MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: How do you have internet at your cabins? A: I have cell service at both cabins but it is spotty due to foliage and cloud cover. I can access the internet from my cabins but have to drive to a local wifi location to upload videos.
Q: How old is Frankie? A: Frankie will be 10 in April of 2018
Q: What video editing software do I use? A: Presently, all I use is Windows Live Movie maker but I’m considering trying imovie, Adobe Elements or SONY VEGAS PRO.
Q: How do you get your water? Did you dig a well? A: Presently, I haul water to the NY cabin but at the NH cabin, I drop a kettle into an old well that was dug by hand by the settlers in the 1700’s.
Q:What is your favorite brand of cast iron cookware? A: I prefer using vintage cast iron. My favorites are BSR and Griswold. If I had to buy new I would buy a Lodge Brand. I plan to purchase this dutch oven in the future:
Q: What do you use for refrigeration? A: We have a small gas refrigerator that we salvaged from an old Shasta camper and a custom icebox that I built into the cabin wall. We make ice on site with a propane freezer.

Q: What do you use for cooking and heating? A: We use a Kitchen Queen 380 for cooking and heating during the winter months but we also have an antique gas stove in the cabin for when we don't need the heat from the KQ.

Wonderful video, Boss! So nice to finally see you, Lori and Frankie together again!
Yay! We finally get to see the STRONG woman behind the man!
I absolutely believe as i am sure most of your subscribers do, that you will get done everything you need to be safe and comfortable this winter. Maybe not everything you want but the essentials. And isn't the goal to always have that little more to do? Keeps it interesting and adds a little excitement. Very happy that you are taking us along!
Glad to see you are protecting that noggin' Boss, you've still got a lot of wisdom to share.
Watching you sure beats the hell out of tv. Good to see you well best to the family
Thank you
What is it about a cabin in the woods that grabs your heart? My family has had one in a State Park since 1929. My Uncle built it with lumber he bought from his Father's lumber yard. They had one Daughter who is now 80 and she still uses it on a regular basis. We use to have my Mother;s family reunions there, starting in the 1930's until 1975. Everybody has such great memories from those times. Everyone and I mean everyone loves the place. It's that experience that has brought me to your channel. A cabin in the woods is a home like no other. My plan is to finish my years in a cabin of my own. Thanks J C, you're the best!
I think I will make a video on the subject of your opening statement. There's a lot to be said about this topic and it runs deeper than what meets the eye. Best of luck with your plan Ted, it sounds like a good one.
Good to see you back.🐶
Its nice to Frankie helping with the firewood, lol, I bet he loves living out in the woods as much as you do.
After all these years, we finally meet "The Boss of the Swamp"! Welcome Lori (or Laurie) to your new UA-cam fan base!

TY! (Lori)
You're right, it looks cozy inside the cabin. As I was watching the video, I couldn't help but think back to what the cabin looked like the first time you showed it and thinking to myself you've come a long, long ways with this project. The cumulative effect of one accomplishment upon another is showing good results. Keep it up!
Thanks James. You'll really see some changes in the next episode. The upstairs looks like a whole new world :-)
Finally!! I may have missed an introduction before. So nice to finally see your life mate!! She's a worker like you. Great family. And loved seeing Frankie in the pond. Happy boy. The cabin looks beautiful. The baffles are a necessity up north. Prevent a lot of misery. Look forward to more.
