A few points. I have found that K&N filters do let dust in when used off road. The prefilter is a good idea in your case. I feel that a foam prefilter pretty much makes the main filter redundant and being of a smaller surface area than the main filter will require cleaning more often so as not to restrict flow. Do kit use K&N filter oil on a foam filter. It is designed for cotton guaze filters and has different properties to the one l needed for foam filters. Great videos. Thanks for your efforts.
ARieman1 youtuber channel has a pre filter on his T7, it's round and goes around the OE filter. Makes it very simple to clean out in Australia where's he's from with all the sand etc. Brilliant idea
My enduro from the 1970's came with a K&N and a foam sock. Most people removed the sock, but not a noticeable difference in power and engine longevity no-one would ever find out. Water ingress would be slower with the sock. The filter compartment allowed water to exit to the bottom of the bike like a carb. overflow tube.
Thank you so much for your video, it's going to help me a lot with the editing! Could you tell me if there is a nice intake noise after this new assembly? Thanks in advance!
That filter looks very interesting for desert riding and so on. If I ever do that I will put it. The best mod for me by far on the T7, was the high rally seat. So much better riding position and more leg room :)
Pavlin what is that tool you are using to dry the air filter? One more thing, I always put a little grease between the airbox and the filter. It helps with a better seal. 👍🏻
You got a water hose. Hell, bust it wide open. Good vid. Interesting to find something besides a UNI Filter. Off-The-Road supplied me a lot of parts for my Tenere. Yes, for a fee. Shipping is fair and quick to USA. I'll try and find the filter setup over here first. I ride dusty trails and it would definitely be good to have. I feel like I just won DAKAR Rally every time I ride mine. Next time
Hello, Pavlin, what do you think of my idea to sell my GSXR K4 750cc for an adventure bike, for example, get a new CFMOTO 450mt? Or, the other one that I like is old - a Honda Africa Twin '95(really wanted that motorcycle when I was young). I love my Suzuki, but it's a sport bike and I am 36 years old and a bit heavy. Of course I accept other suggestions for a bike :) . Good luck and happy riding!
@@motorcycleadventures ah yeah the mt 07 engine is the same for tenere R7 and tracer 700 all engines are restricted ill find the link now and show you them, it produces more BHP ill send you a link now,
Got to be careful when washing as water will run down the tank and soak the filter. I take the seat off and cover the filter with a plastic bag and me mind full where I spray . Also from the sides of the seat water can soak the filter. I personally use the funnel web from Australia but each to their own.
He’s not riding enduro or desert racing. He’s just riding dirt roads. I agree, on my desert racer Yamaha, I used uni filter and that engine lasted 20+ years without burning oil or dusting.
oh noooooo!!!!! k&n air filter oil is a poor choice for foam filters. it works 'alright' on the cotton pleates(I don't care for k&n) but for whatever reason it just runs off the oiled foam into clumps or droplets..... realy weird.
Getting access to the air filter without having to fondle around with plastics and cosmetic parts - a true hallmark of a proper adventure bike 💪🏻
Agree!

Top tip.
And good location for the lock. Currently in Bavaria, where the snorkel would be useful!
Ride safe 👍
Have fun!
Ciao hai dovuto modificare anche la mappatura della centralina???

Thanks for the info!
K&N filters are very bad for dirt bikes, they let too much dirt through.
Use a 2 stage foam filter like UNI.

Nice that your filter matches the flag colour 😂😂😂
