Intervals, the music you write has been so therapeutic for me for a long time. I don't think I can communicate just how important of a role it's played in my life. Keep making music for as long as you can. You're damn good at it.
@@heinrichdubloon3139 As I see it, just the new normal of Prog Metal. The half-time poly beats associated with Djent have largely replaced all the traditional metal grooves of the 00's and earlier. I mean, sure if its Djent to you its Djent, you're not alone, and whatever...genre labels can be highly subjective.
@@Sillyrabbit345 Last 3 now. I love it, I think it was in his interview with Rick Beato he said wanted to challenge himself to really focus on writing music in standard/drop D, rather than djenting around and trying to be so technical and generic that the songs end up being forgettable.
I've seen Intervals twice live and I love how down to earth and in sync the band is. This video is proof of that. All it takes is the band, good music and the fans.
I say this about most songs these guys write but man, this song has everything I need in a song. This is one of my top 5 songs I can listen to any time and be in a better mood and still love the song
Not enough is said about the drummer/drum mix. Holy smokes. That dude can play. Also that snare was mixed by the Gods. Perfect compression, perfect snap, perfect tone. Beautiful musical piece. Amazing as always, Intervals.
Caught a show a WHILE back when the shape of color first came out(actually met Aaron and Plini at a Starbucks in Omaha xD) this video totally captures the unforgettable moment I had at that show, and I don't go out to very many shows!! Love you all!
I really enjoyed this. Between new Intervals, the new Jakub Zytecki... and hopefully some new Plini sometime in the near future.....I am a very happy person. Edit: to add.. that section starting at 2:05 is just pure enjoyment. Damn, how wonderful
I know that, which is why I commented. But the contractions of those words are also acceptable. I'm not sure why we're having this conversation. Also, it's "it's", not "its".
In the Downbeat podcast, he alluded to the fact that Aaron more or less kicked everyone out of Intervals. Haven't really been a fan of the band since. Was curious if new stuff was any good. Not my personal taste.
Wow, I really, really like this. Nice production and very clean players. I really like this amazing sense of melody. Too many new players are about, "look at how fast I play and my amazing sweep technique". This is about technique without showing off. Really well done.
Well 15 years of intervals and this is my favorite song out of all of them... I find myself coming back to this song more than any other song you guys have ever wrote and I'm not sure entirely why maybe it's the sick-ass group between the drums and the bass... or your beautiful guitars melodies and riffs sometimes almost as if they were singing to me.... with that amazing tone. I really do listen to you guys for therapy it helps you guys are an instrumental band but something about this song takes me on a roller coaster ride of emotions the beginning of the song puts a smile on my face and starts off that group but the middle of the song brings tears in my eyes every time I don't know why and then I get lifted back up by the end of the song. And I'm a Metalhead at heart so the ending of the song kind of was like a cherry to the top of the ice cream. Even though you're in standard I couldn't ask you to play this in anything dropped it sounds beautifully heavy the way it is. Lol. But all jokes asides. This is one of the best master pieces of music I have ever herd.
Favorite song off the latest album. Nice tour video! You guys are so fun to watch every time you come through town. Keep it up! Thanks for the inspiring music!
It was a pleasure watching you guys perform in NH7 Weekender, Shillong. You guys killed it and left us asking for more. Hope to see you guys in India soon enough.
Wow wow wow..... No friggin clue aaron did a video for this one. This song tears me up so tough for some reason. One of those ones that just gives my soul a happy ending
That looks so f'n fun to play that live. Beautiful song. I've definitely been planning on bringing back my fundamental, melodic prog in up coming shows. 🤘🏾
Respect to the editor, who just took scenes where these guys are playing exactly what you hear in the song!
thats something very impressive, i never seen something like this who's exactly what are you hearing
Word dude....
Not at 3:18
Still, the rest of the video was just onpoint.
Mike DeMellia is amazing. Check out his work with As I Lay Dyings last tour too 👌🏽
@@screamer_exe Aaron has the final word on the cuts so its there for a reason ;)
2:04 is one of the most beautiful melodies in modern prog metal
Just a bunch of dudes living a dream - this music is the best in this world!
Just discovered Aaron and his band after his interview on Rick Beato’s channel. Freaking happy I did!
Same.
Me too. Definitely going to check them out live.
Me too! Lmao
I follow both Intervals and Rick Beato, was happy to see them do a video together :)
Same here

Internet: "You can´t Djent on standard E tuning."
Aaron: "Hold my beer."
@Jeff T explain the first riff, then. If not djent, then what is it?

Well its the power of the axe fx, even 6 strings can sound djenty.
Starting from 4:03 that is more duh-jent as it gets.
This is in e standard?! woow.
The world needs another Intervals + Plini tour! Make it happen, please!
I would literally go to Australia to see that happen if I needed to
Still waiting for this!
2:05 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SOLO!
The tone 🔥💓

There should be one out soon girlfriend 💁
Can’t play this loud enough.
♥️🙌
Betch'a can't play
Marshall Dave, ?? I was referring to volume, not physically playing.
@@davejackson88 betcha he can
The perfect music for the elegant mind...
Modern prog guitarists : let's tune down our guitar as low as we can
Aaron : nope, I play E standard tuning
Me : *mind blowing
i mean he also plays lower turnings too so yeah
Balter his last two albums mainly in E though
@@Sillyrabbit345 fair point

...one of the single greatest recorded musical compositions of all time. epic!!!
This song should have no less than 4 billion views at this point
Goes hard
I'm so glad I found you all through Beato!
I love what you do guys! What makes this even more exciting is that you are a Torontonian band. Look forward to seeing you on April 10th!!!
The editing is phenomenal .
Awesome song and music video Mr.Marshall
0:28 heavenly
Dang Mang, these guys are so good and Jacob is The Man!!
1.38-2.04 is just so incredibly melodic and melancholic....can't believe i missed watching these guys last year, down here in India.
The 6/8 was a nice surprise! 🤘🏻

I love this track so much
one of the best from them!! from 2:08 we start getting some john petrucci feels! nightmare to remember(ish) :D
It's got some The Count of Tuscany feels also (the song in general).

My favorite Intervals song. Aaron chooses the best progression with every single note he plays I swear... Dude is phenomenal.

Not bad! I see many interesting ideas at this song!
This album has been blowing my mind since release but seeing it performed live was just on another level. Intervals is unbelievable live

Plini just released an instrumental collab with Nolly from Periperhy. Definitely worth a listen!
"new" - this song is 2 years old?
@@BrendanThompson Yea, Im an idiot... I knew this song has been out for a while but I just got confused I think. lol

2:06 - 2:26 Awesome Guitar tone
Love the buttery smooth guitar playing .
Would’ve been nice if the band could’ve posted the lyrics in the bio.
They did check again
