Triplets are so fun and versatile! I particularly use them for shuffle purposes, as well as some creative fills, and they open rhythms up a lot more beyond 16th and 8th notes! Cheers
CJ, once again your easy to follow lesson helped me a ton. I added this to some of your other lessons to my library for further reference. Thank you again.
Hi C.J., I’m a new member, and this is the first UA-cam channel I’ve ever been a member of. I have found the membership area, is there a spot to print out the music, or am I wrong about that? Anyway thanks again, I really enjoy learning from you.
Welcome aboard!😃 In the community tab or in the member tab in my channel, you’ll find links posted together with the videos I’ve posted. The links go to a zip file, and when you open that zip file you’ll get the practice tracks and the transcriptions 😃
It takes too long to explain the entire process, but generally - for toms, I tune the bottom head a bit tighter than the top head. Snare drum is pretty cranked, and the bass drum is very low tuned.

Really nice! I wish you showed slowly all you played but still thank you.
I do show them all slowly ✌️
You can always click the settings gear and cut the speed to .5x or even .25x. I find this helps sometimes. Drum on!

Awsome videos
Would you explain the Groove you use at 0:06, please?
It's a half time shuffle!
@ yes… i slowed it down and realized it was the half time shuffle. You play it so nicely that it seems like 4 consecutive high hat strokes! Beautiful!
@ you have awesome grooves
@@nelsonlourenco3781 cheers, bud!!
Love your stuff CJ. Where can I get your tee shirt. I love paiste cymbals and have many. Rock on.
They sell them on their website!
And you might find them in music stores as well, they usually sell brand merch too 🤗
CJ, Would you mind sharing your tuning?

Snare drum is pretty cranked, and the bass drum is very low tuned.
But how is your foot going while doing triplets?
If you mean the hi-hat stomp, I mostly stomp on the downbeat when playing triplets.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Your approach to strangers is sad
