I am going to be 60 this year and my children and grands have introduced me to youtube. I never got hooked on drugs but baby this is like a bong and brownies good to the last drop. "Smokey as the heart throb for every girl. I saved up to buy and little portable record player so I could have it in my room. Because of course my Dad was yelling turn that stuff off your to old for emotions LOL .
That's because The Miracles were using Mike Douglas' house band instead of their own. Most TV shows used their own house bands which were , for the most part, not used to playng R&B music , so, the results were less than stellar.
You're Welcome, I'm just happy being appreciated for posting them! I do have more clips, I just have to make sure that they are ones that aren't on here.
Anyone ever heard the song STP by the band Sublime /watch?v=EtTkz96pRwI ? Well the last 25 seconds or so are are a rendition of the start of this song i believe... weird
A classic of all classics! Of course all the Justine Beeper and Lady CaCa fans cannot relate bcz they're too stupid. Nuff said.............. LONG LIVE SMOKEY!!!!!!!!
@funny0000000 I read somewhere that of all the Motown performers, Smokey's was the weakest, due to his fragile voice. When they went on the Motertown revue tours, Smokey could only do one set a day while some of the others did more than one.
This song even has the replay button palpitating it's sooo good
This is tooo cool; man, amazing stuff. It's incredible that we can see these videos from our youth .... I need one of those suits!!!

I'm not sure about the show...It's from a collection though.

Your comment made me laugh for a little over 10 minutes.
my own version when I didn't knew it was really much better
i love this song too -- what is this clip from?
Why do i keep thinking Vinnie Jones?
Smokey doesn't look very happy here. His smiles seem forced.
Is that Bill Cosby?!?!
Suits were made so much better back then, why are we stuck with these big bulky cheap things now?
This is the worst thing I've ever seen.
Seventies mowtown love it quality of recording not good that's a shame!
