Switch packs are $25 for a pack of 36
haha thats wild
@budgetking2591 that's middle of the pack of for switches
$75 for the entire keyboard (before tax)
@@lg_og yeah, that's normal to pay for a custom keyboard. That's middle of the pack as it's more than things like creams and less expensive than gateron inks or zeals
lol thats 7 cents a switch, for some mid
You are killing it man. Nice work on all of these reviews. Wondering if a wireless version is coming soon :)
Wow, Razer just made a 5 pin, hot-swapped, 75% keyboard!? And tape mod with gasket mount? This is crazy!
👏 👏 👏! Love your excitement it this one! Great review Techne! Glad Razer is understanding the custom keyboard market, and listening to consumers.
(Did I post a good enough comment for some of the Razer money?) lol
All jokes aside awesome job! Thanks for taking the time to inform us!
@TheTechne 100% think Razer better send you a check! Cause you nailed it on this review, and my purchase occurred because of it. Cha! Ching!
Bro what a great time for this to come out. I was getting tired of my old keyboard, and this was an instant buy for me.
How do you like it so far? I have the rog Azoth but refuse to use armory crate and am looking for a good alternative.
@@eckz8659 the keyboard itself is amazing I loved it. But I had to return 3 different keyboards cuz they all started double typing within weeks lmao. It was actually so sad. Waiting for more batches to get updated before I make another purchase.
Fantastic review, I went ahead and ordered the 75% after this, thank you again for helping me with my purchasing decisions. I have been looking for a custom keyboard for a while and would have had no idea about this keyboard if it wasn't for your review.
Just one quick question, how come you opt for the wired version of the DA and not the wireless? Has the wireless one been having some issues?
I pulled the trigger and purchased and this is a good board IMHO. I've dabbled with custom Glorious GMMK Pro, and to have a hot swap board all ready, from a box store mainstream company is nice. I put in some Glorious Lynx lubed switches that I had tried on the GMMK Pro and wasn't a fan of, but on the Razer board, wow! They feel and sounds great. My space bar is smooth and quiet as I use one custom lubed switch which I can't remember the name of but has a stem that is pink and round instead of square box. Space bar is buttery smooth and quite. I find the stabs to be just fine, and don't see the need to replace at least for now. Typing on this feels really good, and since I type all day every day, that's important as the gaming aspect of the board. @TheTechne it was your review that came out first, since I get the little video alert in Edge. Which is nice by the way! I don't have to go hunting when you release a new video. I know there are more expensive, fancy boards. But Razer really paid attention. This board is now my main. There is something about buying a product whether it's a car, or anything else, and it just works, and gives you positive brain chemicals when using it. This board does that for me. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it. Keep up the good work!!!!
Wtf that sound text 🤤 they did something amazing with this one ❤
Enjoy watching your stuff keep up the good work and positive attitude!
Boom, next purchase for me. Gotta be the best layout keyboard for sure and it sounds amazing. Also hotspot 🤤
Great review, i love tactile switches
First, Asus and now Razer. They really cleaned up the acoustics of the boards. Bravo
The floating keycap design has near-zero affect on the sound here. What is actually happening is the V4s plate is no longer part of the case, not only is it no longer pingy aluminum but now FR4 which is firm but not metallic, the entire plate/pcb layer is gasket mounted using foam strips inside the case, so there is no hard contact at all, allowing all of the vibrations to terminate into the soft foam, rather than reverberating through the thin aluminum top case and further into the plastic shell like the V3. In addition, the switches are vastly improved and well lubed, and they even put a tape mod on the back of the PCB to accentuate the POP of the switches and keep the sound away from the plastic bottom case by bouncing it back up at you directly. It also has plate foam, bottom case foam, and better pre-lubed stabilizers.
Whoever designed this absolutely knew what they were doing. While there are better sounding pre-built boards for half the price (Cidoo V75, Monsgeek M1, Aula F87, etc)... there aren't any with a structural design like this with anywhere near an 8k polling rate, and especially not ones available in big-box stores. I would recommend many other boards over this, BUT nonetheless this is incredibly commendable work from Razer, a huge step forward, and very promising for the future of mainstream keyboards. If they come out with an analog/rapid-trigger hall effect version, I will be buying one even at a high cost. That feature-set with a high poling rate is unbeatable for gaming, and currently the only boards that offer it (wooting + old razer analog + K70 MAX) are nowhere near this well designed in terms of sound and typing feel.
Very nice review sir. This is the best keyboard ive ever seen so far.
This keyboard seriously is the best of both worlds! The switches are near drop holy pandas out of the box in this setup! Love the vids techne!
Exactly. A nice tactical key is underrated and valuable for business and productivity peeps

exactly why i bought them so clean and sound amazing
I picked up the Asus Rog Azoth a few months ago while it was on sale. Have you reviewed that one? Armory crate sucks though lol
0:24 Love the reference of the huntsman mini back they released back in 2020 with the nameplates 😂
nice review as always Techne
Glad 75% is getting more popular I still prefer the even more compact of keyboards like the epomaker ep84 having all those keys together like that is so nice for typing + mmo players
I love the 75% because it lets me have a more compact keyboard without sacrificing critical functions of the keyboard (ironically meaning the function keys XD)
If it wasn’t for the 60% ditching the function keys, I’d go crazy for them. This is a good compromise imo.
great review I think I’ll get this instead of a corsair
I had a couple questions if anyone knows:
is there any way to press END and pause break? I use those alot in games mostly for mods or overlays
also will the keyboard be sold with the razer yellow switches inside? or will you always have to buy them separately?
You obviously haven't tried the Azoth yet... this looks great but as you can get the Asus Azoth for about the same price now I think it still wins. Great review, I would just encourage you to take a look at the Azoth as well... and yea it has PBT keycaps and the RGB looks great. Only issue is the software but IMHO the Razer isn't that much better. And I have multiple Razer, HyperX, Corsair, Logitech. Steelseriees and others, some of which I bought at your recommendation and love (thank you BTW). Just haven't been impressed with a keyboard as much as the Azoth since my old Northgate keyboards in the 90s...
damn it sounds better than i thought it would be
Techne i ordered mine in white cant wait to get it
Cant wait for the wireless model, currently using black widow mini v3 but i really want that extra row, mostly because i type a lot in Cyrillic and i have to use the FN key for some letters :/
I love your reviews , i hope razer will send you a check :))) .
Will my phantom keycaps i bought for my hantsman tenkeyless fit or i have to buy a new set of phantom keycaps set for this keyboard?
Dont get me wrong but i love the shelves you have behind you , can i find them in a known company or they are handmade? Thanks :)
Are they gonna make a hyperspeed version of the v4 75 to choose type c, 2.4 or Bluetooth for connecting?
Techne, bro, dude, man. This rules. This is on order right now.
I use the Razer BlackWidow v3 TKL and while I love this keyboard it cannot bring my Windows system out of sleep mode. But more importantly, it does not have onboard memory. Can you say if these have changed with v4 ? Thanks.
Ive heard a lot about a problem with double typing upon key actuation. This still an issue?
What’s a good headset for gaming fps games and stuff where sounds are important? I’ve got BlackShark V2 x i think but upgrading soon but was looking at epos H6 pro or hyper x cloud 3 as 2 doesn’t work on Xbox
I'm someone who is huge into custom keyboards. Objectively speaking, I think this is an awesome keyboard. Sounds great, and if it feels as good as others are saying that it feels, then it also feels great, and the build quality seems good as well. For $190, you could probably get an even better feeling and sounding custom keyboard (which is all subjective and preference btw). At $190, I still feel this is a great deal though, especially when you factor in ease of access (you can just walk into a store and pick one up day of), it is customizable like a custom, and if you're primarily a gamer, it comes with all the extra gaming stuff that a lot of gamers like. I like to think of keyboards as an investment into your work or gaming setup. Even if you don't go for as many keyboards as someone like myself, get something of good quality that will last and make you feel good using it. A good keyboard can last as long as you want it to last. Personally not a fan of Razer, but I'm so far a fan of this keyboard.
Originally purchased the v4 pro full keyboard with the M keys and hated the keyboard. I loved the led all around and magnet sticking for armrest but other than that horrible for me. Went to the 75 and so happy it’s worth the money amazing keyboard …
Still like a keyboard with a split spacebar, I find it hard accessing c,v,b row with my thumb.
Or those keys raised would be cool
Always the greatest reviews my man
Thanks man
Hey man can you do an eq recommendation for the boat immortal 1000d headphones
for gaming
can you do a review on the keyboard DrunkDeer A75 please
would this work with Mac? wan play wow again, also what mmo mouse would also maybe work
LETS GO!! To the bank! To deposit that check from Razer! 😂 Looks like another solid product from Razer. Sometime I feel like they have it figured out.. other times they release the Cobra.
🤣🤣
@@TheTechne RAZER ! put this man name on your spacebar already !
The 2 sides of razer
hey techne have u seen the acezone a spire headset? would love a techne review on them 😊
I dont like the way the wristrest fits on the blackwidow line. I have the huntsman v2 right now. I guess ill be waiting for the huntsman v3
I want the V4 pro, is that still a reliable option?
Do you like it better than a SteelSeries apex pro?
190 bucks ain't bad my real main question can I swap out these switches with whatever I want or do I need to use one of the razor brand switches?
I have a modded keychron, but man I want this
Need a direct comparison with the Asus Azroth video
Thats what im talkin about razer! 75% is my fave layout!
They really knocked this one out a of the park!
razer gonna do it for the huntsman line ?
Looks like an awesome keyboard, just one question, is the right shift a Razer special size or is just a normal size?
All 75% are non standard so its special size
@@AnDr3w066 ohhh i didnt know, thanks a lot for this information
@@Terran343 no problem GR. full size, 80%, 60 % are the standard keysizes (however some companies like corsair, etc change bottom row sizes)
Can the media buttons be remapped to home & end?
yes in razer synapse app
I just picked up the Razer Huntsman Analaog. Rapid trigger is game changing (even if it doesn't work as well on Razer's board compared to Wooting's). I wish it was a 75% keyboard like this one with arrow keys and the function key row, but oh well. I will never give up analog and rapid trigger after trying them.
how much was the check for
Bro i was going to get the v4 pro but now idk, anyone can recommend me one of them
I just saw the tweet and immediately went to ur channel.
Thank u so much for the support ❤
once this goes on sale im copping 100% almost 200 is steep for me
the full size sounds ok but the 75 is very crisp
I haven't watched techne in a few years and it caught me off guard with the tats and mustache/beard lol
Lol, more of both to come
Have you not heard about the ROG Azoth?
So whats the best gaming keyboard you ever reviewed
😂😂😂share picture of the cheque. Shocking and amazing
this kb is FIRE ill save a few bucks for 1-2 months to get it :)
Oh, how much did Razer pay you for this video?
1 millllllllion dollars (said in Dr evil voice)
@@TheTechnethats a small loan right there
@@Billy_The_Frog Still less than the 10% that went to the big guy
Why not linear keys by default, tactical is a odd choice. Maybe when they include them stock I'll consider.
Is it really odd? The majority of MK users are Tactile. We've had 5+ years of Yellow Razer switches so it's a nice change of pace to go with Tactile first.
i hope they make a low profile version of this
Yes! I need the deathstalker v2 pro in 75% instead of TKL.
@@wilazn that would actually be the perfect keyboard for me
this your new main ?
I'm buying one of these and putting Cherry Silver's in it.
I went to best buy and felt this keyboard. It was just 👌I’m watching this video to see if it is worth. Seems worth
You can get doubleshot pbt keycaps for $15
Got mine in white.. So excited to try it, then it came dead on arrival..I guess Razer did not improve in the QC department...
hotswappable? aint no way razer is allowing customisability???
All optical are hotswappable btw doesn't matter if they tell u
why did you imply that gasket mounts somehow cause a delay when you’re pressing a switch? that’s not how it works at all.
does the entire board cave in when you’re pressing down on a switch that hasn’t even bottomed out yet? no. most gasket mount boards barely even have visible flex, but the flex happens when you bottom out the switch, AFTER the key press has already been registered. it has zero affect on how quickly a key press is registered
Funny how big brands just running after the market atm. Keychron, Akko etc. have made this type and level (or better) of keyboards for years now for lower prices (and they have many wireless models too)...
I wish one day them can build rgb led into switch, rgb always is the first one to broke
Yo this keyboard is fire
i like they ended to make a fully customisable keyboard with hot-swap but the price ain't happening not gonna land 189$ usd on this thing unless they sell this barebone , i hate the orange switches, not a fan of thier double-shot abs, and Honesly still love my iqunix A80 i bought 3 years ago. still rock solide even with COSTAR stabs! that most people hate. Otherwise. they gone at least in the right direction just not close enought to toss almost 200 usd on this unit. if they release a version without switches and keycaps with a good fair pricing i may consider it! well nice video !! +1
I have a Razer BlackWidow V3 mini and I don't recommend it, several keys double click and now I turn it off and the battery indicator led keeps turning on even though it's set to off. While typing this I had a problem with double clicking.
I owned and replaced my Blackwidow V3 Pro about 4 times and it still had double input issues after a few months of us. I’m definitely not recommending the Blackwidow V3 lineup.
should i get this or the apex pro tkl 2023? i mainly play fortnite
this one
FINALLY❤ RAZER MADE A 75% KEYBOARD ❤
- 75% layout
- Media play button
- Hotswapable Switch and Stabilizer (u also can use Screw-in Stabilizer)
- Foam
- tape mod
- gasket mouth
- 8000 Hz polling rate
- $190???
Heck YEAHHH
I made a custom keyboard custom keyboards are a lot more money to build lol and oh my god the razer one looks amazing and sounds amazing just like a custom honestly id love to test it out
Give me the huntsman with a new gen analog linear switch with this 75% layout and it's doneeee.
its not wireless right
it's a shame this keyboard has double typing issues. I was going to buy it, but all over the internet are complaints about the keyboard double typing not even a month after unboxing.
Razer, send this guy a check. Great video as always 😎
I do need a new motorcycle after my recent accident, it was totaled 😫
Did we forget about the wootin and how it’s just better lol
So what custom key caps will work on this keyboard?
Most decent keycaps sets include keys for 75%. Dont get cherry profile keycaps because its north facing leds
@@AnDr3w066 oh okay. Yeah I don’t know anything about keys. I might just stick with the razer phantom keys. For the led
@@spawnandbatman6975 check.. only the new keycaps from razer have the extra keys
Wtf lmao… just bought a v4 pro full sized keyboard on Tuesday. Being used to a 75 i find the full size a bit too big. Time to return to get this bad boy and a little money back!
did you put spacebar upside down?
yes, I talk about it in the video
And me now im paid to pay this crazy keyboard oh my lordddddd
Hey technee can you make a best ps5 headset video for 2023🎉
The best part of this video is the first 16 seconds.
I just got my deathstalker v2 pro xd but i bought it because the switches and wireless :3
I swear I predicted the future 💀 but that shi is clean
Overall I like the K70 MAX a bit more because Hall effect w rapidfire (you saw my comment, thanks for asking what I liked so much about it!) and PBT keycaps. My most used keys get worn out so quickly so I probably need to place grip tape, but 4 things this keyboard did so much better is the 75% layout, modding, build and HOTSWAP.
You can just get pbt keycaps for it after the fact. Which is what i plan to do.
you were right, I just picked it up and it feels great!
So I'm a keyboard enthusiast that doesn't bias towards one side or the other between custom keyboards or name brand gaming company keyboards. I will say that this does seem like the absolute best keyboard you can get right now from a big name brand gaming company. That being said, I do still think that for the price you can build a custom that looks and sounds a bit better and doesn't require the Synapse bloatware. E.g. the Tiger80 Lite is only $129 and all you need is switches and keycaps. Sure it requires assembly but you have more color options to customize to your liking. If that wasn't an option, then at this price point I'd still take the Wooting 60HE over this because of the features it packs. Now if Razer releases analog or hall effect switches that are compatible with this board, that would be something to see for sure.
i bought a great custom keyboard for only 34 euro on aliexpress, rubber gasket, lots of foam, i dont believe anything beats this for the price, bought some pre lubed silent tactile switches for 20 euro, xvx profile ptb keycaps set for 20 euro, so this thing costed me 74 euro total, wich is crazy.
@@budgetking2591 Now that's impressive. I'm curious to see what you built haha.
tiger 80 lite is abs plastic. cant compare metal to plastic keyboard. whole different class
@@lx6381True, good point. I agree that this is Razer's best keyboard yet though, and probably the best keyboard from a gaming company in my opinion.
@@shermann8954wooting 60he ls still a better option
I’m just waiting for a wireless version equivalent of the Huntsman V2 tkl, is this something we could expect later on from Razer? thanks Techne!
It's crazy for me logitech has my favorite mouse but I think razer has my favorite keyboard.. the g600 destroys the naga. And I've been using it for near damn 3 years and its like new. I love that mouse. But logitech keyboards?? I don't know which to choose.
All this needs is linear switches included and a wireless hyperspeed dongle and it would have sold me.
I'm waiting for the white version
There will be a white version incoming , prob for 10$ more
just tried this keyboard ... and returning it. So just to give context i have a couple of customs, plus a wooting he60 that is modded with alum case and all the other usual mods for this keyboard. But i really wanted to try out the V4 75%.
A big issue for me was ... It's super lightweight and feels plastic. It's a pity but i just couldn't get used to it, coming from heavier keebs. The sound again, is very plastic and although I understand this is a big step up from Razer, for around 200 euros, I was expecting something else.
For those with customs that are thinking if this is a good buy, i can tell you that you will have an hard time adapting to the sound and the plastic/light feel of this keeb.
I think you bought the wrong model. This kb weighs close to 1kg 💀😂
@@augustomantero8266 right... i bought the wrong one ... or maybe not. maybe im too used to customs where the case itself weights around 1kg if full alum ...
@@PedroSombreireiro v4 75% is made of aluminum with bottom in plastic to help acoustics. Literally every review I’ve seen said that it sounds amazing straight out of the box. Now I haven’t tried it but to say it sounds cheap and bad after so many reviews said the exact opposite sounds like either you bought the wrong model or you’re down right shitting on this one in order to make you feel better about buying the wooting. I main the wooting as it’s the pinnacle of gaming performance but it does not sound as good as this new razer model (at least from vids razer does sound better)
@@augustomantero8266 yeah I also main the wooting with aluminium case, to stabs, jade switches and FR4 plate. Changed the sound and feel of the keeb completely.
Now the Razer kind of reminds me a ducky. For a gaming keyboard ready to buy yeah it’s nice though… but…
@@PedroSombreireirobought the razer yesterday and it should arrive today or tomorrow. I’ll give you an update on how it is
