I had a 84 Scottsdale pickup I regret selling. I love this build. I may have to venture a future build like this . To win something this nice would be a humbling experience.
Anyone else jealous of the size of this guy's garage? Also, there is no chance I would take the cash if I win. I'd fly in and have an epic road trip home, probably stopping at every off-road opportunity I could find. My work would just have to wait.
My daily is a 1983 Burb K20 with the Detroit 6.2. It’s a blast and I’m in the process of turbocharging it with the components from a 6.5. It’s not a monster, but it is mine! This build though is the dream for me. Looking forward to seeing it go to someone!… I wouldn’t mind taking it home either!
I've got a 71 suburban on a 2nd gen cummins chassis with a 12 valve cummins & allison 2500, about to take the yank tank on a journey across North America in mid October! 🤘
Not dissing the Ford folks but Momma's been waiting patiently throughout the Ford giveaways for this baby! ❤️ It turned out Amazing!! Thanks Hodson for taking your time, energy, and funds to do these builds for us!
My Uncle has a 1986 GMC Sierra classic suburban with a Cummins swap and he's been driving that thing all around America for trips, it's his pride and joy and it'd be nice if I had one to drive with him.
We try to when we can but we had wind and rain the day we had to film. 👎🏼 We will be posting more photos and videos of it on Instagram though throughout the giveaway and you can go on our website to see some more photos as well.
These guys are inspiring me to get my shop put together. I've been so busy with work, and fixing up an old house....I really miss all the tinkering I used to do growing up.
Just closed my shop last year and miss it already.Sold the lifts & tools to get back into what I thought would be a financial opportunity bin commercial construction in AZ,well that went to sh*t.
I have a 1976 chevy suburban K20 with a dana 44 front and the big freefloat 14 bolt in the back. It's a California truck that had a couple small rust throughs but the rest is solid with some patina. I live on my SSI so I can't afford to restore it completely like I would like but I do love driving it to my DR. appts.I get a lot of thumbs up and nice truck comments. I sure wouldn't mind winning your's and selling this one.
Back in the 90's I worked with a heavy equipment mechanic who rebuilt a twin turbo'd 6-354 Perkins in his 1/2T 1975 chevy pickup. He could run 1/4 mile head to head with the boss running his blown 454 1957 chevy pickup...
This is AMAZING!! Why dont yall let my ticket get pulled, just had a 6th kid and this old devil dawg will get a lot of good use out of this beautiful rig!
Hi just found this video and its truly awesome that truck is my dream vehicle I'm 72 years young and love to take extended road trips like i said it's my dream vehicle right down to the color combination 👍 Take care stay safe and may God bless you always 🙋♂️🇬🇧
You guys do incredible work on these trucks. The Cummins diesel should be in all big US diesel pick-ups. Duramax is OK, but the Cummins is just better and easier to access for maintenance.
I have 1999 GMC SUBURBAN “ SONY EDITION “ with 84k original miles I bought to restore it because it’s really different from all other suburbans but then I became broke “ any buyers “ ? California Orange County. Run and drive amazing.
Wow bro this build is beautiful, would love to have it, shout out from Bloomington, Illinois. I just stumbled across your channel and I like what you’re doing, good video, with great details on the truck 💯
I definitely don't have more pedal travel with hydroboost. If you have more pedal travel with hydroboost it is the sizing of your brake master cylinder to wheel cylinders or it is how your power steering pump and hydroboost are setup.
I'm a certified inspector and we have emissions testing here in central Texas, but emissions testing isn't done on vehicles older than 25 years anywhere in Texas, so I don't know for sure, but I assume most places with emissions testing have some exceptions for older vehicles.
👌🏽 Wow. I've always wanted this exzact set up! I'm SO excited. If I win this truck the family is going overlanding. I got 4 kids 2yrs-10yrs and a dog. I like the jeeps but won't work for a CAMPING FAMILY! Every extra dollar I get is heading your way! Best of luck to everyone as that's excited as me. WELL BUILT AWSOME AWSOME AWSOME...!
Phenomenal Job 👍 everything turned out awesome 👌. Which transfer case is behind the 4L80E? After watching the videos several times over I didn't hear which one. Again awesome
I wish Wendy and I could have had that,l have a 91 3500 dually with a 24ft.KZ .she died in flagstaff 5 months ago,we loved az,454runs good for 233000miles without pulling
@@hodsonmotors Awesome. Would love to get my 88 Supercab 7.3 done up. I'm about to send it to body and paint. I never win anything, so the fastest way of getting something I want is to do it myself. But I would submit it to a contest just in case. I've got a walk around video of it on my channel. Check it out.
Love the video I want to build a Chevy crew cab with a Cummins diesel engine and Rockwell axles four wheel hydraulic steering what kind of transmissions should i use in the project and with is the best Cummins engine should I use thank you very much
If the winner chooses the cash option, please put me on the list for buying it. I'm curious how much does it cost to buy a truck like this restored/upgraded? Do you accept commission work? I have a family of 8, and we go camping between Arizona and Utah. The Toyota Sienna isn't getting us where we want to be.
As long as the truck was equipped as a 3/4 or 1 ton and/or came with a diesel engine from factory, swaps are legal as long as the engine is newer than the vehicle year it is going into. Since the 6.2 was a factory option, any 12v swap newer than the vehicle year would be legal. And no emissions testing is a huge bonus being pre-98👍
Wendy died 61622 would have been nice she would have been proud to have had this baby. I have a 91 3500 gmc xcab pulling my 24ft KZ ,454 needs help. I’m sure you can do something with it
That Suburban is ready for the next 30 years. Great build.

Yes we like the chevys better

Mentioning the better fuel efficiency with the ve pump is a pluss in an apocalypse scenario
Love the truck. Would like to see the walk around done outside, a little easier to see the lighting and scale of it, but still awesome video.

First video I'm watching from your channel, I have to say that Suburban is a work of art. Perfect Build- not obnoxious and still stands out.
I'm getting so pumped to watch the live stream. Come on DEC 15TH!!
Edit: looks like they moved it to Dec16th.
Love it! Maybe it'll be my turn! We are in to camping and state and national parks, would love to go on some trails in Big Bend to test her out.
That would be sweet!
I'd absolutely love this rig, I'm a tow truck driver right now doing roadside assistance and I drive an old subaru to work everyday
Good luck everyone! Truck is so rad!

This is my absolute dream vehicle!!I just bought some stuff!!
Been watching videos on redoing my 98 Burban and saw your channel.
Well thought out build.
The C/K20 came with the 9.5 14 bolt in the rear in 1986.

You guys did an awesome job! Spent time and money where it counted most. Amazing truck. Great video!
That is one of the nicest suburbans I've ever seen! Great job!
Entered. Love the build couldn't have done better myself haha... The color 👌
That is awesome!!! Had a 79 suburban in high-school!🥰😂
Wow i am from norway and live in norway and have a 1995 suburban i love this CAR . But the CAR you have build there is the ultimate dream CAR amazing.
I got a 1999 Suburban .I call it the TANK. LOVE IT

My very stock, super clean, zero rust, west coast 1986 suburban was destroyed in a fire a month ago.
Super bummed out.
That's a cool suburban Cummins diesel sounds perfect
That's a forever truck right there.
I wish I would have keep my old suburban! This one looks awesome!
Hell of a nice job! The design participants contributed to a tasteful motif for sure! I’m entered, sub’d, and stoked!
Love to see what you guys could do with this truck, Rob

very nice! I wonder if it would pass emissions though, a lot of people live in places that require emissions testing

Perfect! I love it, This will go anywhere!
coolest rig i've ever seen!
Beautiful truck amazing engine but a never see someone build suburban with duramax engine
I want it!! But it would look better with an LED Bar!
That tire and wheel combo is fantastic
Now that is a NICE truck ready to take on anything!
God let this one be my win.

What Chevy SHOULD have done... Nice!
Beautiful rig. This would be fun in the Arizona desert. God bless
As much as I love square body trucks I think I like the burbans more!
Yeah, it's nicer to have more that one row of seating.
Cool builds, let me go to your website now and participate in the giveaway!!! 😎👍🏼
Just spent a lot of money on website… let’s go!!!
Why do I always find these videos after the giveaway!!😢 0:17

Great way to impress my in-laws.
How about a subscriber build? Have your subscribers submit their truck. You all pick one and restore it?
We've done something similar! We did a returning customers only giveaway, $15k in modifications or $15k in cash.
We plan to do another one next year!

What a sweet ride.
I’m in it to win it!

Did you fab the brackets for the front diff. Or did you buy a kit from somewhere?
There is a company that builds those warn bumpers for around $1000.
I need this!
If'n I don't win, and the winner takes the cash. I'll buy it! Just give me a hollar.
Very nice. Cummins Squarebody is the best combination. Did you guys put in Cruise Control?
I’m building an 86’ V20 I’d love to see your parts list.
I can't wait!
Nice tasteful build!
Damn. ❤

Really clean build!
It's so amazing!
need my burb bild like that
That is truly awesome
I liked it beter with flames an chrome
Impressive
I think I paid $3500 for my snow fighter, internal stuff was pristine housing was a little crusty
They are crazy pricey! When I saw this truck had one, immediately I cut $3500 off the price of the truck for just that axle alone!
Love the suburban! I like the color! My favorite build since the crew cab Cummins! Will it pass emissions in California?
Im guessing it wont unless it was originally equipped with a diesel.
@@jackkrinkov9273 That is what I was thinking, probably wouldn't unless it had been a 6.2 originally. Thanks
Isn't emission testing in California only for 98 and newer diesels?

Wow. Beautiful
Absolutely love the build!
She's absolutely beautiful 😍
I have a 90, I’ve been looking for a roof rack forever!!! Who makes that rack please?!!!
Baseline Overland
Truck is sick!!
Real good job, good luck
That’s my favorite best one
what kind of mpgs does this get? is it smog exempt?
Ps don’t know how to enter the contest,Wendy use too, best of luck
I wish I had this burb
Dream truck 😍
Just perfect 🤙🏼
The rear axle looks like a sterling 10.25 not a Dana 60
So cool.
I would like to buy this truck if it is available?? Thanks
What brand rear bumper is that again?
Surprised the previous owner isn’t but product for entrees to get it back
Does this bad boy have a diesel vin for us Cali volks by chance? Very nice burb!
