I really like your detailed screw by screw step video from taking apart to putting together. It gave me confidence that I wouldn't forget a screw putting the washer back together! Following along on my laptop was much simpler than other videos that just cut to another scene or bypassed the reassembly process altogether. My only surprise was when I got to removal of the drain assembly on our LG WM3875HCA I had a lot more steps. I found ours also had a recirculating pump on the other side of the drain assembly. In addition the whole drain assembly was mounted on a metal plate that was screwed into the bottom with three extra bolts, then had to remove another three screws to remove the drain assembly off that plate to finally be able to remove the drain pump off the side. Wasn't that hard to figure out and getting to that point was a breeze using your video. Many thanks!
I am happy to help 😊
*From an underpaid, over worked husband:
THANK YOU!!! fixed in less than an hour with the pump ordered from Amazon🙌 The wife already had another washer/dryer SET picked out🤦♂️. Should have seen her face when I yelled out “FIXED!!!” LMAO
I am happy to help 😊
Thank You Felix, LG wanted $410, but thanks to you it only cost me for pump $30 and spring Plies $12 a total of $42..Will be sending you my appreciation. Thanks again.
Thanks Bro. $10 tip by pay pal! Down with the replacement mindset!
Thank you so much 😊 God bless you and your family
Excellent video. Thanks for doing it. Using the video I was able to replace my pump in approx 50 mins. My machine is slightly different than that in the video but it was essentially the same process. I used a set of vice grips to reinsert the retention spring which made it a breeze. That was the only part that concerned me going into this project but it was actually very simple. The wiring harness at the door was a bit tricky to get off. It took me a few minutes as I couldn’t get a good grip on it. If I had to do it over, it would have been simpler to remove the two screws holding the door latch and push it through leaving the harness in tact. Otherwise just be sure to have a bit of a system for your hardware and you’re set. This video saved me several hundreds of dollars. Thanks again!
I replaced it, drain pump watching a different video for a different model, same brand front loader. But yours is more clear and simple, I had a little bit of trouble with the orientation of pump, I just used common sense since I couldn’t remember how it was when I took it off, and I should it marked down. Lesson learned. Had to take it apart and repositioned It worked. I was more scared of the wire with the spring around the door rubber seal it turned out to be much easier than I thought. My sister was happy that her front loader is now draining good and strong 👍
I am glad my video helped you and happy that your sisters washer is fixed 😊
Thank you very much. Your instructions were perfect. My only issues were some rusted screws and putting the spring back on; it did take two people. One suggestion, I wish I had marked the orientation of the pump to the housing before I took it apart. After a few attempts, I put the assembly on my desk stepped through your assembly and orientation. It is about the only thing one can screw up. The washer is working as I write this. You really did me a big favor by doing this,
I am happy to help 😃
I purchase the tool for $12 on Amazon.
Haha we had the same issues. Orientation on pump and the stupid spring and rubber part.
Great video!! I changed this part on my washer from this video and I’m a woman. Easy step by step guide
Great video, the step process was simple and easy to understand. I was able to replace the drain pump and saved myself $225 that a repair guy was wanting to charge to replace this.
You are the BOSS, I did mine in less then 3 hours and that included a trip to O'Reilly auto to get a new 5/8 inch drain hose as the old one was full of hard water deposits and couldn't be hollowed out. Thanks for the video, cost me only $25 for the part and a no hassle replacement.
I am happy to help 😊
Very informative and easy to understand video! Thank you for saving me $550 in labor!
Glad it helped!
Good job I just repaired one today wasn’t getting the pump motor to buy so I jb weld the rotor blade on . I just hope it stays in place until I can find the pump motor 😊
Thank you! Very detailed steps and this helped me save from buying a new one ! ❤️
Super great video, I went and bought the drain pump and follow the video and now my washer drains no problem at all.
I'm back, had to replace again due to sand that destroyed the pump, helpful tip, when re-installing the metal ring o, coat the rubber groove area and the ring with PAM or some other spray on vegetable oil, makes putting that steel ring on MUCH easier
Thanks; took mine apart yesterday to make sure I got the right part, ordered it, got it, all fixed. 😀
Thanks man. Don’t have the same washer but the process was the same. Saved me from buying a new washer.
Your video was excellent. I replaced the pump with no issues. Thanks to you, I saved over $1,000!!
Happy to help. 😃
Great video. I hated doing the door seal spring so much that I went in from the bottom to avoid it. Your video helped me when I was feeling around in there blindly. You da man
Some guy wants to charge me $250 to fix my machine ....thanks to you I fixed it myself .
Great video. Very important to purchase an OEM certified part as cheap replacement pumps will fail again within months of average use.
So are u aren't u?? What kind?
Sorry was suppose to b a txt
Oh sure, NOW you tell me. I'm going to get really good at this.
You are a rockstar! That was super great filming! You saved us hundreds of dollars. Thank you!
Thank so much for a very detailed and easy to follow video. You saved me money from having to hire a repair man. I appreciate videos like this on UA-cam to help with hone appliance repairs.
Just replaced mine following your video. Mine was slightly different but your video helped out a ton. Thanks!

Thanks Felix. Saved me a lot of money doing this myself. Mine was a different model, but not much different.

Hey Fix it Felix I watched this vide then I purchased the part and fixed my washer. Your greatTTT It was very difficult getting that ring on .
Yeah that ring is a pain sometimes 😞
Just ordered the pump based on your recommendations. Thank you so much for making this video. Can't wait to get this LG working again. (I have the red model too!)
Thanks for your video, it helped me a lot. Greetings from Mexicali, Baja California.
Nice job you explained everything very well i would have liked to have seen the pump working or have heard it pumping
Took it apart just waiting for the part. Thx so much! I hope it’s the right pump! Wm2650hwa is what I have.
Excellent! I just had to replace our pump for the second time in 8 years and I found it much easier this time following your video. Thank you so much. ^_^
What happen when pump have problems
We have the exact same washer and the dryer stacked on top. My husband pulled it out tilted it back and went from underneath he removed some screws and sawed the plastic to make an access point he fixed it and put it back together. Took 2 hours tops.
Thank you for this great help video saved me a 1k replacing my washer
Great video. Thank you. Replacing that wire spring band is a royal pain. Just found the LG spring expansion removal tool ($18 on eBay). Absolutely worth the money. Wish I knew about it sooner.
Happy to help 👍🏻
GREAT VIDEO THANKS!!! My pump was a little different, 3 bolts going down into the frame on rubber cushions. Also two additional small hoses. No big deal there. THANKS AGAIN!!
yeah same, these were a little harder to get out as they are awkwardly placed in there.
Just tilt the machine back and replace the pump from the bottom without disassembling. Otherwise good video for disassembling unit for other purposes 👍
Awesome camera work!

Got dang man 🤦🏽♂️. So I have to do all of that huh. My wife just ordered the pump. We have the same washer. I’m used to taking apart our dryer, but NEVER did work on a washer before. This will definitely be a project.
Thanks for the video! It was very helpful. Just an FYI, the seal was incredibly hard to put on.

Your video saved me $$$! Say, does it matter which wires go where on back of pump? I ask because I took a photo of my pump and the wires are reversed.
Great step by step video. Thanks!
Thanks a bunch!! Very clear and straightforward
Gracias save me some money , great video !
Awesome video! Walked me through every step! Thanks Felix!
Happy to help 😊
좋은 영상 감사합니다
You the man, thank you.
Great video
Excellent video - just make sure to check that the connectors are pressed firmly on the new pump terminals and probably check continuity through the back of the terminals) or you might get the pleasure of a separate teardown to fix said issue ;-) Also, probably a good idea to pay the $13 or so on Amazon for the spring remover pliers as it makes the spring removal/replacement job much easier
8:27 Red -> left, Black -> right. Thanks!
Thanx for the content! My washer works now 👍🏼
Perfect instructions thank you problem fixed
Excellent video!!
Thank so much, I seen a lot of videos on this and your helped out the most.
good video however I did see a different video showing the guy going through the bottom of the machine to remove and replace the pump. He didn't have to take all that stuff apart. I'm going to try mine tomorrow using that method.
Totally worked !!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Awesome man!!! You saved me like 300 bucks!!! Thanks 👍
I am happy to help 😊
Thank you for the video. I was able order the drain pump from your link and fix it myself.
Happy to help 😊
Of coarse mine had 2 extra houses to remove and no video that matched up to my drain pump assembly. It took some time and the spring loaded seal wire was a bitch to get back on. Still a great video and worth doing.
Thanks. Happy to help 😊
Thank you!!!
Very informative! Great job! 👍🏼
Excellent video, thank you, the background music though?
Well ima give a shot hope it works for me bud… just subscribed btw
Thank you for this. It helped me a lot to fix mine. However, when I put it all back together and double checked everything, when I go to press start, it just keeps blinking and the washer won’t start. I hooked everything back up including the sensor on the door. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Good Job THX
Great step by step instructions except forgetting to put the other side of the drain pump back on before reassembling the machine...
And pluggin that plug back in.
Best way to put the seal spring is to start at the top and remain as close to the machine as possible and use both hands and thread it evenly going down, it’s gonna hurt and you’re gonna need to use a lot of force to open that spring up enough to get it in there. Best of luck without going insane
Use a couple plastic bicycle tire tools to get the spring back in place. They slide better than a screwdriver and won’t rip a hole in the rubber boot
How did you fit the ring back on???
