my multimeters show 1 when turned on and drop to almost 0 resistance when i touch the probes together but when i test the mirrors the reading stays 1 and doesn’t react at all…guessing i need a pair of new mirrors? i have error code 9cc3 and 9cc4
I've got a similar issue - both mirrors do not work in terms of heating. Everything aside is perfect, they fold etc. I measured them and it says 8.2ohm for both. The fuses are okay, however, I cannot get any reading from those connectors that go into the back of the mirrors :/ Measurement always indicates 0V.
It depends what type of mirror. Some are controlled via lin bus. If you open the door harness connectors at the A pillars and check for corrosion on the pins and fault code memory for possible lin bus fault codes
@@allmech_BMW_fault_finding Will do, thanks! The errors I'm getting are 9CC3 & 9CC4. Just to double-check, the cables are directly under the A-pillar cover?
@mcr8858 The door connects to the A pillar with the flexible harness. It is held to the A pillar with a waterproofed cover held by an 8mm bolt. Once it is removed you will find the harness connector inside and in the bottom corner usually is a nice green corroded LIN pin. 9cc3 or 9cba are usually present when LIN is faulty but without seeing the car...
Nice work mate, valuable information for people to resolve this issue 👏👏
Top work work as always 👌💪👍

You need new. Open circuit in mirrors.
