      Paige Dyer my guess would be no to tight hold because she said all she did was moisturize and that’s a holding product that sounds similar in function to gel, which the client doesn’t want.

      At 26 I can name every person who has been in my head. I started my loc process 5 months ago and people always ask me why I don't switch locticians 😒 I trust her process and it's working. She always has my hair laid, uses natural products and I don't have any build up. Plus my hair is growing and she's cheap! A negative is she is pretty fair and her schedule is tight!! And I wasn't too fond of her parting system at first, but I think it's going to be worth it in the end.

    I am sooo thakful that I saw this video before retwisting my hair. I am 3 months in and I've been using locking creame wax. I've washed 3 times, basically when my scalp starts to itch and I haven't have any real issues so far but to know that I don't have to use wax or get and can use just moisturizer to retwist, I am so happy. Thanks for helping all of us what to do and what not to do when it comes to loc care. I know we all appreciate this. Pretty pissed that the stylist she went to was mad lazy. Even when I was starting my own, I wanted to be lazy too but I kept marching on lol. Grranted, they aren't even but they are all of similar size. She shouldn't be a stylist if she is going to be that lazy. Keep doing what you are doing one head at a time sis! one love.

Now I just use oil to retwist it’s the best decision I have ever made about my Locs.
    Less is definitely more! I’m so happy your client found you if she didn’t over a period of time the product would have built up in her Hair and added extra weight and would have eventually caused thinning.

    that is sad when you're paying someone to do your hair, and they mess it up. I hope she's able to continue to come to you or learn to do them herself.

      Rabirah Thomas in Valdosta. But I don't want to travel every time so i'll be going to a place on Apalachee pkwy. In the same plaza as Ross. There was a girl a Payless that had beautiful locs and said she got hers twisted there.

    It's nice. I started my baby locs with 2-strand twists then interlocked for a while and now just twisting. To wash my starter locs I simply used a large stocking cap. My hair locked relatively quickly, just surpassed 1 year.

    • @alandaj
      @alandaj 5 років тому

      What do you mean by interlocked them..curious I started my son with 2 strand twists and seem to not want to stay twisted when I retwist them .I be having to put 3 4 clips on 1 twist to hold it

      Absolutely. Not saying all gels are bad. I have clients who prefer to use gel. I personally don’t need or use any and some clients are the same way.

    I use jamaican mango and lime and I never had build up my locs. They’re pretty thick plus I have 4c texture. Locs can be delicate and not everyone knows the right techniques to handle them I think.

    The same thing happened to my hair. I use(d) locking gel and clipped only my roots for every retwist; the end result was never good. The breaking point for me was seeing build-up (I only had locs for a couple months). Now I know how to redo my hair properly (thanks to this video)

    This is an absolutely amazing! I always thought and was taught that u need to use gel or locking gel for a retwist. I’m and delighted to know all I need is a good wash and moisturizer and my retwist can still come out professional looking. Thanks for sharing!
