I once realized I was in a dream and tried controlling it. I held my hand out and caused the world to flood. I awoke drenched in my own urine. I’ve never felt so powerful in my life...
Guys, let’s not forget that this is Netflix level content and we are basically getting it for free. Matt - you are amazing! (Edit) Whaaaaaat 36k??!?!?!?!?!?!??!
I don't know if i'm the only one who experienced this, but sometimes i'm aware that i am dreaming and try to control the dream, but the dream ,,doesn't listen".
Cindomis saas Keeping a dream journal with as much details as possible helped with this problem for me. My dream became more vivid and it was easier to control them. When you know you are dreaming the first thing you need to do is stabilizing the dream, the way I do this is to go down on my knees and touch the ground with my hands
Imagine your watching this video and then you see the part when he says poke your hand to see if your awake so you jokingly try it and your finger goes through your hand. Suddenly you wake up. Your whole life that you know was a dream. You wake up a whole different person who just had a dream that lasted for a lifetime in one night.
because human brains are naturally wired to remember negative feelings... once you rewire your brain to think positive and accept positive thoughts and feelings that too will change. :)
@@Enimillion possibly... but not always, depends on the person, mindset etc. Sometimes you can wake up in a panic and immediately forget everything the moment you open your eyes. Especially if you're not one to have lucid dreams. It's all interesting stuff.

Ikr its like, I'm dreaming but my dream is like "say sike rn" then I just continue doing what I'm doing and then when I wake up, I'm like "WHY DIDN'T I CONTROL IT"
Im Wubbles hahaha, I actually did it with my celebrity crush, and I think it was a lucid dream, I remember it so vividly ; I woke up and was like nooo, and attempted to go to back to sleep and dream it again, but I couldn’t :( I’m glad I wrote that one down, lol
Hey Matt. I am an experienced lucid dreamer. I have been lucid dreaming for about 10+ years now. I admire your willingness to learn more about this topic. I am happy to discuss and bounce ideas back and forth if you are ever interested in doing so. A tip I can suggest while lucid dreaming is to focus on your breathing and making sure you stay calm. That can be an issue when you get excited about being lucid. It’s funny because you realize you’re lucid, get exited and that makes you wake up.
I used to lucid dream in college. But now, I hardly remember them even if I tell myself that I will. I used to dream easily without trying. It's hard now. Any tips as to how to get back to it?
@@wayneriversjr Please note this is what has worked for me. If you have the luxury to do so, it would be beneficial to take a short nap during the day. Anywhere between 90 - 120 minutes. This way you can get through a full rem cycle. This has increase the probability of dreaming / becoming lucid during my night time sleep. Another thing I would suggest is sleeping faced up with your head sightly elevated, arms crossed, and legs apart shoulder width apart. I personally use a memory foam pillow to ensure I don’t feel anything on my face as this will interrupt the dream and make it uncomfortable. I have had many instances where I am lucid but I feel a heaviness on my eye / face because I can feel my face pressing against the pillow etc. I hope this helps! Keep trying and don’t give up!
Exactly! I think about the same thing whenever i try and lucid dream, on not getting excited and finally go lucid, then boom! i get excited and wake up 🤦🏿♂️ 😆 Or when i finally go lucid, right when i do it, something else wakes me up like the phone, and it seems like its timed perfect smh.
Weirdly enough I can remember being conscious about my breathing during a lucid dream I had a few nights ago. I even tried controlling them to not get too excited. It worked for a moment but then I obviously woke up.
Do you have advice in how to be more fully control and aware of your dreams? Whenever I lucid dream I’m not really in a way that I can freely roam. If that makes sense?
*People’s goals when they wanna lucid dream:* I’ll manifest my celebrity crush, I’ll astral realm, ill contact my spiritual guides! Know the secrets of the universe! *Matt’s Goal:* I wanna smash a cake
I used to be really good at lucid dreaming without even trying. I didn’t even know it was a thing... And in the dream I saw my older brother and I told him “ayy I’m dreaming and you’re in my dream!” And he said “no way!” I was like “yeah once I wake up tomorrow I’ll go to your room and tell you to see if you remember” and he was so excited. The next day I went to his room and he looked at me and said “what do you want?” So I left lmfaoo I thought it was telepathic for some reason.
I been having lucid dreams for years, I average about 1 a week and for the past few years it was about my brother and dad who passed away. I remember asking my dad questions in the dream like how are you, are you happy and always tell him I miss him, I wished it last longer but it feels like I only had 5min every time with him. And when I wake up I feel great reconnecting and knowing he is doing fine. Now I wait to ask my brother the same questions in my next lucid dreams.
I believe Family that’s past on can visit you in your dreams. Especially if it’s a Lucid dream. I’ve had dreams about dead relative’s but acted they were still alive. I wasn’t self aware. But When you Lucid dreaming I feel that there’s a true deep connection. Like when you ask them questions they feel like your actually talking as if they we’re visiting you for real.
You are starting to wake up that's why you realize you are dreaming and why it doesn't last long. I'm happy that God has given you a way to communicate with your family
I had a lucid dream after one of my close friends died unexpectedly. We were at a party with some of our friends and him and I got to talk for awhile. He told me he was ok and happy. We hadn’t seen each other in a few years leading up to his death so this was extremely healing for me.
This happened to my dad when my grandma passed, she asked him how we were and if we were happy, maybe its not a dream, maybe its true, i mean true in dream
It wasn't your subconscious your friend was actually with you. He is in a better world right now. He sounds like a wonderful person and so do you. God is helping you heal by letting your friend see you. Your ancestors and those who have passed on are with you and helping you.
While I was trying to lucid dream, my first full lucid dream came when I saw my dead grandmother and immediately realised I was dreaming. I just enjoyed the time rather than immediately tried to control it and fly (which is my current goal), but it was the first time I was aware enough to take full note of how vivid and real it was in real time; it really is like real life when you get a good one.
I was talking to a friend about how badly I wanted to lucid dream - she’d never understood the concept so I explained it to her. She said “isn’t that just normal dreaming??”. Turns out every dream she’s had in her life has been lucid, she says she often revisits dreams she likes every night until she gets the story perfect, she can even change the laws of physics in her dreams. She never even realised it was unusual until that conversation.. Has anyone else heard of someone who has lucid dreamed all their life? I’m jealous lmao
I have often climbed through the current movie set and entered into an old movie set, looked around and realized it was an older dream from years ago and thought "this shits still in my brain, go figure!" lol
It's bad to get a relationship with someone you won't date later in life, and if you do it In a lucid dream, your IRL relationship with them will be messed up, because of the dream.
The most strangest dreams I’ve had is reading books that I’ve never encountered before. The sentence structure was way above my education level. Where was this coming from? 🤨
@@someonesomewhere8658 Yes you can see clearly. Forexamples. I’m in a totally dark room I’m concentrating on lucid dreaming. I arrive at a point between awake & sleep. I open my eyes, within the dream, and see my room extremely clearly, brightly lit, in all directions 360 degrees, even as I’m aware that if I open my eyes for real, it would be super dark I think, even the blind can see clearly in dreams
Hey Matt can you make like a community forum where we can experiment along with you and share our experiences as well, I think this will help you get more inputs on effect of different habits on people with different age groups as well as people living in different countries
My first lucid dream I tried to kid my classmates, it was funny lol because I knew I was in a dream. My next lucid dream I stole hotdogs... Idk. My third I stole all the food in a mall and started eating it all. I don’t remember anymore, but those three where sorta fun.
When I was younger I became very good at continuing my dream as if it were a TV episode, it was trippy but fun, had no idea this was what I was doing... Haven't done it in years though, nor lucid enough to even remember dreams.
I used to do that and lucid dream a lot, I used to have nightmares, one night I cried because of a nightmare, finally when I went to sleep I never had a nightmare again. It's been 4 years. I get some creepy-ish dreams, or really gory ones, but I never feel scared, they are always more weird than scary.
I use to Wake up and go back to sleep and continue my dream where I left off. But I Lucid Dreamed a lot when I was teenager. I would literally Fly High in Sky fast or just Levitate. I could think of anything and I could make anything happen. But when I would think about something Bad idk what happened but it turn into a Nightmare. I think is weird meeting ppl in your dreams that you’ve never seen in your life. Even had a dream with in a dream thought I had waken up but was still dreaming. Obviously that wasn’t a dream I didn’t control. Most of my dreams now don’t make allot of sense. I wish I could Lucid dream all the time.
I could do the same thing, but I wasn’t really sleeping i was half awake and could change things in my dream but I knew I wasn’t dreaming, it was more the fact that I really liked the dream and wanted to continue it, and because I was young and had a good imagination it felt like a dream when it really wasn’t
Dude I have had certain experiences in my dreams about which I totally forget but then I remember those incidents when I see them happening in real life. It is crazy! It feels like Deja vu but then it is something that has happened in my dream. It's a crazy feeling!
@@virajraundal4160 I've experienced the same thing, something minor and random I saw in a dream almost exactly happens the same in real life, it happens very occasionally but has happened quite a few times to me
I once had a lucid dream where I was in a huge night city. I started exploring the city and noticed a random person who was web swinging around like spiderman and jumping rooftop to rooftop. I was like "wha- wtf" because she acted different than everyone else, so I followed her. I also had to give myself spiderman's powers just so I could catch up to her. We met at the roof of a tall building, and I asked her how she is doing that. She said "well this is just a dream, I can do whatever I want" and I was just blown away. It felt like I somehow ran into Player in a singeplayer game instead of just another NPC. So we decided to hang out together and explore the city and ate any food we wanted (amazingly you could actually taste the food). Then after a while of exploring we sat down at the edge of a roof of the tallest building in the city. She asked "wanna explore another world? Oh maybe a medieval one and fight monsters or dragons!". I then suddenly felt myself starting to slip from the dream/waking up. So I said "Would love to, but I can feel myself waking up. This might be the last time we see each others.", She said "no don't go! there is so much I want us to do, lik-" and then I woke up genuinely felt sad for a moment.
Once I had a lucid dream. I was walking down the street in my dream, and I realized I was dreaming. I walked around for a bit, and then I decided to tell people that this was all a dream. I looked at one person and said "This is a dream!" As soon as I said that, their expression went blank. A stare. No blinking. I looked around, and everyone else had the same expression. It was like this emoji: 😐. While people stared at me, it was dead silent. I woke up after one minute of that.
I would lucid dream as a child all the time. I'd even be able to go from day dreams to sleeping and entering straight into a lucid dream state. I had amnesia for decades and am just rediscovering my childhood, this was definitely one of the highlights of my childhood. Thanks for the reintroduction Matt
brain: yo i got a joke, what if a monster slowly walks towards you while you are stuck on your bed and you can't move until it's right up in your face... hahaha
Spin around if the dream goes fuzzy too, it helps to stabilise the dream I think. Although ive only had a couple of lucid dreams and only 1 that I could successfully control (it was like 2 days ago)
@@potentialaccident8196 I’m trying but still difficult to move on my own in the dream , as soon as I’m aware in the dream I immediately wake up , I’m stuck at this point
My lucid dreams started after my friend past away. I kept seeing him in my dreams, thinking it was real each time. In real life I began to say 'if I see him again, know it's not real..and try to fly'. Eventually I saw him again and attempted to fly..and I was able to! Whenever I see him now he kicks off my lucid dreams, although sometimes it's so realistic I say to him 'haha shall I try and fly??' and then say 'just kidding I know your real buddy!' Flying is one gift he left me :)
Hunter Geary I know right!!!! Like when I have bad dreams like when I’m being kidnapped or I can’t catch up with my parents I try to scream NOPE try to walk faster NOPE starts walking in slow motion
Another good way to realize you are dreaming is to look at ANYTHING with writing on it. Then look away and look back at the writing. If the writing changes, you know you're dreaming.
For me it’s like i’m aware and i’ll say or do things in the dream that i remember thinking i was gonna do but i would never actually do those things irl if that makes sense. So it’s me thinking and moving but not me cause i wouldn’t do those things irl. I hope you understand
I appreciate your honesty in admitting that although you had a short experience with lucidity, you weren't able to control it. I see lots of videos on this subject where people claim to be masters at this. Not saying it's impossible, but I really feel that most of them are exaggerating/flat out lying just to get views or to get attention..
im 13 it works trust me. idk if it's to do with practice i think it is. I used to lucid dream a lot when I was little, I still do but not as often. I kind of stopped trying but I will again. You decide how hard it is, some dreams I can't do it, I get mad and I miserably fall to the floor when trying to fly. In other dreams I don't really try, I can change buildings, people, where I am, teleport and all that stuff. *i didnt use any of these techniques, i bet they make it easier but all i did was close my eyes and wish for a lucid dream*
I've done it before. It was FUN! It's rare for me but... I got to do a little flying over some ponds on a property, and sneak into a house. It was pretty cool. I would love to do it again.
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. I literally dreamed about being in a lucid dream, one time I dreamed I was in sleep paralysis. I know the sleep paralysis was a dream because the shadow dude was wearing the venom spiderman costume from spiderman 3. He then asked if I wanted pizza. very strange.
This is my own technique which works most of the times. First you need to be aware of your surroundings. How you do that? Go for a walk before you go to bed, look at everything in the most details as possible such as trees, streets, moon. Also talk to the plants, trees as you walk by, touch them and say things like you look beautiful or wtv you want and then when you are about to sleep do a small meditation and then go to bed saying i will remember my dream and i will control them as if you really belive in it. Try to fall asleep while facing upwards. This worked for me cause i tried couple times And also another cool trick you can do is it to purposely make a part of your body to not to move at all through out the night. ( my hand were under the pillow one time and it became numb and that kicked my lucid dream in ) Try it out couple times before you give up. I can assure you that it will help you big time.
@@ovierdelacruz7158 how you so sure that you didnt move a muscle on your sleep? Did you went for a walk and look at things in details before you go to bed?

I’ve been lucid dreaming my whole like but just recently found out. I always knew I was in a dream but I didn’t know I could control them. When I found out about lucid dreaming I could control it and make or do anything I wanted. Go to different time periods, turn into animals, fly, make friends in my dream world, spawn in people and things and so much more. It’s so much fun but lucid dreams are not consistent for me. It would happen one day and then not being lucid the next. So imma trying get them every night.
I realized I was dreaming just once. I was at a restaurant whose bathroom was a jacuzzi that was level with the floor, right in the middle of the place. People were expected to get in and pee in the water. It was so ridiculous that I just couldn’t accept it, and the idea finally hit me that I was dreaming. Naturally, my immediate thought was, “I gotta touch some boobs”. As it turns out, however, even in a dream it’s hard to figure out how to interrupt a dinner party to tell them that you’re going to touch someone’s boobs. Eventually I gave up, just in case I wasn’t actually dreaming.
Whoa ur comment just made me realize that I’ve had things like this happen multiple times except with other examples. I knew I was dreaming but it felt like I couldn’t control myself enough to do what I was attempting to do.
My first thought for some reason was t ok be 10 feet tall, idk why it was weird, i was also at universal studios for some reason, and I got back home in a helicopter where when I got home I forgot to take my sister back home
Does anyone ever realize they’re dreaming, but then accidentally open your eye lids? Like you really try to not to but your eyes just open, and you either stay awake or like reset and go into a new dream?
Yes holy shitt this happened to me last week for 3 days i a fucking row i was so mad at that time.. I'm like oh shit I'm dreaming and then realized my eyes is about to fuckimg open lol
never happened to me that i remember :/ but i’ve just never lucid dreamed. except when i’m awake trying to sleep laying in bed with my eyes closed just thinking of what i want to dream of so that when i fall asleep, i’ll hopefully continue the dream. but that isn’t lucid dreaming lmao
BRO THAT HAPPENED TO ME SO MANY TIMES BRO, like I’d take a piss in my dream and then think I was pissing in real life and when I woke up I’d feel moist, some of the worst childhood experiences I’ve ever had, sometimes I’d use the bathroom in my dream when I actually needed to use it and I’d wake up and go back to sleep, crazy how the subconscious works.
imagine thinking “I’ll poke my palm just to see what happens!” Then when you poke it, your hand vanishes right when it impacts your finger and you wake up only to realize you have been in a coma for the past few years and everybody that was in your dream was actually people that visited you and treated you, and then...

bruh I've lucid dreamed like 3 times before, and every time I tried to have sex but for some reason, the cops would show up and stop me then I would wake up....feels bad man
Doggo Eater I lucid dreamed only 3 nights in a row in my entire life. It was at the end of a 10 day meditation course in India. No sex, no drug (cigarettes and alcohol included obviously), no talking, writing, reading, no screen, no phone, no internet. Eat vegan, sleep, wake up at 4 a.m, meditate in silence for 10 hours. That’s it. Repeat that 10 days in a row. My access to my subconscious was so easy after a week, and the lack of sex made me horny. Combine the two together and I was lucid dreaming for the first time in my life (without even knowing it was a thing) having orgies with dozens of beautiful women in the sexiest lingerie. Never got back to that ever once, I can barely remember my dreams on a day to day basis. Good old times...
I had my first lucid dream when I was five or so. I was at my house, in my front yard, and suddenly I was awake, aware. I flew so high and it was the most amazing thing. It felt free. Since then I've only had 4 or so lucid dreams. This video motivates me to continue to try and replicate that feeling of freedom.
When I became lucid, I wanted someone to appear. I went to my front door, thought of who I wanted to see behind the door, then opened it. They were there. It was honestly the coolest thing ever
porrrnisioo parapiyo hey! everyone is different so what works for me might not work for you. For me, i have been lucid dreaming since i was young, way before i even knew what lucid dreaming was. Saying that, i’m honestly still a noob. This is because i have only become lucid WHILE ALREADY in a dream. i have tried some techniques like WILD and FILD but i failed at those lol. FILD almost worked but i got too excited and woke myself up :( anyways, since you’re a beginner i would recommend doing some research on the FILD technique and also start with reality checks and dream journaling. it may seem like a lot of work but trust me ITS WORTH IT. you will be able to experience things you would never be able to in waking life. sometimes lucid dreams feel more real than reality. meeting your fav anime characters sound SO COOL. i can’t believe i’ve never thought of doing that !! thanks for the idea 💜 i hope i helped :)

That was a great day, felt like I had 2 saturdays in one day
I had a dream once living out an entire relationship with a girl I've never met. Full on everything until death. When I woke up next to my girlfriend I genuinely felt sad as if I had lost someone I loved. Because I kinda did. Wasn't lucid but still worth sharing I think... anything lucid always ends with me trying to fly and it works out more often than not. I love that.

This happened to me once except it was my whole life (not my real life, completely fictitious) up to my mid-thirties (I was in my mid-twenties at the time) and I was married (not to anyone I know in real life) and about 8 months pregnant with twin girls. I realised right before I woke up that the whole thing had been a dream and that I was about to lose my baby girls and woke up sobbing. Very, very, very weird.
I had a similar experience too. The emotions feel so real and extremely deep.emotions I haven't even experienced like getting married, or having love for a child.once you wake up it's hard to separate the life passing behind your eyes and the one In front.
2 things this reminds me of: Ari Shaffir took salvia and lived out an entire life in 10 minutes. Joe Rogan talks about this, and there is UA-cam footage of him when it happened. Also, an ST:TNG episode where Picard was scanned by a probe, lived out a whole life in another culture, and rewoke. In that life he learned to play a penny whistle. Upon waking, he could play the penny whistle.

Antanas Končius yes I really did, I also had another experience where I was talking to my cousin and I was telling him “we’re in a dream dude” and he wouldn’t believe me lol
This is a war that is inside your mind, a war between your conscious self and the subconscious. Are you truly lucid dreaming? If so, calm yourself in the dream, as you know that whatever it is that is happening is not real. Calmly stand your ground in a dream and assert dominance, attack with the little control you may have, and then your subconscious will give in, with your brain letting you do whatever you want.
@@L4NTZEN Can testify. One time when I was in danger and cornered by a couple of dream monsters, as soon as I realized I was dreaming, I made their heads explode bloody. Who else realizes they’re dreaming, closes their eyes in their dream after realizing they’re dreaming, and wake up. Happens to me all the time. I try to keep my eyes open to keep dreaming but no matter what they just close immediately on their own.
Based on my experience, Lucid Dream has a time limit. Once u nearing the time limit the more sleepy u get. It just like suddenly ur eyes shut. The most effective way to keep yourself not to getting out from lucid dreaming is try to stimulate ur sense. I pinch myself real hard everytime my vision getting blurred. I had a long dream and like 90% into it I legit said to a person “I’m dreaming” it was hard to say and when I told the person he just said “cool” (That’s a lot of likes!)

Exactly! I think about the same thing whenever i try and lucid dream, on not getting excited and finally go lucid, then boom! i get excited and wake up 🤦🏿♂️ 😆
Or when i finally go lucid, right when i do it, something else wakes me up like the phone, and it seems like its timed perfect smh.

I been having lucid dreams for years, I average about 1 a week and for the past few years it was about my brother and dad who passed away. I remember asking my dad questions in the dream like how are you, are you happy and always tell him I miss him, I wished it last longer but it feels like I only had 5min every time with him. And when I wake up I feel great reconnecting and knowing he is doing fine. Now I wait to ask my brother the same questions in my next lucid dreams.
Damn man that's awesome

PULSAR I definitely think it’s possible. It could also be my subconscious trying to make me feel better. Either way, it’s something I’ll never forget.
It wasn't your subconscious your friend was actually with you. He is in a better world right now. He sounds like a wonderful person and so do you. God is helping you heal by letting your friend see you. Your ancestors and those who have passed on are with you and helping you.
Lexi -ArrowWolf- Soelberg thank you! I think so too 😊
While I was trying to lucid dream, my first full lucid dream came when I saw my dead grandmother and immediately realised I was dreaming.

If you feel waking up as soon as you get lucid, here's a trick you can try, look at any solid object and just focus on it. This works for me.
My lucid dreams started after my friend past away. I kept seeing him in my dreams, thinking it was real each time. day 33 of quarantine: i’m basically watching a tutorial on how to lucid dream
Same. I had a very short lucid dream after a few attempts. Anyone got any tips?
This is my own technique which works most of the times. First you need to be aware of your surroundings. How you do that? Go for a walk before you go to bed, look at everything in the most details as possible such as trees, streets, moon. Also talk to the plants, trees as you walk by, touch them and say things like you look beautiful or wtv you want and then when you are about to sleep do a small meditation and then go to bed saying i will remember my dream and i will control them as if you really belive in it. Try to fall asleep while facing upwards. This worked for me cause i tried couple times
And also another cool trick you can do is it to purposely make a part of your body to not to move at all through out the night. ( my hand were under the pillow one time and it became numb and that kicked my lucid dream in )
Try it out couple times before you give up. I can assure you that it will help you big time.

I lucid dreamed only 3 nights in a row in my entire life.
I had one a few days back. It's still pretty vivid. Felt weird.

Since then I've only had 4 or so lucid dreams. This video motivates me to continue to try and replicate that feeling of freedom.

Help me,what did you do to be able to lucid dream? I really want to lucid dream and meet anime characters I love!
porrrnisioo parapiyo hey! everyone is different so what works for me might not work for you.

I don't remember lucid dreaming before, but there was this one time I dreamt of waking up from a dream, I woke up legitimately thinking I was awake, I spent the day like a usual saturday (at least that's what it felt like), got "tired" and went to "sleep".
that's when I woke up into the actual world. That was a great day, felt like I had 2 saturdays in one day
Thats crazy
You can do that???
You're lucky it wasn't monday
Yooo dude i had that too, i thougt i woke up and dreamt about my usual sunday morning and then woke up. Its crazy right
astral projection ?
2 things this reminds me of:
Ari Shaffir took salvia and lived out an entire life in 10 minutes.
Have you guys read this book called "many lives many masters"? It's based on the experiences of a real patient who experienced things very similar to your experience, only difference being she had most of them under a state of hypnosis.
u gotta find the real one u say in yer dreams
Me: tries lucid dreaming.

But still the blurry it got more harder u need to pinch. I pinched my arm. I quite a long time on lucid dream.
