You can retwist your hair without clips i do from time to time.
check out dxlyn locs. she does it all the time on her clients
I call it the flipover method. I have a short video on it. I don’t ever use clips when retwisting my Locs.
I only use clips if their hair isn't long/heavy enough

May I ask some questions? Do you promote coloring locs and why edge control what benefits does that have?
I ask because as a naturalist with locs I know how damaging coloring one's hair can be especially, a bold color like red which requires bleaching. Also, I always strayed away from products that can cause buildup. In my inexperienced days I used to retwist with shea butter which is great for the scalp but horrible on locs. I'm just curious on your viewpoints instead of judging like others.

Stylist you did a great job! Now I see what my daughter was saying about the coil at the root then completely dry.
If done correctly it shouldn't cause damage.I'm 9 months in and I feel like its for time for interlocking but my anxiety is getting the best of me lol

Drinking water will not stop you from sweating 😓 if you are working out and want to keep hair fresh make sure you are drying scalp from sweat . Use a dry towel or blow dryer
Dry shampoo. So you have to stay hydrated. Also hydration means less "salty" sweat.
Better yet cut it all off.
Plz dont use a blow dryer
The fishtail braid is pretty but it looked tight.
