but that's not really the purpose of gasket mount? Its original purpose was to isolate noise and vibration from the plate. It was a bi product for the board to have some flex/bounce. So I don't really see why people say gasket mounts that don't have a bounce are bad/defeats the point. It doesn't. Love the vid though and love the channel.
That's not really true - modding the keyboard is all about making it sound and feel good to you. So for some the stock keyboard might work well, while for others it won't and it's great that you can mod it. Still won't sound as good as other keyboards since there aren't custom plates and such to choose from, but just by switching the switches, keycaps, doing a tape mode, etc. you can get a decent sounding keyboard out of it.
you should build a full wish keyboard, no exceptions. It has to be completely from wish, the keycaps, stabilizers, switches, PCB, case, foam, plate, and lube. DO NOT FORGET, it has to be thocky by the way. (and there HAS to be a Artisan Keycap.)
It has backlit keycaps out of the box. It is not clear whether that was backlit after the "upgrade". Backlit keys are one of the most important things for me. Gr8 video though.

hope you have a good trip! there is a store at suntec city if you are keen to check it out. im not affiliated with them but they are the most publicly available keyboard shop there is
@@SquashyBoy For sure...will definitely visit that one and there's others I just found out on the Web too. Thanks for taking the time to respond...wasn't expecting that ! lol. I know it sounds kinda stupid this complaint i'm going to do, but i think the AmouryCrate could be a bit more intuite to use, especially when it comes about the upload of images on the OLED. They don't give lots of instructions about the fitting dimensions, so there are lots of gifs and images that the screen will clip and you'll only see a small part of it.
woah ok for a second I though you had the same glasses as me (and now something keyboard related) : Any experience with Wugue studio pre lubed switches? Are they worth it?
I thought the purpose of gasket mount was to isolate the pcb/plate assembly from the case to lower vibration and noise. Flex and bounce can be desirable secondary effects, but they aren't always the primary intention. That said, though, stacking foam underneath and completely removing any softness in the typing feel means you're probably better off just doing a tray burger mount or something similar. That would reduce the cost by not having to design and then manufacture a gasket mount, only to then mount it on foam, essentially making a Frankenstein stack/gasket mount. Asus really screwed up the mounting just for the marketing buzzword of gaskets, and rushed it through production so they didn't have to spend time on design and testing for good acoustics. You're absolutely right about the gasket- it is quite an awful implementation, but it just wasn't the best way of saying it.
its realy cool keycap. But i dont find it. Your link has 68 cool key or 100% key with japan lenguage. Please give me link for buy keycap on this video. I have asus azoth and iwant take this keycap
I have this keyboard. I love it. I have Gateron Milky Yellow Pro switches and some YMDK keycaps. I love it. The OLED display shows my CPU and GPU temps. I don't use the RGB. its a great keyboard though.
Hello I tried the snap remove multiple times and it didn't work the soldered switches always stays inside, can you make a tutorial video on how to do it? Thanks!
any recommendations? I'm thinking of getting either the azoth or the wooting 60 (and be prepared to wait). happy for other suggestions I'll most likely upgrade my board over time it will mostly be used for gaming, music production and university work / essay writing. ty
Wooting for full on try hard gamer, Azoth for customization, so basically it’s just a theme thing, like do you want minimal or futuristic, if you like future then take the azoth, minimal then take the wooting
The wooting is really only wanted if you will actually use the activation/reset point adjustments. Wooting needs to bring out a 75% or tkl version and I'd be on it in a second
New video idea: Walk to China to get keycaps.

yes, walking only
Only problem is that he is slow

good to see a company like asus make their products compatible with after market products

@@SquashyBoy it's all good. Still loved it.
I was thinking the same thing
@@AT-vj2mz really you've got to be kidding.
@@AT-vj2mz its to isolate the plate to the stiff plastic/aluminum case. foam doesnt transmit vibrations so it doesnt matter
Asus, that keyboard was the bomb. I would buy that thing right now.

I have one and it sounds perfectly fine. No need to mod whatsoever but to each his own.

imho, gasket is nice but sometimes it just feels squeeze, maybe i'm gonna fill the gap so it will damp the sound more
Where did you get your stabilizers from if you dont mind me asking?
Guys i just bought the james donkey a3 what do you guys think about it
I’m new to keyboards, what’s the point in buying an expensive keyboard then changing all the parts can’t you do that with a cheap keyboard?
Which desk mat are you using ?
Would love to order an Asus Azoth, (already upgraded). Where can I do that?
remember on the stream where u leak the intro for the vid and i stated spamming apex and osu
You should test CoolerMaster CK720
Bruh squashys friend just ran a- the asus consultant just ran away
If I was going to build a costum keyboard, what switches would you recommend me?
gateron milky yellows pro
@@SquashyBoy I love milky switches those sound so creamy like legos 😫😩🤤
Q1 Pro, or this? Can't decide
Bruh why did they use a ribbon cable? At least it’s a thick one that is less likely to break.
is it an asus keyborad anymore if you replaced about everything
Ayo, make full video of Bad Apple on keyboard
Now replace gaskets with springs. Ok I just watched Keybored before that one
what are those poron gasket replacements?
D65 from kbdfans maybe.
any recommendations?
