Audio by Simon Grove
Audio by Simon Grove, wasn't expecting anything else, what a genius!
barely recognized my man, he lost so much weight, good for him
Plini still looks the same always tho, I love it
the man can record another man burping and farting from 37 yards away and it would still sound incredible.
amazing! so glad to see Troy on the drums again!
And me. I like Chris, but I LOVE Troy!
Troy is a beast, I discovered Plini through seeing his drum channel
So is Chris out ? 😕
@@MatthiasMontgomery I think he either had Covid or was isolating because of it when this was recorded, so Troy had to step in. Haven't seen anything on long term plans.
@@porouian troy was playing with Plini live a few months ago too
You can tell Plini was happy that Troy was there. Early on as he's hitting the tom's, you can see Plini smile. He had everyone smiling up there.
This is like listening to an alternate studio recording of the original- amazing musicians! And it is great to see Mr. Wright on drums with Plini, he is always my favorite.
it's sounds great; except you can tell it's amp modelling... not much dynamic range
**i'm guess they just got their tech to plug it into a zoom.** LOL!
This is not live. Just a recording.
black kit, black guitar, black fretboard. THIS is a movement I can get behind.
That fretboard is really black tho like charcoal
This is one of the best live mixes I've ever heard.
EDIT: I know that this was mixed, that's why I called it a live mix. And the "Audio by Simon Grove" is a pretty big hint. Not trying to be a jerk, just don't want 1000 more people to feel the need to explain the audio.
Everything is DI I think? Besides the drums, so essentially it’s down to the drummer (who is amazing) outside of that there’s no difference to a studio outside of the incredible single take. Which again this can also be fixed after the performance because it’s all to click 🫣
@@camdobie You are correct. My band does the same thing. We have our own mixer that we use for our in-ear system that records every input as well during the show.
@@nsturge11 it's the future! (and I love it)
It's nice to see that there's still musicians left on this planet...
Of course there is man there is more now than ever! Just look harder!
One of the sets of the weekend for me.
Chilling on the bean bags with a frozen rum cocktail. Hate to use the word but it was a vibe
why hate the word tho
@@TirtaLeonardi probably cause it's extremely overused and cliche these days...but sometimes there's no other word to use lol
@@bobina321 as long as it conveys what you're meaning or feeling, no need to hate on it hahaha
bass sounds absolutely amazing
Plini + Simon + Troy is my fav trio. Might be biased cause I watched them live together in 2017 but they are insane together
And Jake is a perfect fit in the group too
Y’all have no idea how long I’ve waited to see Troy play with them again.
Hell yeah, awesome to see Troy behind the kit with you
Just reinforced to me how uplifting and exciting this music is. I grew up on Vai/Satriana and this current wave is much more sophisticated and musical. Powerful music. Also, Troy is a beast, damn.
God I love Plini. So intricate, forceful and delicate all at once, hitting you upside the head. The demand for virtuosity is very high in this band and each of these guys does not disappoint in any way, oh no!
Troy is the best drummer playing with Plini.
Not a lot of bands in prog rock/metal groove this much, it's such a pleasure to hear and to see
He makes those sweeps look so effortless!
what a fucking performance
Damn!! The tone of those drums...
Yeah!!!!! Such an awesome group of Australian prog musos! When I saw the insta preview, I just knew that I needed to see the full vid. So grateful you guys put this out!
People are going to be jealous we're alive for the Smooth Jazz Metal Era
The "Handmade Cities" band together again. No shade on Chris, but Troy is such a monster player in this context.
As much as i love Chris Allison, its so nice to see Troy sitting behind the kit again
Plini is soo good, he doesn't get the recognition his band deserves.
This was shot so amazingly. Great angles, great sound, just great everything!
Absolutely love the main motif in this song
Amazing. Great sound. Great song.
This sounds absolutely amazing and Troy absolutely KILLED IT!
I had never heard a live mixing quality like this, incredible!!!
This is perfect in any way you can think of. Thanks guys!
Everyone in that band is so good. Goddamn
that was a joy to watch, amazing live!
Best thing I've seen in years, not kiddding you. Amazing!
Such a great performance. Very inspiring.
Can we get a 5x or 10x like button please?
Amazing to see Troy smash this out!
Simon Grove is the best, like fr.
My favourite Song of Plini
That's the best thing I've ever heard. Thanks guys!!!
Wonderful.
fantastic stuff
Incredible engineering! Insane drum sound!
Troy is amazing drummer.
Amazing !!!
damn bro, I always loved troy w Plini, so much damn POWER!
I can't believe how good that was. I have to see it live someday. Blown away
SO DAMN INTENSE.
I love how much this song has changed in live performances, specifically at end. I wish Plini and co re-made this song. Maybe a Handmade Cities 2.0?
Glad to watch Plini performing live again 😁
My favorite song, i like it so much that it even inspired me to write the script for a small comic that im still working on
Tight, tight, tight! They just slayed it! Next level musicians right there.
that was amazing
Very nice!
Amazing
amazing!!!!!
it's amazing that they are able to pull this music off as a quartet. incredibly dense writing and tones
So cool to let that space at the end for Troy, dude is on his highest level !
This song is truely into that timeless level.
Drum solo to remember❤️
Faaahk. That scratched an itch I've had for a loooong time. Well done, gents!
Awesome bass tone!
its so good
Makes me happy
This was amazing.
Simply….awwww!! You aren’t a music lover if you don’t love this! 👌🏻🤩
Yes, yes, and more yes!
Sick mix!
Need the whole concert in pro shoot like this!
This mix makes me levitate
This is some masterclass stuff
If anyone asks what beautiful music sounds like, show them Plini!
Amazing sound as well. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic sound very nice so good 👍🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎼🎼🎼🎶🎵🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Amazing performance and sound, the best band of progresive of the century.
Ah, wonderfull. I mean, it is all glorious, but that drummer is really spot on. And i have to remember to put small bass breaks into my music, in case I ever play live, I can have a drink while playing my songs. Cheers!
That's the drummer that recorded the album 👍
We need Live Album. Amazing sound
Amazing performance. Amazing sound. And makes me want to get a Le Fay headless bass, since I already have two Strandbergs and an Aristides.
Holy balls what a wonderful 4 minutes and 50 seconds that was!
The whole song is just an intro to a song that never begins
That drumming was spot on! And the rest
i love strandberg.
Holy f***** s***!!! Please put this version on Spotify !!
Troy is an absolute monster drummer
that guitar is beautiful
Plini is my hero
holy moly
An Absolute genius....
Awesome bandwork
the basist was killing it!
What an amazing song and performance! And a big kudos to Simon and his weight loss. You look great, dude!
Good god that fucking snare
The tab for the bass line: wah tudu waaah tu du tu dururudu
Holy shit that final drum solo
god damn boys. I saw y’all live during your tour of this album and this brings it back awesome memories. sound production is incredible.
My lord my savior ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Simon Grove is a nice guy
holy shit the audio sounds like a million bucks
You have to love metal fusion
troy on the drums is a monster!
Kudos to the sound engineer
Please we need video for Electric Sunrise live!!
Plini just took over the mantle of 'most soulful guitarist alive' from Satriani.
Omg the bassist
