I love how the melody in 6:04 is emphasized throughout the whole EP trilogy. idk why but these parts (this one, the first part of the song Heart and towards the end of sweet nothings) give me a feeling of resolution and whenever I'm listening to the EPs in one go, these small bits make the EPs sound like a bunch of musical stories with interrelation.

Dude, I'm like geeking out about these repeated melody lines
Melody from 4:28 of Selenium Forest is the same as 4:57 of Cascade, it is so epic

I really wonder what stories his albums hold

I think Plini and the others some here have mentioned have formed a different genre within prog rock. I can't describe it yet in my own mind as there are so many cool nuances. @RyanJamesODonnell 4 роки тому +4

@@dreams7091 he might use elements of Djent, but can you really label him as just Djent. The bass features a lot in his melodies, but he rocks a 6 string, a lot of his songs play in 4/4, and even his Sunhead album (his darkest so far) is only in drop Db tuning. His Handmade Cities album is also, imo, way to bright to be classed as Djent.
His influences include Periphery, but also the likes of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Guthrie Govan.

@Faust yo if you think that music with vocals are songs and instrumentals are pieces, you really need to understand how music works bro. It's the structure that makes a song, not the presence or lack of vocals. And this one has clearly demarcated song oriented structure, not an etude or piece based structure. Understand structural harmony dude.

Came here after hearing flaneur on the new EP had to decide which masterpiece was better. And tbh I still pick this song. The drumming and ambient section at 3:26 makes you feel like you're floating through a dream of good memories . Goosebumps Everytime I hear it .
