- You need to watch this video before you travel to the Isle of Arran.
In June, I travelled to the Isle of Arran, a small island off the west coast of Scotland. I spent a few days exploring the impressive historical sights, waterfalls and incredible scenery the island had to offer.
I created this Isle of Arran travel guide so you have an idea of the best things to do on the Isle of Arran, the best places to go and a few things you need to know before visiting the Isle of Arran.
In this guide you can find:
0:00 - Intro
0:38 - How To Get To Arran
1:00 - Goatfell
2:11 - King's Cave
3:18 - Machrie Moor
4:17 - Waterfalls
6:23 - Other Places To See

Great vid thanks for posting
Arran is such an amazing island. I'm glad you had a good time!
Underrated content mate
Thanks man!
Wow, what a fantastic trail. I must go there. Thank you so much for inspiring me. Great video
Ye it's amazing, glad I could inspire you.
Lived on Arran my whole life and this is really nice to see thank you, also there’s a bunch more undocumented dinosaur footprints on the island and also jeeps of plane crash sites you can visit from ww2
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and they sound amazing I might have to go back in search of them in the future.
Is it a good place to live? I'm thinking of moving after I finish uni
@@TigerLily12345 it’s very beautiful to live here but I’d have to say the beauty can trade for minor despair in the deep of winter 😂 the ferries are hit or miss if they will run or not with weather which also limits food getting delivered. But as long as the convenience of life on the mainland isn’t a big thing for you then it’s definitely worth spending a bit of your life living here. Peace is in abundance on the island and the views never get old. You either have the heart for island life or don’t but it’s for sure worth living here to figure that out.
My uncle lives in whiting Bay, wonders what a beautiful place Arran is, I want to live here someday too, my son lives in irvine so pretty easy to visit but still can't get enough....I mean lochranza 😍😍😍
We really enjoyed your video tour. Arran looks lovely. Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you.
Great video - thanks. Arran has been on my list for a while...I just need to go when the weather is as amazing as you had! 🌞🌞🌞
Thanks and I know we got very lucky with weather.
Hope you get to arran soon.
I was planning on visiting King's Cave after Machrie Moor on my first day on the island, but it was a 2.5 hour hike from the car park and back and I needed to make sure I caught the bus to Lochranza, so I didn't have time to do the whole hike there. I'll definitely go there (as well as reattempt Goatfell) when I next visit. I did show Machrie Moor and a little bit of the King's Cave hike in Part 1 of my Arran videos though. Wish I had a few more days on the island to show more. Definitely easier if you have a car though.
A car definitely makes it a lot easier. I hope you complete everything you want to do and have an amazing trip when you get chance to return.
Great to watch this guide to the secrets of the Island.we plan to visit arran this summer and this was rallye helpful.thanks!
Really.... Not rallye...

An excellent primer - very many thanks. I’ve subscribed.
Thanks for subscribing, glad you enjoyed it!
very helpful
Glad it was useful!
Very good informations, thanks. For my eyes it sometimes was a little too fast.
Thank you and I will take into account your feedback for future videos.
My surname is Arran. My grandfather even tried doing some digging and investigation but it went too deep into like 1600 and way lower he even went to the isle of arran. What if my family's royalty and we have some inheritance or sum and we actually own the isle of arran or sum w our ancestors...?
Hopefully, you find out your family history one day. If you haven't already, you should visit the island!
Excellent video, unfortunately The best views flashed past so fast I had to reverse the video and pause it.
Thank you, I'll keep that in mind for future videos.
Actually, Lamlash is the biggest village on Arran not Brodick/
Ye you're right, thanks for pointing that out
@@uptosummit_ Maybe by population but Brodick is the main place for shops, cafes etc. Not that either is anything to write home about and the beer is extortionate everywhere.
Drink water and eat strepsils.
