The fact that he saved up specifically for her wedding dress is so sweet ❤ you can tell her dad adores her
True but hope she is not a spoiled brat.
Sweet, but it would have been sweeter from her not to allow him to increase budget. 7k is an insane amount of money, you can get tones of dresses without having to go up to 10k, even pninas. Sorry, but there are loads of people who could do wonders with that much money.
@@martatrunas I agree and $7000 is already too much for a dress you will wear only once.
He adores her.alright..more than his wife..pathetic
Combat pay on a pretentious dress omg!!!
What a selfish daughter to put the pay her father put his life in danger for ..on a dress.
There will never be enough sparkle in the world for this bride.
Shame on her.
Girl legit could have got what she wanted without having to pay extra on custom if she just looked outside of Pnina's section 🙄
she could have gotten a perfectly custom dress for like $3000 on etsy
She said she wanted Pnina and some people pay money for luxurious items. I know Pnina isn’t a brand that’s synonymous with Louis Vuitton, but some of women go in there asking for specifically Pnina or Mark Zunino dresses.
@@TightyWhiteyTrash She said "Pnina's really called to me." She didn't say she exclusively wanted Pnina. So, when the Pnina dresses weren't working out quite right, that's when the consultant should have started pulling dresses of other brands.
@@cocoagirl7921 you realize this is an edited video correct? The whole interaction of her walking in and out of the store isn’t recorded. How do you know she didn’t insist on having a Pnina dress? If you think you could’ve done a better job, then apply at Klienfeld idk lol. If you go to a store and say a brand, whether you like it, it calls to you, it speaks to you, or even screams back at you…the store associate is most likely gonna show you things in that brand. They’re not being paid to guess what she wants…they have to get an idea as well and make their quota at the same time.
@@TightyWhiteyTrash , I couldn't help but notice how many times you've typed this in the comment replies. You sound obsessive and triggered. Dang, let it go. Were you this bride? Or is it that your youtube user name of "duh1insane" describe you perfectly?
I love that she honored his service and that he used the worst times for him to fund a beautiful dress for his daughter. Tears!!!
He is the epitome of a selfless man. He is a surgeon for the military. He could be a rich man if were in private practice. Yet he chooses to serve our country. What a very special man.
That made me cry as well!!! What a wonderful Dad!! ❤❤
Worst times? Lol. The Army is not a curse. Some of my best, most lively years were in the service.
@@AkireMaru In Germany? In Japan? On a ship, yeah, at the barracks, learning how to be a man.....but being a combat surgeon? For more tours than one? Are you joking?
The fact that he stood up shows manners and respect. EVERYONE needs to stand up when they greet someone who's standing. Where have our manners gone???????
I know. He's so dreamy. I wish society would have a little more manners.
He is definitely a gentleman. The world could use a LOT more men like him.
Boomers didn’t really teach manners up to this length for guys. I was taught to hold the door for people and a few other things, but standing up for women went out of style. I don’t know any guys that do that. So the cycle kept going to younger gens.
So much decorum has been lost, especially in the US.
Yes he is a sweet man.
With a father like him.... Her husband has big shoes to fill.... With Love ❤️❤️
With a father like that she had to pick the right man. She was very lovely.
@@jazlen20 She has to be the right woman too.
@Trinh I’m sure she was raised right. Go look at other videos when the bride throws a fit. This bride said her dad opinion mattered. So I’m sure she’s a good person.
@@jazlen20 Well just these little clips don’t really show how they really are. They can be acting for the cameras too.
Her husband is awesome! I grew up with him.
Man, they could have used the $10,000 and bought plane tickets to England and had Gok find her a much more beautiful dress. Pnina is overrated.
Agree, it's a waste, and yes, Pnina is overrated
They Love a Pnina And Her dresses are not all that
She wanted the brand more so I think. Some people pay for things that others won’t (or can’t afford) just to have something that is expensive. They think they are paying for the quality, and yes her dresses spend A LOT of time to make, but they aren’t as appealing to the eye for some.
Well that is the dress she wanted
her dresses are to expensive.... its just a name.. that they buy..
It’s so sweet that he saved up all this money for her. Personally, I couldn’t spend that amount of money on a wedding dress no matter the budget. I’d be ashamed to spend my dad’s savings like that. It’s only 1 day and you really can find gorgeous dresses for way less. You’re really just paying for the brand name
I agree. I would have said to my dad if he really insisted on the gift that I would rather have a beautiful but way less expensive dress and put the rest away to save for something for my future married life. I wouldn't spend big bucks on a wedding either. Don't see the point really
That dad just couldn't be more precious. That he saved combat pay for something so wonderful for his little girl got me weepy.
It's definitely sweet of him to save that money. But I don't really get the feels that he spent it on a flashy dress for a single day in her life. I think paying for something to set her up in her new married life would have been a more meaningful way to spend it. But everyone is different
@@Airelda I do understand what you're saying. It's definitely a valid opinion. ❤️
Hard to believe she couldn't find a dress lower than 7K let alone 10K. Love her Dad.
$7000 and they don't have a dress with more bling?
Probably not in the Pnina section.
She wants only Pnina dress .....
@@WaitingxInxSilence yep
thats what im sayinggggg
@@TC2509 Coulda shopped in the Perla D by Pnina line.
I solute to dad. He saved his Combat pay to his daughter’s wedding dress. He didn’t complain what she chose. God bless this family.
"Solute; the minor component in a solution, dissolved in the solvent."
"SALUTE: A gesture of respect, honor, homage, of polite recognition or acknowledgment."
It matters hugely which words are used, especially since you used a terribly wrong word trying to compliment the officer.
I could never let my dad spend $10 grand on a dress I wear one time I just couldn’t
Ok, but what is outrageously expensive to you and your family is different for hers
@@AkireMaru Nope - it's outrageously and obscenely expensive, period.
@@BasicYTHandle I still stand by my original comment
I agree with you. If my dad was a millionaire of course. But if is a working dad I wouldn’t even let him pay for my dress.
I love her dad. He's what every daughter dreams of - a man who will do his utmost to make her dreams come true.
I had a wonderful father, but by no means would I ever have asked, nor did I ever ask, that he spend thousands of dollars on me at any time (I'm not putting this girl down; her father wanted to spend the money on her, and that's sweet).
My Dad was a man of great integrity, of honor and dignity, even though he was physically unable to go into the military due to being blind in one eye. To me, he was far more precious and valuable than any other man on Earth, just as this man is to his daughter. We don't all "dream" of a daddy who can do things with money; their love and time are worth far, far more!
Since 50% of marriages end in divorce I hope his money wasn't wasted.
Pnina’s dresses are .. meh
Pnina's dresses are...trashy.
💯 agree
Coming out of this just learning the name "Pnina" and that I dislike the style.
Love her, she is such a lively, talented woman.
Omg agree Matthew Christopher dresses are stunning I wish they would show more
Wow, the Pnina gown with "the beading and tulle skirt" the one she thought made her legs look too short.
Was an absolutely breathtaking, glamorous wedding dress, perfect for an evening wedding... fit for a royal.
That was my favorite too!
What a great entourage--especially her father!
I have not been a Pnina Tournae fan, but seeing her interact with the clients has made me admire her very much. She is kind and considerate and always makes the client feel special. Takes quite a wonderful person to do that. Wish we could see the finished product on this one!
I agree I like her as a person.. not so much as a wedding dress designer! 🙂🙂🙂🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️💯💯💯
@@Michelle40398I agree and she seems like a sweet person but I don’t like her designs at all.
I felt i have seen gorgeous dresses going for even less than 2000
Mine had sparkle all over and was $2000
@@magicianmana4 it's all about the name 'pnina tornai' on the tag 🥴
Saving his combat pay for her wedding dress is seriously one of the most incredible things I've ever heard. 🧡
Awww, this was so sweet. It made me miss my dad who passed away 22 years ago. Wishing this family nothing but happiness.
You do know that this episode is around 12 or 13 years old, don't you? Girl has likely had 3 or 5 kids by now.
If she had opened herself to more possibilities than Pnina, I feel she could have gotten more bang for her buck. I think she limited her options in a store that is one of the biggest in the US.
you would think but i tried searching their website for dropped waist bling under $7k and got exactly one dress which wasn't even dropped waist, it was mermaid. kleinfeld is apparently now where you go to spend stupid amounts of money on blah dresses cause you get to be on TV.
She said she wanted Pnina and some people pay money for luxurious items. I know Pnina isn’t a brand that’s synonymous with Louis Vuitton, but some of women go in there asking for specifically Pnina or Mark Zunino dresses.
I’ve seen much nicer dresses for under 2,000. I honestly think she could have found something a lot more WOW for 10,000 dollars. People seem to lose all perspective when shopping for a wedding dress. The father could have sent them on the trip of a lifetime for all that money. She’d have looked gorgeous in whatever she wore.
I actually feel a little sorry for her new husband …. how will he be able to compete with such an insanely generous gift from her father. Will he ever be able to measure up ?
Hello Hilary
She wanted the brand because it’s a luxury item and brand name. A lot of people buy clothes and accessories because they have Balenciaga stamped on it. A lot of Pnina stuff is overrated and tacky, but she talks big game about her dresses and the amount of time that goes into each one.
I would expect a lot more for that kind of money. It really wasn't that pretty.
More expensive does not mean better.
She likes Pnina so just because that maybe her favorite designer means she should’ve picked elsewhat because you think that? I like all these judgments on this bride. When there’s other brides wants expensive and is like “ I get what I want” she valued her dad’s opinion too on the dress.
If someone wants to spend 100 on a dress and someone else wants 10k dress it’s their choice.
Me I paid for my own dress it was less than hers. If I was in her shoes I would’ve gotten a cheaper dress and took rest for home down payment or something else. But that’s me. She’s her. That’s not our choice. To each their own.
I got to wear my dress twice because of Covid. Who knows maybe she wear it again for vows or anniversary.
Hats off to great parents.... her dad.. man... every girl should be so lucky... she seems like a lovely girl... best of luck...
Such a sweet military dad . So loving , you don't see that's with a lot military dad, they are usually ruff and mean . Nice to see that he is different.
Why was that shop assistant so surprised that the man stood up to greet her?! That's what men are supposed to do, well behaved men, it has nothing to do with sexism, this means to have manners.
I THINK THE ASSISTANT WAS SURPRISED THAT THE MAN GOT
UP TO GREET HER BCAUSE
HE WAS AN ARMY MAN +MOST
PEOPLE FEEL THAT THEY
HAVE TO GET UP +GREET THEM
FIRST OUT OF RESPECT + POLITENESS BCAUSE SOME
PEOPLE CONSIDER THEM VERY
IMPORTANT +DESERVE
SPECIAL TREATMET TO A
CERTAIN EXTENT.
maybe because he's military so she figured if anyone should be standing it should be her? kind of like you wouldn't ask the president to stand up to greet you, you would stand to greet him.
Boomers did really teach manners up to this length for guys. I was taught to hold the door for people and a few other things, but standing up for women went out of style. I don’t know any guys that do that. So the cycle kept going to younger gens.
@@dietotakuBasic rules of etiquette would require a man (any man, no matter his position) to stand when a woman enters. This would be traditional etiquette, which I happen to agree with, but these days, I wouldn’t count on it! People don’t have the same respect for each other that they used to, and women, especially, have lost a lot of respect from men because of their lowered standards. In trying to be equal, they have diminished their dignity with coarse language and weak or nonexistent morals. I have watched this diminishment of women since the 1960’s, and although I didn’t see it at that time, in the past two or three decades it has become clear to me. One of the few advantages of aging: being able to draw conclusions based upon experience and hindsight.
Because they don’t stand up to greet her maybe that’s why or she didn’t expect that. Usually you don’t see many men like that anymore so I wouldn’t expect it either.
What a special dad. every girl should be so fortunate. Awww.....
We've seen many dresses with way more bling than that first one for WAY under $10,000!!
It's amazing to me that people spend so much money for a 1 day dress, never to be worn again.
Yeah I agree, but there is a lot of meaning and sentiment attached to it so I guess it's understandable
I'd wear it again if I spent that much... I'd walk around doing chores in it. Or I would sell or donate it, so someone else can wear an expensive dress.
Some people pay a lot of money to have 50 Birkin bags just to merchandise them on shelves in their closet. She paid to have the brand she wanted.

10000 budget and only expectation is bling. Is this the best they can do? I think they have much more variety and quality in 2-3.5 k range
Nope, another specification is a Pnina Tornai dress
I will never understand spending that kind of money on a one time dress.Mine cost $57 and we married 58 years ago.It was a beautiful dress in my eyes.I doubt my future husband even looked at it!!
I agree and I have seen very nice dresses for way way cheaper. It is the marriage that is important not the dress and wedding.

I love how the daughter said her father was a sergeant and then Randy calls him a Colonel.
She said surgeon, not sergeant. COL (ret.) Shriver was most definitely a Colonel and is an excellent surgeon.
It's probably the wrong timing, but I feel like something from Randy's collection would have been the all over sparkly she seemed to be asking for. Surprised by her choice, but hey, if she's happy with it!
I dont think Randy even had a collection back then... this video is old.

Cuz she said she wanted “Pnina.” Those dresses start at 5k and go up from there r and it’s an exclusive brand.
Agreed Pina are not that pretty
Pnina is ugly to me. I think Mark Zunino is way better.
Pnina is very expensive and ugly. Kind of like Gucci lmao.
Every girl should have a father like this. What a good man.

What a lovely dad!💗
This is an old video. I remember watching this on tv a few years ago.
What an amazing dad
What a wonderful father, that would save up money for his daughter's dress is so sweet & wonderful!! That's a Great Dad!!. She looked Gorgeous in it!! Congratulations to the Bride & Groom!!! 🙂🤍
He is wonderful but honestly she should have not let her dad pay so much for a dress she will only wear once. What a big waste as he traded his life for that money.
I wanna see her dress completed! This is just so sweet!
The dress cost seems a little insane to me, but it's up to her dad on that one. It seemed to be very important to them to have this special moment especially after the time he sacrificed during deployments. I'm sure having her dad there for picking out dresses made a big difference. (My dad was a disabled veteran and there's no way I could have had my dad dump that much into something I wore for one day. I'd rather use that kind of money on a downpayment on a house or something more lasting. My husband and one of my sons are veterans as well so I can respect the service her dad committed to. )
That was 10K? Sheeesh...
If that's the best Kleinfeld can do for $10,000, she needs to shop in another bridal store.
It's because she said she specifically wanted a Pnina Tornai dress
Yeah.
@@brellie763 which is stupid, because it's not like pnina does dresses no one else does (unless what you're looking for is gypsy stripper).
@@dietotaku yeah I honestly don't get brides who look for dresses only by a particular designer too. Why limit your options so much? Why does the designer matter at all if you love the dress?

There are so many other beautiful dresses that they have shown brides with lots of bling which were much less expensive than that…. It’s like buying a car give them a budget for a Mercedes and they are not going to show you Chevy
How can they have so much trouble finding something for 7 grand? Not a fan of this shop. Gok could have found something for half the price that was way more flattering.
I swear the dresses get uglier after $5000 😒
the dresses get uglier when you move to the pnina rack

he showed respect when we stood up he just knows how to respect people im glad he did that for his daughter
I don't know. I like a lot of Pnina's designs, but this didn't seem like a very unique dress to me. A blingy top, and a plain flowing bottom. That's not unique, at least I don't think it is. She's a lovely girl, and I'm glad she's happy. I hope she thanked her Dad profusely for paying more.
What a dad never had one she sure is lucky
i loved it when the dad said "She needs more Bling"
How can they not have a dress with enough bling with this much budget doesn’t make sense

The bridal dress costs have become ridiculous!! The money for a dress you’re going to wear once can be used as a down payment for a house. Only 20 years ago you could spend $1,000 and get a great dress!
Except this episode was from like 13 years ago, lol
I wish I had a dad like him
