Excellent video, thank you for reviewing the engine mounts and showing them while you talked. I’m swapping my m1008 cucv right now and I have those mounts. I was hoping they would work that well.
@@themike97_58 totally worth it. Just make sure to brace the frame a bit just behind the motor mounts. And try to find a dana 60 kingpin if its 4 wheel drive
@@zacharyshea117 im aware, I flipped it around to clear the oil pan crossmember I fabbed up. I’ll probably be fabbing a new draglink soon and re-making the pan crossmember because it sits to low for my liking.
@@richardsmith474 yes I was able to. It did have to be slid back maybe 2 inches. I sense have had to customize it a bit on the front driveshaft side for better driveshaft clearance and made it a bit stiffer. I will have a video coming out soon with all of the changes I’ve made. Its shaping up nicely.
Calpoly alum. Manual swapped my 88 suburban with a nv4500 couple years ago, love it

The short offset side of the dragline goes at the steering box.

Did you use your 700r4 crossmember? Did it have to be moved back?

@@TheKlamminator definitely worth it. Sourcing the parts is the hardest part, unless you already have a donor first or second gen dodge.
Where did you get the inspiration for this build?
@@doomsdaydiesel just seeing guys on youtube mainly. Sams Trucks, Merricks Garage, Willamette motor and fab, to name a few.
@@forreststruckandadventure gotcha. Wasn't sure if you ever saw the OG that came long long before any of them - Project Doomsday Diesel.
ive seen electric a/c pumps too.
I might have to look into that.
