FYI, there's a charge curve where the Tesla charges very fast at over 250 kwh when the battery is low, below 20%, then when the battery is above 50% it slows down to well under 150 kWh due to heat built up. It's a safety feature to protect the battery from damage. So generally it may take 15 minutes to add the first 150+ miles, but the next 150 miles can take up to 30 minutes more.

  • @ericsasmr
    @ericsasmr Місяць тому +16

Congrats on your new car, some tips for you:
    1. The car said to keep charging because your charge limit was set to 100. If you put in your destination it will automatically route to chargers and display the correct charging time.
    2. There’s an option in settings to make the car do how ever much over or under the speed limit you want.
    3. The only Tesla with Steer By Wire is the Cybertruck.
    4. I know you don’t like setting the limit to 80 but it really helps keep the battery in good shape.

I’ve done testing in the jeep and it ACTUALLY drives 260 miles on a full tank. The Tesla would have had to charge at least 4-6 times to go the same distance and all I was doing was driving around in circles around town.

Great deal on the Plaid Randy! We have a 2023 Model X Plaid with the yoke and absolutely love it. Hands-free FSD will come with the latest update, just be sure to have the car connected to WiFi so it'll update. No, only the CyberTruck is completely drive-by-wire. Your Teslas have a mechanical shaft connecting the steering wheel to the front wheels. And, remember that if you put a destination into the nav, the car will take care of all the charging stops and they're usually quick 8-12 minute stops just to get you to the next SuperCharger. No need to sit there longer than that. Looking forward to more videos with this one.

You got an amazing deal on the S (with FSD). It's crazy how much they depreciated since it's just a few years old with low miles. I'm starting to see Lucid Airs, Rivian R1T's, Audi e-tron GT's, Porsche Taycans, and Mercedes-Benz EQS's around the $60k range when they are easily over $100k when brand new. The EV market is crazy.

When the cluster flashes white during self driving. Wiggle the steering wheel. Just slightly until it goes away. If you wait until til the white flash turns red you got a short couple seconds before it will make you take ahold the wheel and cancel self driving until you park. If you allow that fail 3 times (aka strikes) you lose self driving privileges for one week. If you go a week without a strike, it will fall off. Update the car and hopefully you have the 12.5.1 FSD update which will avoid the nags and rely more on the cabin camera where as long as your eyes are facing forward 90% of the time every 5 seconds. It won’t nag you (white flash). If you’re recording or holding your phone etc it will nag you.

It's a nice car with some really cool features. The self-driving is pretty amazing,
but I don't understand the fascination with it. It's just a very expensive novelty item.
The previous owner didn't give them the keys ? But yet it's clean and has been waxed ?
I guess they could have just taken good care of it, but I'm calling bullshit on the dealer.
It's not like they have a stellar record...

Hi guys, you guys are actually in Kansas City, Missouri. Tesla is actually located on State Line Rd., dividing Kansas and Missouri, Tesla is in Missouri but if you go to the other side of the road you will be in Kansas, fun stuff here in Missouri. Now get on State line Rd. and head South past 103rd St and on your right you can get some of Kansas City's finest BBQ at Gates and Sons, if you are on a budget get a beef on bun comes with fries or if you are really hungry then get a combo and a half, doesn't come with anything but pickles so get fries and beans if you like beans, not the best in Kansas city but still very good. With full self driving you can relax and digest your food all the way home. Thanks for coming to town.

So you have it for around 1 month, so I want to give some advice about software and fsd. Recently Tesla started to roll a new software update so you can check if you have updated, you can go and check what the fsd version is now on your car (newest version is 12.5.4. or 12.5.4.1) and then you can go to the autopilot menu in the settings and select fsd there. On the video there was an old version with no actually smart summon and vision based attention monitor.

I had a 2023 model 3 performance with white interior and I have a dog. It was no problem whatsoever keeping it clean and I loved it. Also this video shows that even bozos are buying EVs

Fyi Randy you can have them change the steerwheel to a regular wheel!

They’ve had too many accidents with people letting the car drive itself so the law says now you have to keep your hands on the wheel, even if it’s a car driven to me accident for Texas

Plaids are averaging $55k - 60k all day in Autotrader with avg of 25k miles and clean title but no FSD so that’s a great deal

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but the wheels you see on the 19inch are just hubcaps. They pull off and there are very nice looking wheels under them. I had mine removed before I drove off the Tesla lot.

I wish we could have these in Australia, the last model S sold here was the 2020 model. I'd love a model S with door bins.

Haven't seen a new Model 3?! Wow, that's wild. I probably see 25-50 new ones a day here in Vancouver. I can count literally dozens of 3s / Ys in a 15 minute drive - they're absolutely everywhere. Very popular cars here.
