Imagine being a mother, having life growing inside you, feeling that life kick and turn, and simply abandoning the baby at birth without ever kissing, holding, or caressing it. That baby will never know the touch or kiss of its mother much less her name. How absolutely heartbreaking.

The idea is that God created something (marriage, sex) to work a certain way. There are many ways to do it wrong (like throwing a battery in the fire, or having the fire on the couch instead of in the fireplace). Doesn't make anyone a bigot, or maybe it does? On that case, being a bigot is the right side of history/eternity.

Sperm is a prerequisite for half the battle (barring certain exceptional circumstances, i.e. a man with extreme genital trauma or similar issues who is married to a woman and they decide to adopt).
Dating shouldn’t be treated as a shopping experience. Same goes with creating children.
If this was really about the children, Dave and David would have at least fostered or adopted children that are already here and provide a home for those who don’t have one. But this is clearly mainly about Dave and David.

Many so called 'conservatives' have no interest in actually fighting for Christian cultural values and instead accept liberal and even progressive cultural change while pretending to be opposed. These people are not 'conserving' anything except maybe free market capitalism. If you are elevating personal freedom, consumerism and even economics over a Christian morality and ethics - you hold the views that most liberals held about 20-30 years ago.

When I heard him use the words "good dad" it immediately brought my mind to say "these kids will have no mother!"
My wife and I have 3 year old twins (boy and girl), how she responds/behaves towards our children is in various ways very different from how I do. I can't comfort them in the unique manner my wife does, I don't have mothering instincts and those certain ways of thinking in regards to our children because I'm not a mother, I could NEVER be a substitute mother and I would say NO man could be a good substitute. I'd like to say to our culture today, "Guess what? In regards to rearing children, men suck at being a woman (mother like)! And women suck at being men (father like).
All I could think at the end of this video was," Those poor children, they will never know or have what only a mother can give!"

@@jackraymond7288 Children need both a mother and a father. Two fathers can never be a mother to a child, and daughters especially need a female role model. I grew up without a mom for years and I didn't know how to be feminine, relate to other girls... it was very hard.

Thank you for the responses! With your thoughtful help, I'm inclined to believe it'll be much deeper than *just* their conception but the painful losses (mother and father = identity & belonging) therein and deception thereafter.
As a mother who went through natural methods to have a child- this breaks my heart. Just thinking of all the babies who are "thrown out" makes me cry.

The build a baby mentality regardless of the "parents" sexuality is utterly tragic.
Yes and no, we all did this as we searched for our future spouse. We pick what we like and don't like with respect to attractiveness, intelligence, humor, disposition in search for the father or mother of our future children. The issue is its two men in a relationship with two women that are not in the relationship with them, those are the issues.
@@scottwall8419 the difference with what you're describing though, is that there's an actual relationship between the two mates that goes beyond just reproducing. Ivf using strangers as donors, completely removes all of the benefits of having two parents that have bonded to each other in a meaningful way. Even for straight couples, IVF still presents an issue. The couples' willingness to sever their child's connection with half of their bloodline simply because they value the idea of having a child over giving said child access to both biological parents. It is the prioritization of adult desires over a child's needs, which is antithetical to what parenthood is supposed to be in the first place. (Biological parents aren't everything, but if the only reason a child doesn't have both in their life is because their mom who's having difficulty conceiving wants a sperm donor from across the country with a higher educational background and a pretty eye color, that's pretty shallow)

Did they say being homosexual is wicked and sinful? Or do they accept that, and accept the next step, gay marriage and just oppose this newest surrogacy innovation? If you don't oppose step one, you will not oppose step two and while they might waffle on step three, like classic conservatards, they will ultimately capitulate to the surrogacy thing. Well, the procreation is happening between a man and a woman, its just the kid wont be raised by a man and a woman, something that has happened to many even outside the context of homosexuality, Jesus was raised with two father figures and a mother figure.

I unsubed the Rubin Report after thinking about this and other things he has supported for some time. At some point we have to admit this isn't conservatism and whether or not we can believe someone who claims to be such. The Blaze, The Daily Wire, and PragerU, need to decide what they actually believe in. Until then I will check out.

It's an excellent question what does conservative mean anymore. Because if this is what we conservatives are now celebrating, I'm not "conservative." But the question that bothers me more now being a grandfather to six beauties, all less than six years of age, is who plays the role of the mother? Because I can tell you from life's experiences, no matter how much I may try, I'm not qualified to give those unique motherly characteristics to my daughters, nor can I play sweet grandma for the grand kids. If my little grandchildren understand the differences, what excuse do grown adults use to lie to themselves?
There can be effeminate men. I don’t think kids discriminate their parents based on the proposed roles they play. The ideal thing is for both parents to have equal responsibility raising their kids. Some families have the man being a house husband and the wife being a career woman. It’s equally valid and doesn’t detract from experiences kids could have.

I’ve had some relevant questions about this for a long time. Activist homosexuals say that it’s their “right” to reproduce and start a family in this way. But what if, theoretically, no woman was willing to donate eggs, and/or no woman was willing to be a surrogate? What if no man was willing to donate his gametes, in the case of lesbians? Does their “right” to become half parents create an obligation for others to involuntarily provide these biological products and services, like a baker is often told that he’s obligated to “bake the cake?”
Don’t think this can happen? “My body, my choice” is now passé after all, post-COVID. If they could, would they force the issue? After all, people are now being demonized for merely saying they would never date a “trans” person. If history is any guide, what they demonize today, they will criminalize tomorrow.
This is such a bad argument. Gay people aren’t saying that they have a right to others’ eggs/sperm. They just have a right to the process if someone is offering their eggs or sperm. It’s really not that hard to understand, you’re just intentionally “misunderstanding”

@@keithwilson6060 Quite different scenarios. It would be wrong of a baker to make a generic cake and refuse to sell it to a gay couple for the simple fact that they are gay. If a woman donates her eggs, then she has forfeited ownership. A lot of women actually donate their eggs specifically for gay men, so your argument already doesn’t hold much ground in reality. First of all, who says refusing to sell homosexuals even a generic cake would be wrong? What’s “wrong,” except by some moral standard?
And secondly, I asked you to entertain a hypothetical, which you apparently don’t have the mental capacity to do. But while you’re on the subject of the ubiquity of genetic material to be shared with homosexuals for use in reproduction, the same also is true of bakeries, and the ingredients of baked goods to make any kind of cake. Why must homosexuals possess the supposed “right” to force a particular baker to supply their specific wish when other willing bakers abound? So, you see, my analogy applies perfectly.
@@keithwilson6060 I’m going to be really honest with you here. The nazis straight up had the exact same argument. I’m not even overreacting. In the most level headed of debates, if we replaced homosexuals with “Jews” you would sound no different.
I am 100% on board with this hypothetical. The clear difference here is that you cannot explain to me why homosexuals existing is wrong. The baker isn’t seeing a murderer, or a wife beater, he’s seeing two men happy together. Because you cannot explain why homosexuality is wrong, other than saying it is “unnatural” or “the Bible says so”, then you have no grounds other than… “I want to be a nazi”. Which is why we have laws for discrimination

Christians are losing, it’s really that simple.
Because the objective facts outweigh the feelings of people that lived 2000+ years ago that only remained alive through their use by elites as tools to control the masses.
I agree with your criticism here, but I have to wonder if the choosing between mothers is really in the domain of eugenics; if so, wouldn’t anyone who picks a spouse based on looks, intellect, accomplishments, etc. (which is how most relationships begin, though hopefully evolve past this) be involved in eugenics as well?
I would say no because covenant and relationship are part of that. Also if you are choosing a spouse based on how you want your kids to come out, that would be really weird just in of itself, in my opinion. Our primary duty after Christ is our spouse, then our children. So to be looking ahead for children without respect first to your spouse is unnatural, but I wouldn't place it in eugenics. I would consider it eugenics when no relationship or covenant is had between persons involved. That's my take, though (obviously), I am not sure what Br. Wilson's would be.
My sister in law did something similar ("married" to a woman and both "pastors"...), needless to say that we do not have contact anymore.

Thanks Pastor Doug! Was waiting for your response to this! Interesting what is passing as 'Conservative' these days. Left taking over 'Democrat' and the old-Democrat (Classical Liberal) taking over 'Conservative'. I used to think that the term Conservative could be a way that a Christian could express our political world-view (in a word) then explain each position as needed. Simply, there is no substitution for sharing the Gospel in all areas of life.

Monstrosity was a good word to describe the IVF process and the callous disregard for human life.
Christians are going to have to consistently carry this line of thinking to it’s logical conclusion when we realize that straight couples (many who profess to be disciples of Jesus) are using these same methods to make, freeze, and discard babies in the relentless pursuit of exactly what they want.
May God forgive us for these wretched societal sins and help the the Church stand for truth in these increasingly convoluted times.

As somebody who dealt with infertility, nevertheless I have always had serious reservations about "assisted reproduction". This video confirms it!
My wife and I have been trying to start a family for years, but because she suffers from endometriosis we were not been able to conceive. However, thanks to IVF she was able to give birth to our son just three weeks ago. So, keep your reservations if you will, but I am here to tell you assisted reproduction can be a blessing.

The tragedy is kids tend to start asking those questions much earlier than that.

One additional issue about this whole ordeal is that by doing this these two guys are depriving a child of a mother.

What always strikes me hard is the heartlessness of the women involved, how they could sever their own flesh and blood from themselves so cavalierly. Do parents produce kids whom they willfully make orphans?
