That white chocolate dresses perfect 👏👏👏👏... But I guess a lot of people go to that store just to try on dresses, just say hey I tried on some dresses at Kleinfeld 😮💨 .
They didn't know they would have to buy the sample. They thought they could out down a down payment. But Randy said that the designer wasn't in business anymore, so she could only buy the dress that was already made. Sometimes paying attention during the video helps clear up any assumptions you may have. Just a thought.
That was a pretty unique dress. I think it looked fantastic on Sola, but it also looked heavy and they said the embroidery was mohair 😮 no good if she had a warm weather wedding & it was pretty clear the wedding wasn’t planned… she wasn’t expecting to ‘have’ to buy the dress on the day 🤷🏻♀️.
Commiting to a dress being made just means to put down a down payment. It doesn't mean that she would have to spend the entire amount that day. The designer wasn't in business anymore. That means a new dress could not be made because the pattern didn't exist anymore. That also means she would have to buy the sample and take it home that day. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't expect to put up ALL the money for a bridal gown the day I ordered it.
That was Pnina dress. It looked amazing on a bride who paneled see through part around waist and styled it wth 20's Gatsby hair piece and hair do, paired with satin pink heels. Nobody ever outclassed that bride's take on that Pnina dress - at least on the SYTTD show. It was vintage episode as well.
@@CanMoose Ikr? Watching this show, all we can see is being pushed are her see through, corseted, bling items I dubbed 'stripper fairy' style. However, once it's paneled and thus not transparent and properly styled, as mentioned bride did, that first dress looked lovely. Pnina has many dresses that are very different in style compared to what we usually see on the show. She knows how to make a dress to fit well. Even those gaudy ones have incredible construction which is why brides often opt for her gowns - especially if they need to be supported and cinched in right places.
They totally wanted to force the girl into buying a dress that no one wanted to purchase. They tought that she would buy it under the pressure of time. Good that she didn't give in, it was a very strange dress.
@@thehungrygoldfish Nah, she asked for it because it was scripted. You could see she didn't like it that much and that they manipulated her with a "one-time deal".
@ Except this isn’t the only dress they want to get rid of. There are racks and racks of them. If that were true, we would see this kind of thing more often. They hardly ever show sale dresses, unless the bride is on a time crunch and it’s never one specific dress. Usually when a bride asks for a specific dress, it’s full price and not on sale. I think this is literally the only time someone asked for a specific dress and it happened to be discontinued and on sale.
I think she intended to put in a deposit and purchase a dress. She wasn't ready to pay the whole price of the dress that day and pay additional luggage fees while returning home.
The first bride seemed to be there to just try and be in the shop. Didnt feel like they d buy it even if it was super cheap. She had come to see the dress and go wear a different one
The first dress on the first bride looked like a nightgown on her. The second dress was overpowering and detracted from how pretty she was. I think it was a show dress for the runway. The designers go over the top for runway shows, but some of those dresses are just unrealistic for a real bride. (I hated the collar and the cuffs!) I wonder if those two were just playing and not really looking for a dress?
I agree with everything you've said. That dress was very unique and would suit very specific person, both body and personality wise. It's dramatic and couture like. It takes diva chic attitude to pull it off without being overpowered by it, together with statuesque body - tall, slim with just bust size and great posture. The bride had the right personality for it, but her figure was too delicate for it. The dress was wearing her ultimately. I can see why it couldn't sell, being 12K originally, white chocolate color and with mohair lace. Debbie was right - very few brides would vibe with that dress, or they do, something else would be an issue - color, price tag, the fact that it didn't fit.
The problem was that she would’ve had to purchase and take the dress that day because it’s a sample dress. She didn’t realize it was no longer being produced. She’s coming from London. She can’t stuff the dress in her suitcase and shipping would be a fortune.
They never had the money to begin with. They wasted the staffs time. An ultimate 40%+ discount is fabulous for such a one of a kind avant garde Baroque gown. She knew what she wanted, the gown was in her budget but she was playing dress up and wasting the staffs time. If the gown was way under her budget then why didn’t she take it. She was playing bride.
Nope. She was not intending to buy a sample gown (with the entire amount of the cost). She thought she could order a gown and put down a deposit. But since the designer wasn't in business anymore, there could be no more orders and Kleinfeld had to sell all his dresses as samples.
No. She wanted to put down a deposit for a new gown. That was not possible anymore, since the designer stopped designing. Therefore, Kleinfeld had to sell the dress as a sample. That is why it was discounted but she would have to pay the entire amount.
I hate it when the consultants act like the bride is wasting their time. They are not paying the $6700 for a dress. The bride has to be sure that is the right dress!!
Ok to all the folks giving grief over the first couple not buying the dress right there: they hadn't planned on buying the dress right then. Usually you order it up and you are paying a percentage until it's all finalized. They have the budget, but they are doing other things and I'm sure their trip was expensive. They just don't have the free cash to purchase it right on the spot. Then they'd have to work out getting it home. They'd have to do that anyway, but we don't know what the rest of their trip entailed and they certainly can't take it back on the plane without paying bookoo bucks. They're going to have to mail it and I certainly would want to be there to receive it when it comes.
I mean… I get they are traveling and transferring money might be difficult but I find it very difficult someone else will be walking in asking for that dress in particular 😂 so them not being able to hold it doesn’t seem realistic. As well as she knew dog gone well she could have gotten that dress made while I feel like that’s what ended happening!! Came in to try it on to see if she liked it and then boom 😂😂
Why are you shopping for a dress when you don't have the money readily available to pay for it? Especially when you find the one you want. That's horrible to waste those sales peoples time.
There is a difference between paying for the whole amount on the same day and paying a small deposit and then completing payment for a dress or anything else. Also, while shopping for a dress women don't expect to buy that day and pay luggage fees for them. They expect to pay an amount and get it delivered to them.
I think that the first bride thought that by being on the show they'd give her the dress. There was another bride I saw once where she chose a dress way out of her families budget. Fam says yes. Randy tells them to think it over.
Too bad the firs bride didn't get that dress, it looked so good on her! The style isn't my cup of tea but on her it looked amazing especially with the netting/veil accessory. And the discount was really good
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I, for one, thought it looked stunning on her. But other people can think differently. Policing opinions is dangerous.
The first bride should have taken that dress. The dress was absolutely gorgeous on her. No other person could pull that dress off like she did. It was a shame that she didn’t come back for it. The budget was $10,000 and they brought the price down to $6,999. How could she pass that dress up. That’s a crime of fashion. It was within the budget I just don’t get it. This was a waste of time she should be ashamed of herself for not taking the dress.
I think the first bride came to look if she found one she probably thought she was going to get one off the showroom floor and usually it takes a couple months to get your dress so you can come and get measured and then they order you your dress, but you still have to put a deposit on that she liked so they can order it in the size that you are, which would’ve at least taken a good six months and that way she could’ve just put the deposit down and then came and back and pay for the rest of the dress when she came back for a fitting or to pick it up so she can take it home with her and get it altered in her country because I say six out of 10 are not really prepare to actually pay anything over five grand in one go so more than likely she probably took note of the designer, and since it was pretty much public knowledge on the television on which dress she’d like to seam or something similar and either got it made from a seamstress or actually purchased something similarshe has them took quite a few pictures
Other than the polkadot dress from a different episode that white chocolate dress has to be my all time favorite! I can't believe she didn't pick it! It was so dang unique I've never seen any wedding dress like it. If I had a good figure and the money I would go and buy that dress for my wedding next year. I'm not even joking! I want that dress!!
The first bride was beautiful and would look great in anything. I think they were just window shopping. And not ready to make a decision. Also I don’t think they could afford it. Even marked down
What this bride did is positively classless! She manages to get an appointment at Kleinfields, says her budget is 10k, KNOWING she does not have 10k or anything even NEAR 10k, and completely wastes everyone's time.
To be fair, she was traveling abroad and she just got engaged and did outright say that she wasn’t planning to buy a dress so soon. They hadn’t even settled on a location yet. It was actually a good time for her to look around.
It's not like they'll EVER sell that dress to anyone else. It's already reduced, the designer gave up, if they didn't sell it then it would have been binned. All the same, she loved it, it looked georgous.

why does no one in the comments understand that many cultures do not think its appropriate for a bride to wear a 'sample'? they have to wear something brand new that has not been on any one else's body. the part where the consultants and randy kept repeating 'I haven't seen it look that good on anyone else that's tried it on' was so cringe. imagine marrying your man, having your dream wedding and having to wear something that dozens of women have tried on? its gross. the dress is spiritually contaminated by other peoples energy. so its sacrilegious. My own wedding dress back in 1978 cost $300 dollars that's all i could afford as a 18 year old girl. I didnt live it but it was for one day. I still have it and both of my suster in laws wire it for their weddings.
The second bride looked gorgeous ❤
Sola ended up having a traditional Nigerian wedding in a traditional Nigerian dress and she looked amazing.
That woman is not genuine, nor is he. Listen how he spoke- i was a ladies man, seriously.
Just wasting valuable time to staff.
Besides who has that kind of money to pay up front. Not her or him.
Probably lives in social housing in the UK.
Australia
I’m sooooo annoyed with the first bride. Why would you go shopping for a dress without having the funds in place already?! Wasting everyone’s time. U came to play dress up ma’am. Very inconsiderate
To be fair, she was traveling abroad. She can’t stuff a 20 pound wedding dress into her suitcase. Yes, she was window shopping but in her case, I can’t fault her. Not in her home country. Wasn’t expecting to buy a dress right away. Just got engaged. First time dress shopping.
The first dress was amazing and the bride looked amazing in it. , it's a pity she didn't get it.
That white chocolate dresses perfect 👏👏👏👏... But I guess a lot of people go to that store just to try on dresses, just say hey I tried on some dresses at Kleinfeld 😮💨
.
The first bride…..❤ the dress on her……the vail set it off😊
What a beautiful girl and with her fiancé they make a good looking couple. The dress looks fabulous on her, wow!
Why have a price point that you can't afford?
The first couple was playing wedding-wedding. They were not going to buy a dress.
They didn't know they would have to buy the sample. They thought they could out down a down payment. But Randy said that the designer wasn't in business anymore, so she could only buy the dress that was already made.
Sometimes paying attention during the video helps clear up any assumptions you may have. Just a thought.
That dress is gorgeous on her! Made for her!
What a fantastic dress and she looks great in it!
Yes!!! This is the episode I've been looking for!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
I love that dress, it’s still my favorite one of all time.
Omg, mohair embroidered. This was just waiting for her. It’s beautiful.
No way did they talk her into trying this thing on. I’m so glad she left it there. She had such a gorgeous figure…
Except she told Debbie she wanted to try it on lol
yeah, lol, she asked for that specific dress...she rocked it
That was a beautiful dress she looked like a princess. ❤️
I have never seen mohair embroidery so will have to look that up. But, yes, mohair is very very warm.
if she wasn't ready to commit to a dress then she should have said so from the start.
She looked ok, but that dress was too busy.
@@catladyfromky4142 They definitely would have kept it for her with a deposit. I think they were second guessing how much they should spend on it.
I ended up buying the second wedding dress I tried on. I knew nothing could top it!
2:15 this dress looks like a night gown, no way it'll pass here or in Nigeria
That was Pnina dress. It looked amazing on a bride who paneled see through part around waist and styled it wth 20's Gatsby hair piece and hair do, paired with satin pink heels. Nobody ever outclassed that bride's take on that Pnina dress - at least on the SYTTD show. It was vintage episode as well.
@@blueice011Pnina's dresses usually do look like nightgowns or slips
@@CanMoose Ikr? Watching this show, all we can see is being pushed are her see through, corseted, bling items I dubbed 'stripper fairy' style. However, once it's paneled and thus not transparent and properly styled, as mentioned bride did, that first dress looked lovely. Pnina has many dresses that are very different in style compared to what we usually see on the show. She knows how to make a dress to fit well. Even those gaudy ones have incredible construction which is why brides often opt for her gowns - especially if they need to be supported and cinched in right places.
I was thinking the same thing. That first dress was a negative. Pretty but not for a Nigerian wedding.
They totally wanted to force the girl into buying a dress that no one wanted to purchase. They tought that she would buy it under the pressure of time. Good that she didn't give in, it was a very strange dress.
You’re forgetting that she specifically asked for that dress.
The first bride had no intention of purchasing a $10,000 dress!!! She just wanted to try on the dress. Wasting everyone's time.
I think she intended to put in a deposit and purchase a dress. She wasn't ready to pay the whole price of the dress that day and pay additional luggage fees while returning home.
Oh my goodness, they both are gorgeous people
The first bride seemed to be there to just try and be in the shop.
To be fair, they were on vacation abroad. It was clear that they were just looking, and that’s OK.
I'm so confused, she flies to NY all the way from London knowing exactly what she wanted, only to leave without the exact dress she wanted?
Girl from London wasn’t ready to purchase, she didn’t have a date or, a definite location, she was just playing dress up!
No. She wanted to put down a deposit for a new gown. That was not possible anymore, since the designer stopped designing. Therefore, Kleinfeld had to sell the dress as a sample. That is why it was discounted but she would have to pay the entire amount.
If I am playing dress up i will pretend I dont like the dress and go home and not saying “this is the one”
@@asahihamada6565 absolutely playing dress up! Set the budget at $10,000 but didn’t have $9,000 to buy the one?? Please!
I hate it when the consultants act like the bride is wasting their time. They are not paying the $6700 for a dress. The bride has to be sure that is the right dress!!
She's so beautiful in that dress
That one of a kind dress would have been PERFECT for a Harry Potter theme wedding!
They're going to have to mail it and I certainly would want to be there to receive it when it comes.
wow! she looked regal and fashion forward!
The first brides budget is up to $10000.00 and you bring out a nightgown as the first dress?
I mean… I get they are traveling and transferring money might be difficult but I find it very difficult someone else will be walking in asking for that dress in particular 😂 so them not being able to hold it doesn’t seem realistic. As well as she knew dog gone well she could have gotten that dress made while I feel like that’s what ended happening!! Came in to try it on to see if she liked it and then boom 😂😂
That was such a unique dress
Why are you shopping for a dress when you don't have the money readily available to pay for it? Especially when you find the one you want. That's horrible to waste those sales peoples time.
There is a difference between paying for the whole amount on the same day and paying a small deposit and then completing payment for a dress or anything else. Also, while shopping for a dress women don't expect to buy that day and pay luggage fees for them. They expect to pay an amount and get it delivered to them.
Bride number two has her father’s eyes.
And the discount was really good
I don't think they were honest about the budget
Lots of dresses look terrible on some brides…but snarky comments here are just unkind
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I, for one, thought it looked stunning on her. But other people can think differently. Policing opinions is dangerous.
The Nigerian bride did herself a favour not buying that second dress.it was horrible thank goodness theres only one,and thats one too many.
She'd look good in any dress
😊
The first bride was playing dress up.
Nigerian weddings are breathtakingly beautiful!!
The Nigerian bride is stunning. Stu. Nning!
Even marked down
Wow! Such an unusual dress but perfect
For her! Oh well I hope she found another one
I love your flower tie Randy ❤
It's not like they'll EVER sell that dress to anyone else. It's already reduced, the designer gave up, if they didn't sell it then it would have been binned. All the same, she loved it, it looked georgous.
Let’s take a moment to acknowledge the editor who did the first bride for the show. They said $10,000 and the editor managed to not show us the fiancé’s full face! Well done.
huh? you definitely see the fiance's full face. he was there for the entire appointment.
@@dietotaku watch again, the editing is brilliant. Whoever did it was good. It’s smooth, the cuts are there. Perhaps I should have typed that it wasn’t a full reaction.
…you literally see his full face at 0:17
@@emilyjameson5820 I am referring to what’s been edited OUT. The full reaction. If you are not able to understand that you are seeing snippets, not a full reaction, I can’t be any more helpful. If you want to argue it, I’m not the one.
That's Lady Danbury ah look
LMAO SO TRUE
Maybe she needed to try it. Perhaps she saw it listed somewhere but didn't want to order without trying it on.
I hate when they bring the fiancé, I guess Im old fashioned but seeing the bride for the first time as she comes down the aisle is priceless.
Former bride who tried on the dress and is watching the show at home, Randy says his thing about no one looking as beautiful in it.
🤔🤬
Freaking LOVE IT! Very London. Very Jack the Ripper. ❤
That first one of a kind dress was weird but the more I looked at it the more I loved it
I would totally consider that dress. I think I would mod it just a bit, but I'd love to pull it off!
why does no one in the comments understand that many cultures do not think its appropriate for a bride to wear a 'sample'? they have to wear something brand new that has not been on any one else's body. the part where the consultants and randy kept repeating 'I haven't seen it look that good on anyone else that's tried it on' was so cringe. imagine marrying your man, having your dream wedding and having to wear something that dozens of women have tried on? its gross. the dress is spiritually contaminated by other peoples energy. so its sacrilegious.
If the designer was still making that dress and she could order it brand new, shipped to her in London it would have been a different equation and a different conversation.
Please expand your minds and stop belittling the woman and her fiancé for taking a decision of their choice rather than being pressured into paying for a sample. Never let your wedding dress be the result of FOMO.
She's an elegant queen and Im sure she found the perfect dress when the timing was right.
I think she is just messing around
Right. She was not going to buy anything. She's just playing dress up.
Why do you say you have a $10000 budget but don't have $10000? Playing dress up on TV.
They were mad about bringing the fiance in other episode, but they are so happy about this one lol. Are these all fake?😭
