I feel like I'll do both. First go shopping by myself and then dress up with my friends and mom there. Because there is no way I could be focused on finding a dress with all that going on
Years ago, my mother, who was in her early 80s at the time, was cleaning her closet. She took down the box with her wedding gown and satin, open toed slippers that she got to match the dress. My parents married in 1949, and everyone in town who heard about her wedding gown turned out to see that dress. My mother chose an "ice blue" gown with long sleeves, a button back, and then a scooped neck with some type of netting (? not sure what to call it) around the top. She also had a matching veil. The gown was satin---popular at the time. The church was so crowded that the photographer had trouble getting into the church to take photos!!! My mother felt bad that no one in the family wanted her "ice blue" gown----everyone thought she was "compromised" because she didn't wear white. The dress sat there in that original box, and I decided to find a new home for that gown. My mother ended up donating the gown and shoes to Brides With/For Breast Cancer. The gown went into their collection that traveled around the country. We were happy that the dress was put to use for a wonderful cause. My mother didn't spend a fortune on that dress that these brides do today, but she looked lovely in that "ice blue" gown. It was a hard sell for my grandmother and the family to accept that my mother wasn't going to wear white, but my mother was determined that THAT dress was the one for her. She never looked back.
What a beautiful sounding dress. And what an amazing mother you have. Blue is my favorite color and my boyfriend's favorite color. I like royal blue and he likes light/sky blue. Light/sky blue will definitely be one of our colors and that dress your mother wore would be perfect for me. I wish I knew you guys personally I would've happily bought it off of you. An ice blue dress would definitely separate me from other brides and I would really feel like myself.
The dress was gorgeous the second time, I didn't like how the dress was made, straight plain white gown, but the embellishments and sparkles added to it gave a beautiful flaring touch. Simply beautiful
Once Mark put the skirt/flounce part on the dress, I loved the dress, but I got scared when he snipped the bottom. She seemed like she liked it as a long dress for the reception, but Mark was just going with his vision I guess. Sometimes when you buy something, you and someone is adjusting it or altering, it can feel like it is out of your hands.
I feel like she’s a chronic people pleaser. Not good if you’re getting something custom. You know what it’s called when a designer does whatever the heck they want and you take it or leave it? Off the rack.
@@GadereneLegion Based on one incident of being bamboozled in the alterations of her gown, she is diagnosed as a "chronic people pleaser." She didn't have a chance to say "no." The designer didn't give her the space for that option. Also, men are socialized to make decisions for women. He simply fell into a patriarchal role and didn't give her the opportunity to mull it over. Dominant white culture does the same thing with people of color.
The First bride looked stunning in her second dress, it was nice and I have to say I also dislike the back, but that detail is forgettable watching the front of the dress. Respecting the second, I feel you sis ☹️ I know exactly what is breaking a zipper, I cried because I couldn't believe it, I'm slim and still I did that in a blouse. But what made me surprised was watching the bride had worn Zunino custom dresses before, the designer knew her size perfectly. He offered adjustments and the pink dress was great but the shock in the girl was so evident. Edit: I rewatch the entire thing and I can't believe the assistant was actually the one that broke the dress and had the nerve to let the bride feel bad and embarrassed for that 🤯
The assistant wasn't holding the bottom of the zipper to keep the zipper straight, which allowed the zipper to "hump up." Even a loose fitting garment can do that, so you have to hold the zipper down on the bottom for the zipper to zip up. Yes, the dress was snug, but it wasn't *that* snug. No zipper will go past a hump, but the assistant tried to force it and broke it. Even a jeans zipper will balk if you don't make sure it's straight when you try to zip it up. I learned that some time before 2nd grade.
Right and that's sad. Those dresses are NOT worth the cost. I do like some, so I'm not dissing her like most do. But she is just overpriced like crazy.
Making a dress so tight that you need to force the zipper to close it, it's good the zipper broke so the bride will get a dress she actually can sit down in
1st dress looked like a forty quid dress from the market 2nd dress, absolutely gorgeous 2nd bride, beautiful dress, stunning. Two beautiful brides. Both look stunning and come across as lovely people.
I find that if you lose under 80 lbs and you're still young-ish, there's less loose skin. She also seems to have lost it in a good amount of time and probably also did strength training. If you lose more, you might end up with some loose skin, or if you do it too fast. I lost almost 120 lbs in my late 20s, but it took me almost 2 years, and my skin isn't bad at all. I did weight lifting along with cardio and my arms and legs look good, but I couldn't avoid a flabby lower belly pouch. I did try to focus on the areas more prone to loose skin, like the inner thighs, tricep area, and belly.
Broken zippers are super common on floor dresses. Alterations gets dozens of dresses with things to fix a week, at least 😆. They always get sooo dramatic about alterations 😆🤦🏻♀️
That "custom" dress didn't fit. It was cut way too small! There was no skirt and no shape. Who measured? Who cut the pattern and who OK ed this as finished? Mr Zunino certainly didn't touch it! I think he was appalled when he saw it and very quickly destroyed the evidence of this mistake by cutting out the back.
Both brides are so beautiful. Stunning result int he blush sketch Love it and it transformation! And that is the best Pnina dress of all. Classic and just the right princess and form.
Regarding the first bride, I agree with the mother that thr corset in the back looks more like lingerie, another one with wider ties would have looked much more fitting, but other than that that's the first pnina dress I actually like 😂 and it fitted the bride perfectly. Also the second dress was so beautiful after the desinger came in and put it together! :)
The general comments on here are that the fitter broke the zip, however, I think it is actually that the dress is way too small and that the workmanship is shoddy in the first place as you can see that the lining/zip area has completely come unstitched, the dress also is nothing like the sketch, maybe they changed it afterward.
I was so uncomfortable when he just grabbed and held onto her but for so long. That’s totally unnecessary and inappropriate! It would be one thing to touch the part of the dress for a moment but he just held her but for no reason! Watching him work his magic and create a dress in the moment was incredible but that weirded me out. Also That woman yanked on the zipper and didn’t even bring out her entire dress or have someone helping her old it while trying to zip. What kind of place are they running?! Red flags everywhere
The zipper on my wedding gown broke when I had my portrait taken (2 months before the wedding). The dresser just got to enthusiastic about the zipper. Thankfully it was replaced in time for the wedding.
My daughter's bustle busted right before her father/daughter dance at her reception. She ended up having to carry the train during the dance then went to the bathroom afterwards with a few friends who tried to fix it. They were able to do so but during the process of it busting it tore off the two bottom buttons on her dress which in turn put a tiny tear in her dress where the bustle was supposed to be. It can be fixed thankfully.
The seamstress should have know it was going to bust since there was no give left in the fabric even when she pressed her hips in. It's the seamstress who broke it by forcing it.
I'm confused. The sketch had a whole lotta dress flaring out at the bottom, but the actual pink & white dress is straight and very plain....?? Edit: ok, so he added tulle, but it looked weird.
@@kimyoonmisurnamefirst7061 Yes but the sketch he drew was all one dress and it was fish tail. The finished dress with extra over skirt looked nothing like the design.
I agree with the mom. I really don't like corset backs. They're not as pretty as buttons down the back or an open back. But mom said the right thing when she saw how much her daughter loved it.
This is exactly the Cinderella moment again when the Bride puts on the pink dress and it gets broken.... lol then her fairy godmother comes and makes her magical dress love
I don't know why they don't design these wedding dresses with some GIVE in them. If this dress won't zip up, she is definitely not going to be able to SIT in it. Looking at a side view, it is too tight and there needs to be an adjustment. At 4:41 you can see that it is TOO TIGHT across the hips, as it pulls at the front of the crotch as well as under the rear. Very unflattering, and she is a slender woman. The zipper is very long, and the fabric has zero give. In my opinion, this should have been a SIDE ZIP and the seams should have been sewn with a seam allowance and with a stretch stitch. I like the idea of a cocktail dress with the tulle layer over it, but I don't understand the final product. Did they ditch the cocktail dress idea? Anyway, the bride is feels gorgeous and happy, that's what counts I guess.

Girllll I'd be proud it just means you got Cake🤣 and omg the pink though I kinda hate that I love it!!💜😂
The general comments on here are that the fitter broke the zip, however, I think it is actually that the dress is way too small and that the workmanship is shoddy in the first place as you can see that the lining/zip area has completely come unstitched, the dress also is nothing like the sketch, maybe they changed it afterward.
The corset needs ribbon instead of shoe lace’s
That custom dress is so beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍😍
The dress looked so pretty after! Imagine having a real designer there and recreating your dress for you! How cool 😊
The title is really mean. Do better, SYTTD youtube team. It is attention seeking and incorrect and mean.
seeing kevin jonas was a jumpscare
last person you would expect to be on this kind of show
🙄
God Bless Mark Zunino`s gift. Now that is a true designer.
So confused as to why this was titled “bride BREAKS her gown” when she so clearly did not??? The dress wasn’t even finished when she tried it on…
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT THE ASSISTANT BROKE IT
dress #1 was fabulous 😍😍!!
The dress breaking is not her fault! Amd the dress is beautiful!😍
The seamstress should have know it was going to bust since there was no give left in the fabric even when she pressed her hips in. It's the seamstress who broke it by forcing it.
Stop blaming the Assistant. The one in charge of the title aimed for the click-bait.
Dang, the seam”stress” was SO VERY GENTLE as a boxer trying to knock out his opponent!
Le clienti danno un budget alto, e nonostante tutto, gli assistenti, vanno sempre a trovare abiti che costano di più
No, the consultant breaks the bride's dress.
Oh that pink dress, just dreamy❤
That "custom made" dress looks NOTHING like the sketch and certainly does NOT look like with 8k! Omg!
I'd be pissed
That's it it's Amy time 😂😂😂😂
Bride didnt break it, the fitting agent did
Excellent demo!!!! 100%❤❤
Such a sweet bride
You're just gonna throw in the fact that the best friend is married to Kevin Jonas and not mention it 😂
So?---Who's-"Kevin-Jonas"?---Never-heard-of-him.
That pink dress didn’t look like the sketch. Too tight too.
I'm confused. The sketch had a whole lotta dress flaring out at the bottom, but the actual pink & white dress is straight and very plain....??
Edit: ok, so he added tulle, but it looked weird.
I agree, the sketch looked entirely different from the dress she got. The sketch looked kind of fish tail not a skirt.
There is an over skirt.
@@kimyoonmisurnamefirst7061 Yes but the sketch he drew was all one dress and it was fish tail. The finished dress with extra over skirt looked nothing like the design.
Kevin and Danielle Jonas are ❤️
I think the corset back was gorgeous 🤷♀ I thought it was really feminine and elegant and sexy
BeaUtiful bride & dress. The corset could use wider ribbon to soften it up.
Whoops..quality??? Shouldn't have happened.
That woman should never be allowed to zip another dress again
That dress doesn't look like the sketch at all
I don't know why they don't design these wedding dresses with some GIVE in them.
Danielle!!!❤
Dress behind her @ 0:40 😃
That zip was not the fitting consultants fault. The dress was too tight and the zip popped under the actually zipper. Happens.
The back looks like a tennis shoe lace.
The facelift on that man! EEEEK!!!
The seamstress is a professional. The zipper was crap. That’s all
I absolutely agree!! My Mom was a seamstress!!!
Why is it titled “bride broke her dress”? 😂😂 she stood there and the other lady broke it, trying to force a zipper up
