Which music u use for testing? Regards from germany
the video quality is horrible.
selected HQ 1080 but got 360p
Loved the video.. really enjoy the testing and review
I thought it was just me. Guess not.
I noticed the same thing when I watched the premiere. It was filmed, edited, and uploaded in 1080p.
Great video Justin thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I have the skar ddx 12s and the Hyanka 12s. I powered both of them with the taramps md 3000.1 2ohm. The Hyanka 12s definitely are a good alternative to the skar DDX. They definitely outperform the skar sdr 12s. These Hyanka handle way more power than they are rated for. If someone is looking to buy the DDX 12s. Go with DDX if money isn't a problem. The DDX can definitely get more bas output but if your looking to save some $. Get the Hyanka's. You won't be disappointed
Hi audio guys, looks EXCELLENT!!!!
Hey been looking forward to this review
Hey Paul! Thanks for your support over on patreon!
When shopping for good yet wallet friendly subwoofers, and they are out there. When I'm stuck between two brands of subs of same size and price I generally pick the one with a heavier magnet, or if possible a larger voice coil (very rare if that happens). You're pretty safe using "weight" as an indicator of quality in the audio world. HYanka by using the same magnet and voice coil in the 10" as the 12" and 15" do the 12" and 15" a disservice to the speaker. Might as well get the 10" Hyanka and save the money. It's going to perform as good, or even better than the 15" subwoofer.
Great sub and great company, i think they put the gasket material just in case the consumer chooses not to use the rubber cover on the sub for whatever reason.
Thanks for the review 💪
Thank for watching
You can't beat this speaker for the price. The 12 inch is under $120 and sounds like a $300 subwoofer. Best bang for your buck
They have done a great job with their subs.
Just curious, how is this a good deal when you can get the MTX Terminator (2-12") and mtx amp on Amazon for 229$?
Awesome video👍
Thanks, this was a fun one to film.
very lovely presentation , Keep going, from india
in our country this subs rebranded as the Starsound apocalypse subwoofer and these have done a i think a 156DB@61hz in a burp setup showing their quite capable.
WOW
@@DIYAudioGuy Yes their very capable woofers if used right also they used to be even cheaper but prices climbed due to the success i just mentioned.
Can I get ported dimension box for the 15" H yanka thanks
Does this have copper, ccaw, or aluminum vc wire?
Yes why does it ? I think it's because of jealousy also because I love the stuff I'm running many thousands of dollars worth of the equipment and it's in all of my installs and I'm sold on this company I've always been first with any things I've asked them thank you skar old school bass head getting back into it love you all
Skar shouldn't be worried this hiyanka sub was blown in a 15 min video..
I'm sure there are plenty of 15 minute videos showing SKAR subs going up in smoke.
I use to run 3 12in audio pipe with a 2000 watt skar mono block amp..
I bet that was loud!
Can some one told me box dimensions for the hyanka 15" 2 ohms please and thanks
What are the specs on that box?
Despite the motor difference, how did you find the precision and versatility compared to the VSW? For me the vsw was disappointing.
This is a much better subwoofer, but it's also about 50 bucks more. The lower tier nvx subwoofers are great subwoofers for the price.
Very interesting
I think so too!
Varför är det bara 360-upplösning ?
I'd like to see you test a cheap amp that I think puts out some pretty good power for the price... audio to go atg 1800 watt 2 channel amp... sounds good
Maybe they will send me one to test out.
ssl amps dude cheap and get very loud if you want
How well it will play lows like 25hz and 20hz. Most videos i see around they only have like 35hz or so.
That will depend on the enclosure. It did well enough for a sub at this price point.
The amp link is broken
Me watching this looking at my resilient sounds gold 15 sitting in my room saying that’s a small 15 rated at 1000 watts in this video lol
That is a beefy sub.
@@DIYAudioGuy truly is a big sub for 1000 watts gonna be running a jp23 on it which should pair nicely with it
My man, how much did you smoke before shooting this one??? Just messing with ya Buddy, all the best wishes to you and yours!
It's the 12 spoke basket that makes a difference! Produces more rear cone dba than that of an obstruction type basket structure.
👍
This sub looks solid but it’s not going toe to toe with skar evls broski 😅
👍
Hey can anyone help me again im getting better step by step😄😄 in 4th order bandpass boxes, you said the bigger the port side the louder it will play. but what do you mean by that? Like bigger port area or bigger airspace? or maybe both?
Airspace.
For the port, the cross section needs to be large enough so that you don't get chuffing.
thank you so much bro ill send you support once my account is set up i promise ♥️ you dont know how much you helped me thank you
And that’s just one of the 30 other brands on Alibaba that could be Skar killers. But I don’t know how Alibaba works. Temu has tricks up its sleeves too.
I am not a fan of Temu, I find their advertisements annoying.
@@DIYAudioGuy
Lol! They sure are annoying and really scammy.
@@DIYAudioGuy
Lol! They sure are annoying and really scammy.
Idk much, but that's an EVL basket. So watch out fitting problems.
You prefer that sound over Skar sound? Now,you mentioned the SVR and the DDX,the SVR isnt the best Skar sub to compare but the DDX will shit on that sub and guarantee you it sounds better as well.
In my testing the ddx certainly does spl well, but sq and precision were very low
what about this in a home theater set up?
I would go with Dayton Audio Ultimax instead.
can you suggest a good 3" woofer please? Thank you
Parts Express has a wide variety and you can get 5% off at Parts Express (parts-express.sjv.io/3PGnNr) with the Code DIY5. You should pop into the live show and ask your question there so we can help you narrow it down a bit more.
@@DIYAudioGuy thanx for your reply,I'm from UK so part express isn't a option.
dang is this better than the sundown E 12?
Probably not, but it is also cheaper.
Is there a way to hook my subwoofer up in my house instead of being in my car? It's just sitting in my face collecting dust but I want to put it to use
Yeah you just need a constant power source for your amp, like a power box you can connect your amp to
@@andrewochoa6241 Can you drop a link for the power box that your speaking about? I'm ignorant to this woofer hook up. eBay or Amazon I suppose?
I must have been living under a rock lol ive never heard of a hyanka subwoofer
Stock electrical is good for 800 watts. Just so people know
what does that even mean?
It means that if you dont do any electrical upgrades you can only put out a constant 800 rms power anything more is a waste @bk2life
@@bk2life most don't realize this
I would love to see a review for the blackbrick hostile 15, there aren't any on UA-cam and they look like a great deal.
I think Parker reviewed one.
I can get it on Amazon I can't get skar where I'm at night be a winner lol
If you are looking for a cheap sub this is a good deal.
Best subwoofer box for dayton audio hf12 and spa500 plate pls help me 😅😅😅😅
I recommend a custom box.
where to buy db meter,,, yours can measure 40hz,,huh,, upto how high in hz
amzn.to/4791P49 or amzn.to/46bCLYZ
They are actually doing some pretty decent stuff. The coaxials I've been testing are surprisingly good.
They have the other company Exoton, I tried really hard to get them to use it as their car audio name as well. To me it just has a better ring than Hyanka. Imo
Yeah, I wish some of these brands would put a little bit of effort into a focus group or something before they pick a name.
I think they dont care because they make subs for alot of american companies, so marketing dont matter as much to them as it does to put their silly chinese company name on them and build them better than the competition that they make subs for as well.😂
Ever thought about hooking speakers up to a DATS to see how much the manufacturers are lying about their Thiele-Small Parameters?
I've seen even so-called "High End" drivers have tech data sheets that are absolute pure fantasy.
I have done that. In theory those TS parameters are supposed to be after you've broken in the driver. I don't do it for videos because it's time consuming, you have to hook the driver up and let it run some sweeps for a little while so that the suspension gets nice and loose before hooking it up to the DATS.
@@DIYAudioGuy Before & after results would be great to see, you can edit out the break-in period & other stuff like adding mass etc, your choice.
Funny you mention this, i recently DATS tested a Cerwin Vega Vmaxx 12 with a few hours play time to find the specs are horribly out. Cerwin's specs says - QTS of 0.44 with a VAS of 44.2L, DATS result - QTS of 0.79 with a VAS of 23L which indicates an over dampened woofer (if my understanding is correct). WinISD recommends a EBP of 40 & suggests sealed enclosure but ported if using Cerwin's specs.
@@HashDogg06 I did an Image Dynamics 8 where the Fs was *triple* the listed value from the tech datasheet. I emailed them and asked them to explain it, and they said, "well your instrument must be off."
I explained to them that I tested numerous old school American made drivers from JL, Kicker, and Rockford, as well as Dayton drivers, and all of those were dead on. They didn't have any response to that.
What you doing with that hYanka 15?
It is in storage at the moment.
@@DIYAudioGuy want to get rid of it?
I live in Arizona (Phoenix) and one of the most commons problems I have with amps is overheating and going into protection mode. The cars will get up to 140F inside while the car is sitting and the amp will only work for a few minutes before shutting down. It's an Alpine MRP M500 (is has no internal fan). What do you suggest (other than getting an amp with an internal fan)?
You could try an external fan.
@@DIYAudioGuy do you have any videos for how to do this exactly or could you appointment right direction?
@@drevildruid Sparked Innovations and SMD both offer fans made for car audio. But a computer fan that runs on 12v might do the trick.
@@drevildruidhey Drevil, I'm also in phoenix and faced the same problem. I tried alpine 500 and mrp-650, both overheated and one quit working after going into heat protect. I stopped buying Alpine altogether after that. I use an older Rockford p1000-1bd and it has never shut off. It seems Alpine wasn't cut out for our city 😂
big heatsink screwed to the enclosure could work (I like HeatsinksUSA). External fan would probably be cheaper.
😱😱
👍
I haven't owned one myself but heard that the fs is a bit too high for a 15. Btw im pretty sure that skar isn't going to be scared of that or any other budget company. Skar probably sells more in 1 week than most other budget friendly companies like Hyanka will do in a year. Nice try tho. Lol
It wasn't that long ago SKAR was a no name budget brand. Companies rise and fall like the tide.
Skar pays chinese companies like hyanka to make their subs so yes they should be worried. These chinese companies could easily take these american marketing companies out of the equation and put a chokehold on the market, so yes skar should worry. cant sell a product if you dont have it..
@trollslayer8260 you are correct about skar getting everything from the Chinese. Just like almost every other brand out there. I was saying they don't have a reason to be worried about Hyanka and I will still say that. You said companies like hyanka but that's not what the video was about. So try to keep it on the subject guy. Thanks. Have a great day
@@hopskustomaudio you didnt state any rules for commenting when you posted lol, so cant really use relativity of one part of my comment as your takeaway lol. You seem to be the type to try to disagree with someone based on nothing to try to educate them about a moot point. Keep fighting the narcissistic behavior and you eventually be accepted by other people as a decent person , instead of rejecting everyone and everything they say.
The main point was skar sdr isnt as good as this sub , even though its only one sub out of their lineup, its their biggest seller. Hyanka making one of better quality for less should be a concern for any of these american marketing companies selling these chinese products. Its not an argument, its just a fact. I happen to like skar and have made alot of money selling their products , but they are like any other company to me, they just put there name on something and make a fortune . If someone else, especially a huge manufacturer does it better for less im gonna go to that company first.
wlldse 3600w 15" and a stinger mt2000.1
$360 bucks total, 145db potential with a good box
skar aint got nothing on that
I have been meaning to check out the Wlldse.
My skar zvx 8" would eat them for lunch
The zvx 8 is in an entirely different category.
Idk man cone area makes a huge difference. 8 will be snappier but 2 15s have way more cone area that 2 8s. Given the same power both in custom enclosures id imagine cone area would win in numbers.
Sub'd from JRGO
Cool, I have been watching him since his channel was about the size of mine.
looking for the most budget 8'' sub and amp . :D
any ideas ?
That depends on how tight your budget is.
Looks like a wimpier version of my Nvx vcw 15. But it’s a bit cheaper.
The vcw is an absolute beast.
@@DIYAudioGuy I agree. I have 2 in my bedroom. All my neighbors LOVE them! And everything on any surface haha.
With how much literally EVERYTHING costs these days, that 15 incher really seems like a bargain. It sure looks like it means business.
I feel your pain man, everything's gotten too damn expensive.
Abuse would have been a JP83....
True
Nota fair comparison since going off what you remember you need them side by side for a real true comparison
I don't need to rely on my memory, I filmed everything and I took extensive notes during the process.
@DIYAudioGuy still should have one side by side to compare if only one there it's not a comparison
@@jamesstewart6805 that would require me to be able to see into the future. I had no idea that they would send me a second subwoofer and I needed to get rid of the first one because I have a finite amount of storage space. I'm not running a high-budget television studio, I'm literally just a guy in the garage with a camera and some power tools.
Awful name for a subwoofer, I would rather call it “Amazon bass” simple yet doesn’t sound like an STD.
I wish these Chinese companies would pay me to be in a focus group before they pick their damn name. H Yank? Wtf?
The box rise in thay enclosure is disgusting. From 1ohm to 7ohm is terrible impedance rise. Ir needs more interbal volume
If you've ever seen an impedance plot, you will know that's pretty normal.
@@DIYAudioGuy I've seen plenty. I've also seen custom Enclosures impedance rise compared to prefabs. I get you build your own but winisd isn't the best option anymore. Half the time it looks good on computer. Until real world comes.into play. Each woofers parameters aren't the same.
2-3x is a perfect amount of rise. Anymore then that is absolutely terrible in the car audio community. Effeciency of the box goes into the toilet at that point. Who wants to buy a 2300rms.amp. an only get 600 out of it because of their enclosure.
Love your content bro either way. Not tryna be argumentative about it in anyway at all.
@@TrunkThunderLithium Do you have a DATS? If not then get one and test a few dozen ported boxes. Box rise from 1.8 up to 7.5 does not seem that unusual to me. If I am wrong then I want to know.
@@DIYAudioGuy so it's not "unusual" but the idea is to design the enclosure around the specific woofer an to the music you play. I agree with you 100% on the fact that yes it's not like oh whoa that's abnormal or anything it's just whatever frequency you played for that box isn't it. Now let's you dropped it to 30hz an gave it the beans. What would the rise be then?
I get there's this rule of thumb to size of woofer for internal cb ft volume after or before woofer has been added into the equation. Then comes down to port area. Port size. I'm not tryna bash the computer programs. But I've heard some of the best enclosures an most effeciency with old school trial an error. Pen and paper. Test test test.
Realistically a true basshead does not want his enclosure rising more then x3. x4 max. If your pushing everything with a JP83 but your damn Enclosure is beating the brakes off your impedance rise. Your walking away with maybe 3k clamped. That's absolutely terrible. You paid $1000+ for an amp to give your system the 🫘. But your enclosure has cut you short. Better off buying a cheap taramps smart 5k an having an efficient box. The smart 5 will be louder Everytime. I get this may not matter to SQ heads. But is SPL guys would 🤮 at that rise if our enclosure we just built or paid damn good money on was performing like that
@@TrunkThunderLithium I have to disagree a little bit in regards to using WinISD, yes i am sure there are better programs out there, chances are you have to buy them. I have had fairly consistent results using WinISD & get's me close enough to what i can expect, also until a mic is used to find the cabin response then it is difficult to get an exact representation on how it will perform once installed, i guess that is where trial & error comes in to it.
Was this shot on a potato?
I don't know many 1080p potatoes
Are you talking about the video quality? I've had several people tell me that they've noticed the quality wasn't very good. I filmed, edited, and uploaded at 1080p. But for some reason it seems to be some garbage video. I'm a little bit perplexed.
This not better than the 12 Wlldse hcy and I had the skar evls before…..

Why does everything have to be a challenge with Skar? Sounds like a lot of hate and jealousy. It's like "Should Wal-Mart be afraid of Joe's We Sell Everything Store?". Not even a comparison. Skar sells more than anyone right now. If they aren't the best, it doesn't even matter because they have the volume. You can make the best widget in the world, but it doesn't matter if you only sell 12 of them while the other guys are selling hundreds of thousands. No one will remember you.

Same with tesla but whats ur point?
Nvx is a total joke. They sold pairs of subwoofers on Amazon but only shipped one then lied to customers.
That's not cool.
