    Thank you for the video. I have the exact same machine by model number. I had a technician come out and replace mine. They followed the same steps as you show, except one way, which I didn't like. After he had the drain pump assembly loose, rather than taking it totally out from under the machine to work on, he took off the plastic drain pump cover, took off the three drain pump screws, removed the drain pump, and then put the new drain pump back on the assembly, then secured it back with the three screws, and lastly put the plastic cover back on. All while it was still under the machine. I didn't like that. Also, he used his power screw driver too much, when he should have used a regular one sometimes to avoid damage. Again, great video.

    Thank you brother. Doing my first load now. Here's to hoping I didn't mess it up.
    Side note: Make sure you check to see if your replacement part is damaged before taking apart your washer. I opened the box and looked it over for a second, only to find one of the sockets for the wires to plug into was smashed up after I took everything apart. I took a flat head screwdriver in there to pull the prong down and make a rectangle shape for the plug. Lol fingers crossed and here we go.

    Got the OE code. I replaced the filter with a new OEM one. As soon as I hit start on the machine, it still buzzes/vibrates by filter area (just like it did before). I still get the OE code. What's the next thing to try? I will mention this....the machine got a funny smell right before the OE came on the first time.

    The guide works well but it is a little light on how to put the rubber door seal and ring back on. I needed 1/2 dozen clamps around the ring and then eased the last 1/4 of the ring on. Even this took 1/2 dozen attempts. He left out all the cursing and the swearing.

    Hi so I've had my Lg Washer & dryer at least 10 years and just discovered that I should be cleaning this trap once a month. So I opened the end of the little drain tube to release the water before opening the trap and no water came out. So I opened the trap any way and lots of water came out. Lucky the trap was not too dirty. I cleaned it and now I'm trying to get all the sand out of the small drain tube to unclog it. It was packed with sand and hard. I used a small syringe with warm water and flushed out as much of the drain tube that I can reach. It took some time but now the tube is soft and not packed with sand. But i still think its clogged but i can't reach past the washers plastic frame. I think the clog is in the drain tube where I can't reach it. Sorry hard to explain but my question is how can I clear the rest of this small drain tube further? (Inside the unit) I can't find any videos or help about this. Thanks!

    Like Dale Benson, the plastic housing cracked in half when I tried to insert the new motor. My new motor doesn’t look the same- has a deeper black base at the front- I didn’t think there was any way that it would fit, but I looked at yours and the original and replacement look different as well- did they send the wrong part? How were you able to get yours in without breaking it?

  • @BobbieGWhiz

    Why not just lay the washer on its side and remove the bottom panel to access the pump? Seems like a lot less work. Thanks.

    • @spbapf
      @spbapf 7 місяців тому +1

      Depending on the model, laying the machine on the side and removing the pump from the bottom may not work. I have WM3270 (which I understand is a different model from the one referenced in the video but it had the same OE code) and pump cannot be removed from the bottom. It sits on a mounting bracket which is attached with 3 10 mm bolts to the base of the machine and they can only be accessed from the top.
      I suggest the repair is done the proper way rather than by taking a shortcut which may not work for some models.

    • @BobbieGWhiz
      @BobbieGWhiz 7 місяців тому

      @@spbapf Thanks. If I ever need to replace the pump, I’ll look at both options based on the design of my machine.

    • @manuelarriaga2004
      @manuelarriaga2004 3 місяці тому

      @@spbapf The proper way is to replace it from the bottom. Thats why there is a big hole underneath the washer and another "hole" access for the screws. You don't have to remove any hoses as well. slide the washer up, tilt it back and work underneath (secure it, obviously) . big tip- the round coin filter (pump assembly), remove two screws underneath. remove front drain/filter cover.. there is a screw right under the filter, remove it.. may have to pry to get to it.. then whole pump assembely can be removed.. replace pump and then do reverse..done ua-cam.com/video/bCCN4D5fjQY/v-deo.html
