2011 Ford Taurus SHO Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 вер 2011
- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Ford Taurus SHO. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
I had a 2010 with the second to the top of the line performance trim. It didn't have the larger wheels or the massage seats, but it had the heated and cooled seats and all the other performance options. I drove it for over two years commuting from McLean Va to downtown dc daily. So I was constantly challenged by people in high line automobiles like porsches, maseratis, and top line audis, bmws, and lexuses. I rarely got beat off the line at traffic lights, and only a few cars were able to outrun me in a quarter mile or on windy Virginia two lane roads. It handled Georgetown pike with all the hills, curves, better than a 911.
When I got t-boned by a minivan I spun around three times, smacked the curb and stopped about 50 yards from where she hit me. But the car stayed right side up, and I had absolutely zero injuries. The front drivers and side airbags went off, so the car was an economic total loss, however.
These are great cars. The best sleeper car ever. Nobody thinks it will beat their high performance $100,000+ sports car, but it always does.
The stereo sucked, though. If I ever get another one I would invest in a full blown custom aftermarket audio system or at least get a better head unit.
Better than a 911 lol, in your dreams, maybe the driver couldn’t drive the 911
sorry for your loss and no way it handles better than a 911 the 911 is on another level of handling compared to a fullsize sedan
This is definitely my next buy for sure perfect daily driver 👌🏻

Thank you saabkyle I always know where to go when I want a tour and exhaust clip of a car. You haven't let me down you always have the car/ truck what ever I am looking for on your channel.
My everyday Ford sedan! Brilliant job Kyle.
Great video as always Kyle!
love the interiors in these cars
I LOVE that interior!
Greetings from Sweden
Seen a whole lot of these on the road this past weekend. Talk about a popular car.
I absolutely love the Taurus, funny when someone can afford to buy, live with and own/maintain a Land Rover but can't with a Taurus lol
Gonna be my first car!!!!
Yuzhou Zhang same!
It's my first car! I love it!
ApostleMakaveli7 I have 2013, it has a compliant ride and is the quietest car I've been in. The only con is the fuel economy.
ApostleMakaveli7 I have a 2014 and Nicholas explained it dead on.
+Yuzhou Zhang It's gonna be my second car :D My first was a 1994 Ford Taurus SHO with the 3.2 Auto!
Beautiful quality!
For some reason your videos haven't been showing up in my subscriptions box. Gotta go to the channel to see them.
Anyways great vid man! This one one of my favorite new cars on the road! :)
i adore this vehicle.
I love the look of it
I love finding a video from you in my sub box and watch it while eating. Awesomesauce
This is why 2011/2012 were my favorite years. Nobody sucked.
From personal experience from test driving one it is a great car! I certainly hope you get it one day :)
Nice car and makes a nice sound as well!
im in love with this car :3
This is Ford stunning as usual
Nice car impressed with it Ford worldwide is making some sweet looking cars well done .
Great review.
i finally seen one of these new ones about 2 days ago, very nice looking IMO
Thumbs up! Love the SHO
I traded in my '99 SHO for a '11. Love my new SHO!
IAm PostalVaper is it fuel efficent
@@laurenkruse6387 yus
@@laurenkruse6387 SHO = super high output. Avoid Taurus SHO and get base model Taurus instead if you are more concerned for fuel economy
@@datsun100a3 do you still like it? Any problems?
@@itsn0ne0furbusinesswhereur38 oh haha I personally don’t own one but have a considerable amount of knowledge on these cars. My grandma has a 2014 (newest body style that was started in 2013) and her car has had absolutely 0 problems since the purchase after her older 2010 Taurus. She’s been driving Ford Taurus cars since the early 90s!! My mom has a Ford Explorer which has the same 3.5 liter v6 and similar interior. I highly recommend a newer Taurus as they have way nicer lights all around, and a better interior with more technology. If you do not like the infotainment center including many car controls, it’s unavoidable due to the fact they use the same infotainment center in the previous generation model (featured in this video). If you need any more information on the topic of these big beautiful cars, you know where to go! Thanks for reading my analysis and hopefully you can someday get a nice car like this.
If the Taurus was on sale in Europe,i would probably buy one !!!!
awesome car!
My favourite years!
love this car
At first I almost didn't think this was an SHO simply because it doesn't have the blacked out grille or same rims as the current SHO up here in Canada. My mistake LOL
YES!! Love this car! Thanks Kyle ;-)
I also have a Ford Taurus SHO great car. Very comfortable and economical :)
I bought my 2011 SHO based on this video.Mine is also white metallic tricoat. Love it
Ryan does the Taurus have remote start?
Mario Iacolucci not this year.
Ryan OK thanks
I would've loved to see this car in Mexico's streets. But it never happened! :-( The only thing close to it is a Lincoln MKS (Which is very nice, IMO) :)
The curb weight is definitely not 5600lbs. If you go and check CarandDriver's road test of the SHO, it comes in at 4346 lbs.
i'd definitely get this..... or the flex limited with the Ecoboost engine. either way it would have the Ecoboost engine :D
One of the sportiest and sexiest "family" sedans of recent times!
It's right behind the 2004-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP/GXP (Which both my mom and I own, so I'm biased) in my books in terms of overall style and performance.
@W33Dblazer Rev limiters only apply when the transmission is in park. Put it in Drive or Manual mode though and it'll rev as high as you want it to!
Looks pretty strong
This is the engine that belongs in the Evora S!
sick car :)
@slyguyaction That's because all people care about anymore is fuel economy instead of having a car that's actually fun to drive. This thing would destroy a Camry and an Accord in a race!! Plus it's a much more attractive car than the Camry. The Accord is pretty nice but I pick this over both of them any day. Plus my dad has one and I've driven it so I know how it feels on the road. It's a well built car and Ford has really stepped it up.
3:14 curb weight is 5,600 pounds? Lol. Way way off. Does ANY modern sedan weigh that much? In reality its 4,343.
The rev limiter isn't really a problem. I've got a 2010 limited, and when you put the throttle to the floor it redlines at 7k or if you're in manual it'll go a bit past 7k before locking up
My dad has this car! Same color scheme and all except his has the 20 inch wheels which I personally like the look of better. Man this is one sharp car, I'm impressed with it. Exhaust sounds awesome too, especially when you rev it full throttle! I'm not crazy about some of the electronics but as far as a car goes, man this baby flies! Tons of power, lots of fun to drive with the paddles and has a sweet interior. Only downfall is the visibility in it isn't that great but all in all, it's awesome.
@TheXant0s
He has said several times that HD videos take a lot more time to upload and it just doesn't have differences in a quality perspective. Videos were shoot in HD so they have good quality but uploaded in 480p so they'll be available quicker. Personally I'm ok with current quality of his videos. I won't complain about Kyle's effort, just name a car reviewer with comparable amount of uploads in HD on UA-cam.
@ThatCheetosGuy79 That's also correct. My favorite trim is the Sport crew cab. Beautiful.
1:46 nice startup
Its amazing how many other car dealerships repeat Kyle. when they post videos on youtube. So i guess Kyle has set the standard for car videos.
I love the new ford dinger, so much better than a ding or beep.
Pretty enough information, I guess I´ll choose the 2011 taurus.
@Jakeman2164 that may be.
but if you ever see one in person
its a huge car.
I would prefer khaki insides... Hope they have it! This will be my trade in ☺☺☺
Hey Kyle, if it's possible, could you do the new MINI Cooper roadster when it comes out?
I love this car!
I hope that Ford will offer it in europe.
@zoomeristen The MKS is the Lincoln version of the taurus, the MKT is Flex based
Why does Kyle make is videos at 10 am it’s always that lol
I noticed that too. Really strange. Why is there also a rogue trunk release on the dashboard instead of a semi-hidden smaller button on the driver's door panel like Lincoln? Another oddity...
Can you also do a review of the 2011 Subaru Forester 2.5X either the Limited or the Touring?
I think you ment the curb weight as 4,600 lbs
please don't forget the hidden trunk release button above the rear license frame, thanks for sharing
Mercury Marauder please!
Can u get it with a full manual transmission like the old SHO's?
so which is better the 2012 or 2013 sho
I. Like. This car
At 2:16 what did he says the name of the panels behind the steering wheel were? I couldn't understand what he said.
Paddle shifters. You click the right paddle to upshift and the left one to downshift. Of course, this is only for manual use
Hey Kyle can you do a review on the new 2012 Chrysler 300 or Dodge Charger with the new 8 speed transmission?
did you take the factory speed limiter off?
That's a preference thing. At the dealership I worked at everyone said "show"
@FonDabt
Both models will merge as one global mid size car (D segment). So basically the next Fusion will be a Mondeo. The Taurus is a much larger car, it's over 5m long while both the Fusiion and Mondeo are about the same size
Unintentional rhyme? Hell yeah! :D
can you please do a review of the 2011 ford escape
im considering one of these, i found one in perfect price range i just dont know if a used sho with 80k miles is worth 24k... >.
idk wy but i love the new ford ring
not to mention that's heavier than the Crown Victoria, which comes in at around 4100 lbs
That's actually a pretty sexy car.
Absolutely nice 👍❤️ awesome...I bought the SEL version in cherry 🍒 Red and, I also wanted to get the SHO version in cherry Red ♥️ too. (Why?) Because the SHO is sporty and faster and it's got better style and it looks bigger and more options and toy's to mess with..yep. 🤟😊 besides... it's Ford Taurus series and F-serice trucks made here in America ☺️🇺🇲 💖🇺🇲.🤔👏👏👏👏
I was in love with this car. It was a bit too big and heavy for me, but I wouldn't mind owning one at all. It has all the bells and whistles you could ever ask for in a car.
Can you pick up one of these cheaper than you can a 05-08 RL? It has more power but I think I can get the RL for cheaper, has way more options.
Do you think you could do the 2011 Maxima?
@cncfan Because usually the dealerships don't fill the gas tanks to a full tank. They probably do it for security reasons, or to make sure when people come to test drive the car that they don't go all around the city for hundreds of miles.
@saabkyle04 you think you could get your hands on a r34??
kyle ..can we get a dealer ship start up video ?
Love the videos Kyle but I have a question. Why do you always start out by saying "Let's start it up and let it run" and then you don't start it up and let it run? You just continue with the video. Just curious. Thanks.
Plz review the 2013 limited Taurus
Did the seats heat?
you should make a tour on the 2013 model.
Make a review on a 2011 Acura TL SH-AWD for comparison Kyle :) pleaseeeee
@W33Dblazer It's only like that in Park and Neutral. In Drive it rev's all the way to 6000rpm.
@backintack The only Camaro that gets better is the automatic with the 3.6, weighing 600lbs less and making 53 less hp. That's when you notice that for a car that can bring a family, has a gigantic trunk, all season drivability and yet can keep up with a Camaro on the highway, 25mpg ain't so bad.
@XenomorphLV426
Where does it say 5600 lbs?? The SHO weights about 4400 lbs.
@TranswarpXL Oh shit, I got mixed up, its actually around 4300 lb. lol!! The phantom is kind of like a limo, Plus it has real, and heavy leather all over the interior, each door has 2 window glass for the protection, and interior quietness, there's more features to cover that adds to the weight including the engine. The more quality built these cars are the more they weigh. The Charger weighs 5300 lbs. MOST cars still weigh between 5000-6000.
@FonDabt
Yeah, I heard about that European Fusion, but that's actually based on the previous Fiesta, right? We never had such car here in America, but at least Fiesta and Focus are being sold and next year the new Mondeo but it will came here under the Fusion nameplate because it's more recognizable than Mondeo over here.
BTW: I'm from Mexico and we had the previous Mondeo available from 2001-2007. It was a very nice car. I currently own a Focus II from 2009 (neither were available in USA)
can you do the Ford Escape
@saabkyle04 can you make videos of the E-150 out there?
@jjchargerboy16 GVWR is how much it can handle in total weight (passengers, cargo, etc), not how much the car weighs.
this is such a far cry from the first taurus. i think the fusion has carried on as its spiritual successor.
@EDP407
Not really, Taurus is a large car (comparable in size to a A6 or a E-Class) while Mondeo is a mid size car, North America has the Fusion in the mid size segment but it doesn't share anything with the Mondeo. But next generation Fusion will be basically the next Mondeo.
BTW: Taurus is based on a Volvo platform (S80), that's the only European touch to it and maybe some exterior lines but it has nothing related to a European Ford.
What is the song at 13 mins?
thanks
So it has a push button and keyless fob, but you have to use the fob to unlock the door?
If you’d like to you can
@Jekshimash no smart key on this particular one but it is an option
