My oldest daughter bought tickets to see him for the first time last night here in San Antonio. I brought tears to my eyes. Brought back memories of hearing him for the first time in 66. was in 1st grade and my uncle had just returned from Nam. He always played Smokey and the Temptations. I fell in love with his music then. I went to it throughout my life time during many of my trials and tribulations. Here I am at 56 but I finally saw my idol. I wish he knew what happiness he's brought. I got my oldest hooked on him and other Motown greats. As we were driving home I asked her to expose his music to my 4 yr old grandson when he grows up.
I bought tickets to see him with my momma also in Louisiana about 2 years ago. It was one of my favorite concerts I’ve seen. Smokey definitely still has it!

You just can’t choose one favorite Smokey song. There’s too many masterpieces in his songbook. The greatest songwriter of my life. Thank God for this man and all he’s given us.
I will always love these old videos of the gentlemen in suits doing their dance. Voices that will never be replicated. If only these modern singers had a fraction of the talent and presence.
No he's not one of the greatest pop song writers, he's the greatest song writer poet ever. At 83 years old he's still writing new music and performing.
Pure class. The moves, the song, Smokey and the Miracles. It doesn't get any better. I remember seeing them on TV and it was pure magic. These are artists in the finest sense of the words. Wish these young people now days would stop and look at this and all of the other great performances. They don't depend on computer magic, just talent.

Yes he does
We are going down history, eventually
Yes, he does.
Back when music was music, and they dressed proudly in the suits...miss it so much.
Your so right. They had class and taste back then
