I love watching you guys rebuild these plans. I can relate to the meticulous efforts you put into what you do. I had learned alot from my dad helping him as I was young. He was a crop duster for over 30 years. He had a 170B for pleasure flying witch I soloed in. Did my cross county duel with my CFI. Was going to do my cross country solo the next weekend, but my instructor borrowed the plane and wrecked it! That put an end to my hopes of a pilots licence. Flying was the thing I loved the most in life. Funny how one person's decision can affect another's path in life.
❤Thank you Greg! Such a beautiful rebuilt dream for so many pilots!❤ I don’t think I have a chance in Heaven of winning it; But I can congratulate the new owner!
Great news! This one made us all feel so involved, part of the team. Thanks for another feel good, safe and done the right way episode. This is like the Beach Boys.... Fun, Fun, Fun!! lol Bob
I love anything to do with plane's and aircraft. You guys do a very good job of inspiring others to do exactly what you're doing, keep up the good work, and thanks a lot from England.
What a dream of an airplane! This airplane is my dream right there! The most perfect airplane I’ve seen! I love the videos and have been following along for a couple years and completely forgot about this project thank you for showing us!
Good Saturday morning everyone. Love love love this airplane. Wishing you all the best and be safe out there. Happy Thanksgiving giving to all who reads this. My deepest thank you for all work and hours it takes to create all this entertainment. By far my favorite channel.
great looking bird! I have worked on most piper models but the warriors and 140s have a special place in my heart. such nice aircraft. too bad the ones i want to buy are still far too expensive for me hahaha. thanks for getting this bird back in the air
I so need this plane! I am an instrument, commercial student with 100hrs. My flight costs are through the roof and having my own plane to get my hrs and enjoy forever would be amazing!!!!
Great content again this week. It's going to be strange to not see it in the hangar alongside the 401 videos. So much to like here. Thank you for another great video.
This plane would be a dream come true, to finally be able to fly. I have watched your videos from the beginning. I totally enjoy your channel. Hope I will be picking up the plane and meeting all of you. Great work you guys are doing out there. I hope I win !
Great job man capturing the details of the engine swap and the gear maintenance of the landing gear system it's a beautiful bird and runs great I hope to fly it some day - I follow your videos every week in youtube Amazing work Jason to you and your team Thank you - greeting from Turkey
That’s going to be one of the most solid Cherokees out there when it’s done. Maybe not the fanciest if it doesn’t get a glass panel upgrade, but I doubt many Cherokees have as much work under the hood. Loved the video.
When we replaced the engine on our club Cherokee a few years ago, I was one of the few allowed to fly it during the run-in period. I was told "Fly it like you stole it". :-D
Jason, I want it! I want this Piper 160. It looks amazing! Great job on it! I live here in Sebastian, Florida. Close to Vero Beach, Florida, where Piper makes their planes. What do I need to do to get it? You can fly it right down here to Vero Beach airport, or even Sebastian Airport, which is even closer to me. Literally 5 minutes from my home. Please tell me what I need to do to win it? I've subscribed to your channel from the beginning. I've liked every episode, because I really like you and all you do. I love watching each episode. You're welcome here anytime, even if the plane goes to another. This is a gorgeous area with lots of airports. I'm close to Valkaria Airport and Melbourne International Airport in Melbourne, Florida. Sebastian has some really cool aircraft flying around all the time, not to mention all the skydivers falling from the sky all the time. We're a little secret area here in Florida. Breeze airways flies out of Vero weekly. Thanks for sharing and including us as a part of your crew. Love it. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
15:15 I wonder why are you not performing a dye penetrant testing to check on cracks. It is a cheap and reliable way of checking for surface discontinuities. Is this not standard on aircraft inspections? Thanks for sharing and taking us on board. Great work 😊
It's starting to look like this project is not getting completed as they can't work on it unless an A&P is present and it doesn't appear that they have the funding to complete it. I only watch 401 videos and check comments once and awhile. They took on a project that turned out to be way bigger than initially thought. The people that have donated to this project probably aren't very happy right now.
@@Brian_TechieWhen did they say they didn't have enough funding? If you watched the explanation vid, you'd know it's down to the airport forcing Greg out of the airport as the main A&P maintenance guy. Reading between the lines it sounded like they did that intentionally so that they wouldn't be able to use the airport for the job. Why? who knows. I don't quite understand why they have to use the resident A&P, but it sounded like Greg was no longer allowed to sign off on anything since he's no longer the airports 'guy'. That was 3 months ago so seeing him back sounds like something changed. Have faith. And also, people who donated to the project shouldn't be mad - you don't give a donation expecting anything in return. Unless they are misusing funds, and I see no evidence of that, there's nothing to be mad about.
@@Brian_Techie for me, 401 is Sam Ganow, so I was hoping the project would be completed. However, I always see comments about 401, and they are ignored, something like: What will happen to 401? - thanks for your interest in the channel The accident occurred on February 1, 2024. I hope I have said wrong and that they will continue with the Cessna 401 soon. I do not agree that people collaborate without expecting anything in return; they collaborated for that plane or for the memory of Mr. Ganow.
Thanks for the wonderful videos. I had to sell my Tripacer a number of years ago due to life changes and now dream every time I see your videos.. Best wishes
One day, this rusty pilot will get a plane and back in the air. Hope whoever wins this enjoys it. One day, I hope to have that luck or find a good deal and get back to it.
It does take a LOT of time, expertise and MONEY 💰 to do it right, BUT...... Your essential "Re-manufacturing" the entire airplane. Once your done, it's not just "as good as new", it's BETTER THEN NEW ! I'd love to buy and fly one of these classic gems. I'm sure you will find it a very good home.
Jason hope all is well with you.I really miss the 401 videos every week and hoping you can work out a plan to continue finishing the project. In the mean time please get some of the other projects finished. I would like to see you get videos on the yacht project, but please continue with the WEEKLY videos.
joe deserves an airplane!!! he's the one that does all the work!!!
Joe is a gem 💎

Boy, that ol' Cherokee looks almost brand new! Absent any bad flying decisions, this should be in the air for decades to come!

After binge-watching your series it's awesome to see the arcs of all these aircraft
Beautiful job on the Cherokee 160
"First airplane I landed by myself." That explains the gear shimmy. 😂 Just playing brother. She looks beautiful. Glad to see Greg back as well.
Looks amazing through and through! Congrats on another one done

Nice to see Greg. Would love the plain. 1 of the nice plains built in my opinion.

"You do read the comments" heh heh
Nice looking Cherokee. First plane I ever flew was a 140, down in Texas in about 1979. Houston to Austin.
Nice teasing the 401 in the back ground. What is the status of the 401? Be nice to see it move forward.
