I was the 2:20 pacer and spotted you on the 2nd lap! Had no idea you lived around the area. The hills definitely caught a lot of people out. I ran a consistent pace and ended up passing loads of people on the hills back up to the stadium!
Thanks and great job James, you must have a good half marathon PR to be doing pacer duties, and maintaining that Pace up hill 😃 I don't live in gateshead, but I run the Quayside every week, couldn't train without it.
@@RunThePlanet I've never visited it. Just seen it from a distance when doing the GNR in 2005. We did the Gateshead parkrun the other year. Very hilly.
Thanks John, yeah considering my condition I don't think I could have run it any better. Did you run this one or thinking of running it in the future ?
That was nice of you to allow them to use your roads for the race Matt.😂 Always nice to do local events. I think you mentioned a half marathon your aiming to do well in coming up soon. Are you going to share your post marathon race plans yet?
Haha, it was nice 😂 I will share soon, there are others coming up, just not all organised so I'll hold on for a while. Just having a bit of recovery too for now
@@RunThePlanet yeah you’ll need that. I’m 3 weeks out now from marathon. Thanks for your comment on my 10k. I was shocked to do it that quick. My confidence is building.
@@kennyosborne5835 your becoming a legend Kenny !! You don't need to go sub3 at your first attempt, it's better to finish the first one, but the indicators are there for an easy sub3 !! Looking forward to see how you do
Thanks Lorraine 😃 it's great to run our home races. This and the GNR, we've got a good couple races up north, one spring, on autumn. Did you race gateshead this year?

Familiar scences there from your other Vlogs. Great history in that stadium from the days of Ovett, Coe and Cram.
Thanks, have you done a bit of running up at the stadium recently or a while ago?

Beautiful British weather to run marathon.
Thank you Patric, just right to keep us cool but heavy rain to weigh us down too much 😂 Did you run? How did you do?
Love it that you did the extra lap!
Haha 😂 Thanks Mark, I've now had 2 races where the gopro stopped crossing the line. Really I should have changed the battery on route.
Well done mate a solid run

Congratulations. Best wishes on the next.
Thanks RFR !! Good luck for you too!

Recognise this route from your videos and I'm originally from Gateshead too

@@RunThePlanet I've never done Gateshead Half, I'm based in south Wales now. I'm doing the GNR again this year and have Bristol Half this weekend.
@@lorrainedavies8778 good luck at Bristol, I'll be doing GNR too, if you see me say hello !
@@RunThePlanet thank you, will do!
