I run the chinese version of the 48 IDA. After cleaning internally, they are as good on the street as my Italian Webers. My 2165, K8 big valve head motor runs high 12s on the street according to the Dragy. Cost was 275. for the pair on Ebay!
I own a VW beetle 1303 (1973) and after i bought this car it seems he has the wrong carburator. Works ok though. On internet (Dutch website) i found the correct one, but it costs around 700 Euro. Well, i thougt: the old one is ok, so it's fine by me. Till i found this carburator on a Chinese website also... Costs: 71 (!) Euro, including postage & packing!!! I order it and the car is running fine on it since 6 months...ordering this kind of parts in China is allways a risk, but til now, no complaining...
I could never get my Chinese Empi carb to idle right. Volume control screw so loose it didn't stay adjusted. Couldn't even stall the enginge out turned all the way in
Yeah, something isn't right with mine. It starts but won't stay running beyond a minute. The video would have been more helpful if you had explained what you were looking for in the adjustments, like where the choke should be adjusted to.
Please show more about your run stand. Great video.
