- Don’t let the lovely patina on this 1955 Chevy Apache truck fool you. Underneath that weathered sheetmetal lurks a 6.8L Stroker LS riding on a 1971 Camaro subframe. And if the build itself isn’t incredible enough, the team at Deboss Garage slowly unraveled the truck’s history along the way before ultimately getting connected with the family of its original owner. You’ll hear plenty about the Apache’s incredible story and get a good look at all the mods and upgrades to the truck in this video.

Apache series didn't start until '58 .
Yes Apache series pickups were 1958 and 1959. They had quad headlights with two on each side.
When are we getting more of the LT4VW?
patina is just neglect, but, shiny paint leads to frazzled nerves
😎👍
my '55 looks almost the same, nature's patina.
Is it for sale?
rich guys.
Paint it. Jeez looks like you just dug it up.
It takes probably a month to perform a excellent paint job , It takes at least 30 years to create that patina 🤷
I figured Mother Nature did a pretty good job on this one, and that I will take the $15 000 and put it towards something else
Rotted truck in field $1500 Rotted truck “patina” with a LS motor $80,000 truck 😂😂😂
Please paint that thing lol
I know he could have found a better 57 in Ohio than that!
It's a crying shame to put all that nice stuff in such a piece of rust.
It’s still a good looking truck
Gee got to listen to it and watch it drive for 2.5 seconds….lame video!
ls ruined it
Never celebrate patina. It just means you're either too cheap or too poor to finish your build.
Anyone can paint a car. It take patience to find the right car and not ruin the history. building a 50 Pontiac wagon. So difficult not to take easy way out a do complete paint.
Not poor, just using the $15 000 towards something else. I have 1/2 dozen rides with perfect paint, and it causes stress. Its ok to enjoy both.
How about you never tell another guy how to do his own build. That'd be great... but I have a sneaky suspicion this advice will allude you.
@@DEBOSSGARAGEexactly! 💯
My 68 c10 is all original. It is not seeing a paint job anytime soon. Looks great rubbed down to primer in spots
