@@tdubbed_ Boss has loaded the DD-200 with some wonderful algorithms, they are all so musical. I normally don't use delays that lend themselves to a more ambient style of music but I have to say the shimmer and pad delays are amazing. Love the more familiar (to me at least) analog and dual delays. In my search for the perfect echo I purchased a Strymon Volante and for "magnetic" echo settings it's beautiful. It also seems Strymon has mastered the art of midi with their pedals something I wish Boss would do better. But Volante is an enormous thing for my live board and based on what I've heard from the DD-200, along with its expanded repertoire of delays, it will likely replace the Volante. Have fun with yours and please let us know what you think once you've had a chance to spend some time with it.

When i bought the DD-200 in December, largely off of Leon's demos, i thought the reverse mode was going to be a gimmick. But, hot damn-there's some inspiring stuff just in this clip. I'm going to be working with that this weekend. Leon, you are a jewel. From breaking down the Amplifire and this thing alone. When i win the Lotto, i'm flying you out to NAMM just so i can buy you a pint or six.

I wish you’d paint the selector indicator lines on the delay knob. I can’t tell at a glance what setting you’re on. I’m very interested in the swirl function, but if I miss where you said you’re setting the knob I simply can’t tell by viewing. The glare blocks out that thin indicator they use from the factory. Maybe a chicken head knob might be a worthy modification.
4:06 is where the hold function demo begins. It's not very much like the dd-6 hold for all you MXBX/Tera Melos fans out there but more like an ehx freeze. So more ambient than glitchy.
@@nicholasvicario hey, I worked it out! Press the tap division and memory button together. Scroll using the ‘Time’ button and when it gets to NFC push the time button in. From there, you’ll access the twist, warp, hold options. When you’ve chosen the one you want, press the tap division and memory button to go back out of the menu. I haven’t quite figured out how to save different functions to saved presets yet. It looks like once youve selected one it applies to all of them. Let me know if you find that out!
Not on the actual piece of hardware what I do is I turn my instrument down maybe to about half and with guitars and bass half way as to not kill the tone that I'm working on or to preserve the sound I have and then just play through it at Max volume. A volume pedal can also come in handy.
I have seen may videos about DD200 and DD500 and nobody talks about changing delays or changing presets, I want to know what happen if you play with one nice ambient shimmering sweet long delay and you need to change to another patch or presser or change your memory bank to another one either pressing the switch or via MIDI. Does your last ambient shimmering sweet long delay still there until vanish with the delay decay and mix your sound with the new patch, or that delay cuts abruptly off and is replaced with the new delay?? I guess it is called carryover.
When using the looper, I have noticed that when the loop is played back it is significantly louder than the guitar volume when recorded. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.
Man I’ve got 1 of these coming to me this Saturday. I can’t wait! Been using a flashback for years and finally decided to upgrade I really hope this works out better for me with better sounds. How the hell do you get to the actual looper? So you can actually use the delays while you loop as well? That loop jam with the drum delay was so bad ass man!
Interesting. These delay options sound, surprisingly, so much more musical than its supposed big brother, the DD 500. That model sounded competent but sterile by comparison. Not to mention the endless ‘Wallpapering the hallway through the letterbox’ menu surfing like a late ‘80’s/early ‘90’s digital synth. The DD 200 feels/sounds like an improvement in the musicality of sound and immediacy of use. Less happy that this model is made in Malaysia though. Anyone notice any quality control issues?

Is the external switch you are using NO or NC?
If you assing Wrap or Twist function to Memory/tap switch, you can still change the memort banks? Or you have to choose ?
I know its been a few years but can the hold function be set to latch instead of momentary?

My FS-6 is self oscillating the warp/twist features but won’t turn off when I let go of the momentary switch. What’s up?
could you add a 4 button footswitch - two for scrolling presets , one with time based effect (1/8th...) and one with warp or twist?

I guess it is called carryover.
I think you can switch the legal to buffer bypass and then you can leave the tail of the delay intact when you switch to another pedal.

Does the warp twist function only work with a foot controller , also have your had any issues with the Lofi mode ?
You can assign warp etc to the on board footswitch

They’re updating the firmware soon which is enabling more slots. It was on the Boss Facebook page.

You can leave it in overdub and keep layering as many parts as you want.
question: given that you have an AxeFX III do you use other pedals or does the fractal cover your needs either in studio or live use?
I have pedals for fun and for inspiration, although everything I do live and 95% of what I record is Axe-Fx
