Thank You. After 10 Years of Faithful service Our Beloved Washer/Dryer stopped draining. I found this video and ordered the Part. A Couple things. Keep track of black and the Brown motor wires and their correct placement. My motor came loose without Me having to pull the assembly, and just keep track of the screws. Its always Great to save a 2k machine with a $30 part. Here is to another 10 years.
Thank you!! This worked for me. Just replaced the pump only, which I was able to do without taking the housing out of the washer. Took the 3 screws off holding the housing down and was able to take the pump off from inside the washer. For anyone about to do this, the housing screw heads are 10mm on a metric socket. Just ran the first wash and its good! You saved me basically the cost of a new washer.
Just finished replacing the drain pump on my LGWM3370HWA. I was glad to find your video dealing with the exact same model as mine. Your video was extremely helpful and made replacing the pump manageable as I thought I might have to call for repairs. Your tip on not removing the back drain pipe made reinstalling the pump unit easy and fast. Also, your recommendation to use a spring expansion tool made it a breeze to reinstall the drum boot. I recommend that if you are not experienced like I am, to take pictures and label screws/parts during disassembly so you will know where each item goes when reassembling. Took me about and hour-and-a-half to remove the old pump and less than 1/2 hour to install the new pump and put everything together.
Thanks for posting this thorough video. You saved me at least $300. Yes, the hardest part was re-seating the wire-spring device on the door seal. My machine is 7 years old and this is the first time requiring maintenance. Found the OEM pump locally and repaired it the same day it failed. Was able to remove the three large bolts in my case holding the pump to the washer base. Instead of removing the two screws on the bottom of pump , I loosened them and was able to remove the pump from the base and housing. Thanks for the tip of not removing the second hose!
Thanks for the video. I have the same issue with the exact washer model and just order a new pump. After watching your video I'm sure I can do it myself.
Thus was the perfect how to video. My washing machine was blocked with a coin, chocolate bar wrapper & and hair clip. Living with girls 🤪😅 Turned the pump wasn’t in good sharp, so I replaced with the help of your video Thanks brother 🙌
ATTENTION: I had to replace the pump in my lg washer machine today and i found a way faster and easier way to replace the pump! Take the coin catch cover off then unscrew the screws that above the coin catch then tilt the washer so the right side is in the air and there is a big opening under the washer then locate the pump under the pump there is a slide that clips in the bump houseing push the tab so u can slide it out then take the two hoses off and the pump comes right out! This only took me 10 min from start to finish
This basically worked for me. Went through bottom, removed pump from bracket, had to loosen the easiest 2 bracket bolts to allow full access to front side screws holding pump to bracket. Leave the front bracket bolt in place or instal it again then attach pump to the plate, or it’s a huge pain to attach around the pump
Very helpful video. Hint, after I followed the instructions, I realized the new pump had a broken fan. - Next time I’ll look before taking the entire washer machine apart.
I’m in the middle of this exact repair on this same machine. Thank you for the detailed video! Side note: @7:58 “13 32 millimeter” isn’t a size. If that’s how your socket is labeled… I got no idea. For everyone else, a 10mm socket fits just fine.
I am doing a replacement pump on my sisters lg it’s a double pump! But it’s actually cheaper to put a whole new pump and housing in. As it’s nearly 20 quid each for the pump motors that have unfortunately both gone wasn't circulating water from the jet was blocked but unblocked it and it just stopped working. And the drain pump side was making grinding weird noises and then just died wouldn’t drain any water or do anything surprising no error code came up ? So think the pump has had it wasn’t blocked. Would I be right ? It’s a wm12331fdk lg.
If it’s open at the bottom you can try to do it that way sometimes is your choice I have done it both ways sometimes removing all the screws to take it all apart is difficult because they get rusted and they don’t wanna come out that’s when I choose to do it from underneath if it’s open on the bottom 👍🏻👍🏻
@@DIYRepairsNow yes according to the where I ordered it from. I will double check. Besides that any other reasons why water would remain in the tub? And thanks for the video! It was helpful!
Yes they sell a tool I have it but sometimes I don’t wanna go to the truck😁 and look for it mine is a different then this one but this is the one I find on Amazon this one will work to soon I will make a video about it here’s the link for the one they got on Amazon amzn.to/3ywQ6gv
You have to check to see if you get in voltage to the pump if you get a voltage to the pump in the pump is running but it’s not getting the water out you have to check the check valve I am going to send you a couple links in those videos. You will see what is a Check valve

13/ 32 is an imperial size. It is slightly larger than 10 mm .
Thanks a ton for the video. Fixed my pump and used all your advise on replacing what we too off.

Is there a way to do this repair with a dryer mounted on top in a tight situation where removing the dryer is going to be a complication in itself?
Thanks for the video help a lot

Wish my dryer wasn’t on top my washer or I would fix it
Good to know 😌 I'm going to let the warranty handle it or my friendly neighborhood plumber. I like diy though this is scary 😨
I’ve seen videos, where they replaced the pump or motor from the bottom.
Does it apply to this model?

@@DIYRepairsNow Awesome as always, thank you for your wisdom and knowledge Nestor.
@@rafaelretiz6267 were you able to repair this model by accessing from underneath, or did you have to remove the front?
I replaced mine about 6 months ago and it appear to be not draining AGAIN. I have checked all of the filters as well.
Did you install the OEM? Part?
@@DIYRepairsNow yes according to the where I ordered it from. I will double check. Besides that any other reasons why water would remain in the tub?
And thanks for the video! It was helpful!
@@DIYRepairsNowwhat is OEM?
@@laliuxh14 OEM Original equipment manufacturing that means the part is made by the manufacturing not by third-party
The boot spring is giving a hard time every time I have to install it, any tips how to make it easier??

Why does water not come out of the little hose which result in not spinning
10mm socket
How much did this cost?
It depends if you use an aftermarket or an OEM pump, but it runs between $185 and $300
$29.90 with free shipping from Amazon. Received next day. Follow link above.

I replaced the drain pump and washer still not draining, what could I have done wrong?
You have to check to see if you get in voltage to the pump if you get a voltage to the pump in the pump is running but it’s not getting the water out you have to check the check valve I am going to send you a couple links in those videos. You will see what is a Check valve

@@DIYRepairsNow thank you so much, I will check it out
Was the code FE
Same here... IT SUCKS
13/32 is SAE not mm. A little long winded.
I did this and it still wont rinse and spin
Same here! How did you fix yours?
13/32 mm 😆
Whole new socket measurement system.
13/32 mm really, 13/32 is not a mm measurement Senior it’s American standard measurement.
I can’t find the fillit screws either
