Oh man. I have some 360 flight hours, a lot of them in Cherokees of different kinds (all tapered wings, too). Tomorrow will be nice weather and I'm still so excited to go flying, and these videos always get me in the mood. Thanks.
Jason, It was good to see you so happy. I’ve been a supporter of the channel since the beginning, and I want to continue to see you safe and happy. I do not see your seatbelt on the first leg of the flight home. Please stay safe.
Warriors are great little airplanes. I have a lot of time in one, back when I was instructing in early 1980's The 161 has a great airfoil, above the cherokee hershey bar wing. The 160HP engine is frugal, and when loaded with great avionics, makes for a perfect instrument trainer. The easy step up to the archer, and of course the Arrow... Warriors make great first airplanes...
Nice to make sure by spending a little money before getting it airborne and checking it all out with good mechanics.. And by making sure that some small detail, that may bring it down...
Not really... They claim it was within annual and ready to fly, they said thay about the cougar too which wasnt in compliance with its annual (looking at the fuel cap seals for one). Let alone his couple interactions with the FAA... Like the one tire loss which ended him in the field grass... Where his "good to go" plane wasnt in compliance with an AD.
Wooo whoo!!!!! Another beautiful rescue!!! I miss Buckshot already, though I never got to fly her. Thanks for another awesome Saturday morning. Hopefully, everyone survived Friday the 13th.
Yeah seeing it safe on the ground must be relief. Especially for you and your record. Then wingnut falls off. Then you start messing with the GPS, pumps and other stuff. Sterile cockpit?
I always wanted a plane. I could own it only that my situation in a third world countries is a challenge. I will one day. Thanks for inspiration big time.
Hi from Brussels ! You know our airport ! ;) I followed your channel for a long time now and I never posted something before on your channel. Your videos are great but I am really lost in where you stand with all these aircrafts projects. The usual sequence is the following: An aircraft is bought, we have one or two videos about it and... we never hear about it for a long time ! I know that it can be difficult - financially speaking - for you to present what is the status of all aircrafts projects separately, but it could be so easy for us to get some references: You post the name of the airplane and the progress number and it would be clearer for everyone ! Thanks in advance for this ! See you !
You had me concerned last week when you weren't here. I understand about the dispute with Chester County, and was worried they were trying to shut you down. We can't have that happen, not with the way you are working your butts off to rescue these forgotten aircraft and breathe new life into them. You are appreciated.
I recently earned my ppl in Warriors, I think they’re great trainers, personally I prefer them to Cessnas. Really happy to see one brought back to life. I love these kind of videos!
I'm in the middle of "rescuing" a '48 Navion. You should look into one for another project, they're not too bad to work on, but they're old lol. Probably not great for re-sale though.
If you're looking for some more airplanes to rescue, you should take a look at Freeway Airport in Bowie MD and Lee Airport in Edgewater MD. They have some planes sitting outside that could be brought back to life
Man, that big ol' grin on your face when the Warrior lifted off on its test flight was great to see. Every rescue keeps a plane in the air and increases the chances that guys like me will be able to buy one.
Great to see the Warrior On it's way back to the Rescue Hanger! Not a pilot so just curious what kind of fee's are involved in your pit stop at Cambridge on the flight home?
Right after the pilot asked about seat belts in the check list. Check lists are only useful if you actually do each step not just rush through saying the words.
Such a smooth takeoff Jason. Just shows all the hard work you and your team put into these projects does indeed pay off. Your were smiling ear to ear when she took off and you too made me smile, gracias! Always, onward and forward Amigo!
I noticed Jason didn’t have his seatbelt on when they initially took off, on the second leg he read the checklist and got a quick reminder to put it on, at least he had it on for the long haul.
I totally missed the shoulder harness and then when reading off the next portion of the checklist it called out seatbelts/shoulder harness. Proves that reading off checklists is so important.
@@os6423 OOH did not expect that response. Just sometimes you fly and most you don't . I was not trying to be smart. I want ask you anymore questions. Sorry.
Our normal procedure is to break in the cylinder by running it as close to maximum continuous power as possible without allowing any CHT to exceed 420 degrees Fahrenheit for Continental cylinders or 440 degrees F for Lycoming cylinders. Run it this hard for an hour or two, until you see the CHT come down noticeably, indicating that the break-in is mostly complete. In the Warrior we don’t have cylinder head temp sensors so we keep it at least at 75% power. I’ve built a few hundred Air and Liquid cooled engines over the years and noticed a little more aggressive cylinder honing process helps to break them in quicker.
@@rebuildrescue yeah that all sounds pretty reasonable. It would be fun to run a (CHT) thermal couple to that new cylinder just to see what the actual temperature was during break in and after break in. I recall someone recommending flying around with a bit of flaps out to create drag thus making the engine work a little harder.
So great to see another bird in the air! Can't wait to see the Saratoga and then the 401 doing that same kind of flight! Go Rebuild Rescue!! Wooot woooot...... yeah team 😁
With a CFI flying your plane, what is stopping you from getting some flight time of your own logged? Thinking of his sticker "endorsed by Dave" Joe needs some "Inspected by Joe" stickers
Why didn't you as a passenger have your shoulder harness on for the first part of the flight? It was called out in the checklist but not actually checked!!!
Warrior is a great airplane, we love ours. Very predictable, excellent view in a turn, and comfortble.
It's a really good feeling when all of your hard work pays off. Great job!
100% It's a great feeling ! Thank you for watching
@@rebuildrescue DO you have the site where you sell those aircraft please,Jackson from France 🇫🇷🇫🇷,I always watch your videos buddy
Thank you guys 🎉 greetings from Norway.
Explanation of the acronyms appreciated ❤️😎🏴.
I love that paint scheme! Pipers always seem to have a cool paint scheme, in my opinion. Looks great!

Sounds awesome! A great way to spend your Sunday. Happy flying 👍🏻👍🏻
Nothing like rebuild rescue and coffee. Thanks again for all your hard work and continued diligence.
Thank you for coming along on all our adventures !👍🏻
Good Job Jason. Sam would be proud. 401 Forever ~
It flew very smooth, and it is a nice larger cockpit to accommodate families. Will make someone a great plane. Good job saving another.
Warriors are the best! I have a 79 warrior2. For the price, you won’t find a better plane!

This video brought me so much happiness! She flew SO WELL❤️❤️❤️ glad yall made it home safe! :D
I’m sorry to ask, but what is happening with your pilots license? I would have thought you would have it by now.
No response?
Nice to make sure by spending a little money before getting it airborne and checking it all out with good mechanics.. And by making sure that some small detail, that may bring it down...
Jason, Are you EVER going complete your licens?
Hey Jason miss the videos pop out whatever you can I love watching the crew restore planes to there former glory.
To me the most exciting thing about a light airplane flight is that it be uneventful.
Can tell that lessons were learned before this video.

So good to watch this from Australia. Can't wait to see the 401 fly when its day comes. 🇺🇲🇦🇺
It's awesome having you apart of the adventure Ken, thank you !
Love to see some actual flying

You sound so surprised when everything works as it should.

@riskybusiness1806 What is the airport doing?
@@BigBisalreadytaken This isn't the place for that. If Jason wants us to know, he will tell us.
I saw that Chester County has been in bankruptcy for more than two years! No wonder games are being played.

N8251S, that's a beautiful plane. My brother learned to fly in a Warrior out of Chino airport. He's 6' 7".
I see you have your Pilot institute hat on. Greg will be happy today.
Amazing
Sweet Bird! ❤
Thank you for watching
Crazy watching this video, I'm doing my flight training out of 2W6 for PPL while on active duty.
Plane looks really nice
Thank god I get to watch an episode I really love this channel

Why is Jason not flying? Still don't have a license?
I had the same question
Even if he did I don’t think he would be suitable for a ferry flight.
2W6 my home airport. Had I known you were down, I would have come out to meet you.
Someone is a bad boy....no seatbelt??

Dang, I used to live 20 minutes from there!
What was the original reason for Rebuild Rescue, I forgot.....???🤣
Love to watch your channel. I have one question. Why don't you fly some of these planes ?
If you watch the channel you'd know why...
@@os6423 OOH did not expect that response. Just sometimes you fly and most you don't . I was not trying to be smart. I want ask you anymore questions. Sorry.
Flew into 2w6 a few weeks ago, how'd you like the low flying military aircraft while trying to take off?
I'm kind of surprised, nothing was mentioned about breaking in that new cylinder😮

What about the waterlogged irrus? Love this channel!!!
Why didn’t ‘awesome’ wear a seat belt like the pilot.
Katie's was a favorite, does this mean it has closed?
There's more room in the Warrior than a Cherokee? Huh? They're the same airplane.
Warrior is larger than a Cherokee (140), but not by much

beacon strobe working landing light, wing tip lights those id at least update to led
I feel lied to... You said at the end of the video you would post the cost to get it up and running... didnt see that... -1 cool points
Seatbelts for 1st officer......?????
Gosh haven’t flown a warrior for years. Great film and I love your caution when getting one back in the air.
it’s been years and he still doesn’t have a pilots license mhmm
His previous mishap might have something to do with it.
Jason don't you have your private pilot lic
Jason... why were you not wearing a shoulder strap on 1st leg and then wearing a shoulder strap later? Looks kinda funny.
No way you got a plane to fly in the air? 👏😱
Wow that was great! Keep on rescue'in 🆒😎💪
Always !👍🏻 Thank you for watching
Passengers seat belt, ✅️ still hanging 😅
Any rescues finished?
Yes, you must have missed some over the years ! Here's a page from our website that goes into more detail -

What’s with the 20 hour fly off … why, and what restrictions go away after 20 hours ???
You need Jimmy’s World T-shirts what could possibly go wrong. ?
They were wearing them at Oshkosh in ‘23 and Jimmy had RR shirt on. You can look up that video on Jimmy’s channel
Why didn't you as a passenger have your shoulder harness on for the first part of the flight? It was called out in the checklist but not actually checked!!!
what happened to the 401????
The firewall should be covered, right?
