Was never a big boss pedal guy but the od200 is a godsend. If you get used to tinkering with it there pretty much isn’t a sound you can’t replicate. Ive bought a lot of pedals based off you tube videos and when the pedal arrived it just couldn’t do what I wanted, the od200 gives me the sounds I want and more. Not too into the fuzz so I have a seperate pedal for that but if you want rock or especially metal tones this thing is phenomenal. Was very pleased with the gate because up to this point I’ve been using a behringer. Watch videos like this and it will all but erase the kind of steep learning curve you have when you start, the boss manual is shit.

For anyone reading this. I have the od200 and dd500. .. all I'm going to say is trying to remember all those abbreviations in the od 200 window is a real pain. The dd500 on the other hand is a snap to put sounds and patches together. I make my own reverb with it. And with the shimmer it does octaves. Using these with a md500 and Boss es5. Just 3 peddles and a midi controller and it works great. I also have a full analog board. And compared to the Boss it is somewhat limited. But you could say easier to program.

Nice review as always. I just received the DD-8, probably should've paid the extra money for a 200, but it's a good one. Do you guys have a favorite PT2399 based delay?
Good explanation, nobody explained how the extra functions work that I know of besides you guys. I wish they made stacking easier, especially doing (parallel,pre,post) I know it has all 3 modes.
I got a question, do know a way to turn the delay looper volume up and down? This has been my only complaint with the DD-200 so far, I even sold my DD-500.
Can the expression be set to switch the pedal on when leaving the toe position?
the od200 is a cool pedal for sure. But for the life of me I can't enjoy Boss dirt pedals.
That delay, on the other hand is just my thing
I'm kinda the same...I love Boss modulation and delays and pretty much everything other than their drives...on guitar anyways

We have been talking about it for ages...I just filmed a little video running my Mother 32 through a Zoom G1XFour which was fun...I have to watch it back to see if it's any good - but yes we are planning on doing fortnightly synth with Pedals videos as of next year
