can change out the case, modify it relatively easily and there's a few options for switches if you wanted to test them out as it's hot-swappable. Compared to gaming keyboards, it's not only incredible for it's price but it feels incredible to type on without even modifying it (ofc custom keyboards will probably blow this thing out of the water but we're talking gaming keebs). It's like upgrading from a fisherprice toy piano to a grand piano from Bruce Waynes mansion 😂 I never want to stop typing! (as you can see lmao) it sounds beautiful too

but the production quality of steelseries is low. Gone through 2 flagship keyboards now (apex pro tkl) and both had a huge amount of blue LEDs all die in under a year.
We need that cat that also increases the production quality
The ends get more and more abrupt though...

I would like to note that since this video has been released there was an update to the SteelSeries Apex PRO firmware which allows for customization of Rapid Trigger sensitivity.
Good info. Do you know whether tappable arrow keys are now possible too?
@@CzarChasm1.618 unfortunately, the arrow keys do NOT use magnetic switches so I'm doubtful if they'll ever make it to the rapid trigger list.
Still waiting on mine but I know its going to be worth it
are you able to adjust the brightness on that keyboard, because I noticed it only had volume media keys?
The lack of crappy software is worth paying for. Hopefully companies catch on.
I have a Wooting 60HE, it's AWESOME, far better than the Steel Series I agree.
@@Mangotundetheres almost never a dedicated brightness button on any kb its usually just an assortment of keys depending on keyboard which yes you can lower it/turn it off etc

Couple updates as someone who has the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL now:
1. The software actually does allow you to change the sensitivity of Rapid Trigger now
2. The issue of keys being spammed happened to me as well, had to decrease the sensitivity of Rapid Trigger to fix it
I have it too I just got my keyboard 10 minutes ago and I disabled rapid trigger and did everything still same things happens I’m not using apex pro usb that’s comes with it tho I hopes it’s not cuz of that’s cuz the first 10 minutes worked😊

@@CzarChasm1.618 I believe Steelseries actually uses different switches for the arrow, and function buttons, at least in their apex pro tkl. So its probably not possible with just a software update

Hey Opt, my Apex Pro Mini also broke like that similar to yours but from changing the actuation to the fastest lmao. Once it broke I could not fix it... Ended up returning it and got the Wooting. From the research I did, this type of issue isn't as uncommon as you'd think.
Same!!! I just got my Wooting yesterday, and low actuation is not an issue. I love it so far
Got my wooting a couple months back just to try it, my mind was thinking it was just gimmicky. Was very wrong.
@@saturnna467tbh idk how this technology hasn’t become a thing faster, like a regular keyboard doesn’t sync with your finger movements at all. It’s so delayed it’s crazy.
That sucks. Waiting for my Apex Pro Mini to ship. Hoping it works cause it's a little hard to justify $205 for the Wooting for me rn.
its only $174.99@@JCerris
Aim adapt made an excellent review out of it
Seconded. The 60% form factor is a deal-breaker for me. I've read Wooting might be revealing a 75% keyboard later this year though.

Love how straight to the point your videos are now. Even got rid of the intro to make it instantaneous
@@triliner254 idk what everyone is talking about steelseries gg doesnt use a gb of ram on my setup, and at least for me the Aimtrainer is a nice feature + it isnt really integrated the aimtrainer needs to be dowloaded extra i believe so it doesnt even use up storage if you dont want it
I have the steelseries gg software and it doesn't bombard you with any ads and the aim trainer is there if you want to use it if not it doesn't get in the way , there are no problems as far as I can tell.

Nice video, keep up the great work
Also the Drunkdeer A75 Keyboard has rapid trigger aswell.
I still returned the keyboard though and now waiting on my Wooting to arrive hopefully this week.
the effort you put into your vids is unmatched, i was waiting for a video like this and I'm glad you made it
I legitimately love the effort you put into your videos, you even got some robot to more accurately test the latency, I love it.
We just need a Wooting TKL version and it will be perfect as well for other tasks like programming, and having dedicated F keys is nice too.
@unholydonutsI guess that's why they went with 60% *first*, but branching out to other form factors would be a very, very nice addition.
you need to factory reset the keyboard via the screen the only thing that changes then is the acuration point and i’ve also had the problem that it was glitching but then i just powered my pc off with the power supply on/off button and then factory reseted it with the screen on it

I agree.
I've got the Apex Pro 100% version and as long as you update the firmware once with the new update, you can set the rapid trigger function/actuation points using the OLED screen on it without having to use the software or having it open in the background
Wow, the test with the Arduino and the slo-mo camera is truly remarkable
The amount of class from these videos is insane. You go out of your way to explain everything you did and present the details for them in easy to read graphs. Because of you, I didn't buy a certain mouse upgrade because of the wireless polling issues. I'm using a Logitech superlight, but it's got a slight amount of drift that I notice with my aiming, and I've been considering a change. Coming here first is now mandatory when it comes to a peripheral upgrade.
Why would you not just warranty it? That's the entire point of a warranty...
Your videos are so aesthetically pleasing, I love it. Are your walls painted black with matching blinds? Or what am I looking at, it looks futuristic
I just got a apex pro tkl 2023 I updated its software enabled the rapid trigger and it broke the keyboard
yea they dont got good customer service thats why im gonna get a wooting
This might sound as a silly or stupid question. But i know that remapping is possible in the software. Is there a way to use rapid trigger on the sidebuttons of my mouse or even m1/m2??

But this may be different.
i like the way you did your thumbnail and title, i dont get why i looked at the title first before looking at your thumbnail tho.
Really wish wooting made a TKL
Good comparison! Thanks for the highlighting the steelseries gg bloatware issue. It also installs audio drivers for sonar and even you uninstall them it just reinstalls them after every update which is very annoying.

@@DelScully You can also get the full-size
I know it sounds insane, but what about having two keyboards? One for gaming and one for everything else? Nearly all keyboards have detachable cable and since usb c is the standard it is a non issue to have multiple in use.
I also had the same issue with the keyboard when enabling rapid trigger, i was allowed to get a replacement from retailers luckily

Babe wake up, new optimum tech video just dropped
Alsp bro whatd your blizz acc i want to 1v1 you on tracer
I'm curious about the same thing. Did you find the answer for this?
+1 curious about this as well!
Your production impresses me more and more each video.

off topic here since i’ve seen a few of your mouse videos. i started to use a fingertip grip and i feel like it’s way easier to aim and i was wondering if the fact that my fingertips are closer to the sensor, could be the reason why i feel more precise with less effort. do you think you could test this, by 3d printing a mouse that place the sensor at the same level as the first fingertip?
I will say that the Sonar and Moments features in steelseries’ software are actually fantastic if you wanted to dabble into EQing your sound (sonar) and having a more intuitive clipping software (moments)
I love moments, it's great.

The new corsair K70 now also has this feature. It would be cool if you could test this too and as always great video. Keep it up 👍
I swear to god I will be upset if Corsair didn't eliminate their multiple input syndrome that always develops on their keys with this new one... guess I'm gonna find out this month.
(as you can see lmao) it sounds beautiful too
Would love to see you test out the Drunk Deer a75 and it's "rapid trigger" equivalent compared to these other boards

I waited way longer than 2 weeks for the Wooting 60. It was WELL WORTH IT!
Great stuff seeing more brands incorporating this. I do wonder is the optical implementation just not made as best as it could be, doubt it's a limitation of the tech at all.
But yes, I'm excited more brands to pick this up, I want to see different models, really I wish to see hotswap offerings one day, that would be amazing.
wooting is hotswap no? Im not sure and even if it is I think the switches are specific for the wooting. But I think any megnetic switch would work (I have no clue tho).
@@02blunt85 only works with their own switch type, no other compatible switches. but really need more brands to offer same type of PCBs and different type of switches too so then it will be, as it becomes more universal.
So to summarize: Wooting is still the only valid option, because every other one makes you install malware.
That sucks.
No it's not. you can turn on rapid trigger with FN+T key, so your post is invalid :)
Can you review the drunkdeer keyboard. It's a 75% keyboard with rapid trigger. It uses magnetic switches like the wooting.
