I agree about the sulfate shampoos. I was using a sulfate free shampoo for a very long time and my hair was flat and the curls were droopy and I just couldn't figure out what was wrong until one day I used my husband's shampoo and instantly my hair was better. Then I discovered the notion of shampooing twice. Game changer. Clearly I had product buildup that non sulfate shampoos didn't remove.
Agreed double cleanse for me with most shampoos seems to work so much better and a bonus that usually you can use much less the second cleanse (at least for me after first cleanse and I emulsify it first). I have the Morrocan Oil shampoo on my to try list. Great video!
When using sulfate free shampoos, use a clarifying shampoo every 2-3 weeks. This will remove product buildup, hard water buildup etc. I find doing it this way my hair stays healthier.
You use so many products and seem to love so most of them. Your hair is perfect every time. How do you decide which ones to use? I am fairly new to your channel thanks to my daughters. …one with curly hair and one with wavy and mine is in between.
Yay, I’m glad your daughter sent you my way! I tried different products so we can all see what works and what doesn’t. A lot of them I like, some of them I don’t. If you’re just starting your journey, let me first suggest Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpt. It’s actually my second favorite curl product. It is amazing and gives great results. All of their products are pretty wonderful. Also, you can return them if you don’t like them. Most of the time they sold at Walgreens. Which is also awesome if you’re out of town and you run out of something. My favorite products are the Innersense line. I just did a video about that here: ua-cam.com/video/5fnDs6YsQcE/v-deo.htmlsi=MLXu7F5Tx-8Bh9VL They offer 2 ounce samples so you can get them and try them and see what you think. I’m working on a website, but I also work full-time so it’s hard to do all the things. But I would love to have on my website what I think of each product so it would be easy to go through and find what it is you think would work best for you. Speaking of that, what are you looking for in a product? I can help point you in the right direction. If you want you can send me an email at undeniablylenora@gmail.com. Thank you!
I purchased "Beyond the Zone" curly hair products, called "Noodle Head" they were good, but not the best. They come in bright orange containers with purple lettering. I still LOVE my "Cake" products for curly hair. I'd love to see you try the Beyond the Zone products if you can. Thanks for another great video girly.❤
I remember you mentioning that before! I will look into it. I want to try the cake products again. The video that I did said I loved them but I don’t remember actually loving them! 🤣🤣🤣 But I think it was my shampoo.
The only reason I stay away from sulfates is because I'm allergic. But many of the sulfate free shampoos I have tried lather just as well. But my hair is baby fine, so maybe that's why. I'm so thankful for your videos because they're overflowing with joy and valuable information!! God bless you ❤
I need to get more Treluxe! I loved the hi def gel, but didn’t try them together and your hair looks amazing with both! The fragrance is strong though on the gel so I will try fragrance free next time. Hopefully the formula is the same otherwise.
Your curls look great! I have used the baby bliss pro hairdryer for over 25years. I have been using the fairy tales curly-Q hydrating shampoo, not sure if it’s too hydrating for my fine curly hair.
I have a Babyliss at the salon and have used it forever also! I also have a Gamma + at the salon. I kill hairdryers so I have to have a backup. If your hair is doing great with your shampoo, then I would stick with it. What products do you use?
I'm so glad to find someone else who leaves a little regular conditioner in after i wash my hair! When i told a friend that I do that she was like eww why? Coarse wavy hair...that's why 😅. And thank goodness you are not a cgm cult member!
My hair is more of a wave and not so much a curl. It has become like this in the last 4 or 5 years. At least that’s when I noticed the change to it. Not sure why although that’s about the time I started going through perimenopause. I really have no idea how best to style my hair to get the most wave in it. I’ve watched a couple of your videos and tried to do what you’ve shown but with a few products I have on hand but I guess my questions are, would I do everything you do from leaving conditioner in, the way you apply the products and drying since my hair is fine textured and has the waves. Also would you recommend different products for my type of hair to get the best results?
Absolutely… Sort of… you can use the same products, but less. Much less. I tell lots of clients to use a green peas worth of certain things. Or a dimes worth. And instead of leaving in a heavy conditioner, you could spray in a detangler or a light conditioner. Also, consider trying Pantene soft curls shaping mousse amzn.to/3THg8at Pantene flexible waves and curl gel amzn.to/43LS6Qb If you buy them from Walgreens and save the receipt or if you get them from Amazon, you can return these if you don’t like them. I think they would be great in your hair. Make sure your hair is wet enough when you apply the products. If it starts to dry out, spray some water on. It doesn’t need to be dripping but it needs to squish. Let me know how it goes! 🥰 FTC Disclaimer: the links above are affiliated which means I make a small commission from your purchase. Ok. I just got my products in the mail and I’m gonna go for it. But it didn’t come with instructions 😂 i’ll let you know how it turns out. I do have a question though. Do you use heat protectant because I don’t see that step thanks. Do you use heat protectant? I have one from TRUSS beach waves love it. I have highs and low lights.
Hi! I do not use a separate heat protectant. I’m not putting a lot of heat on my hair when I wear it curly. I do use Simply Smooth Magic Potion as a heat protectant on my clients and when I wet my hair blown out.

I have to agree about the sulfates. Several yrs back when the CGM came out heavy on UA-cam, every influencer preached about no sulfates and silicones. 2 sperate times I tried the method. And let me just say for over a yr I had more bad hair days than good. I wasted so much money on the "approved" products and felt frustration with every wash. I decided to throw in the towel and go back to my old method. regular products, sulfates, silicones and all and have had better and more consistent wash days.
Great question! I googled it. Google says: Hair porosity refers to how well hair absorbs and retains moisture. It's determined by the openness of the hair cuticles, which are like shingles on the side of a roof. Cuticles open to absorb moisture and close to seal it in. * Drop a strand of hair in water After washing and drying your hair, drop a strand of hair into a glass of water. If the strand floats, your hair has low porosity. If it sinks, your hair has high porosity. If it floats in the middle, your hair has medium porosity. * Feel your hair Run your finger down a strand of hair. Low porosity hair feels smooth, while high porosity hair feels rough and bumpy. * Spray water on your hair Spray some water on a strand of hair and observe what happens. If the water forms droplets on the surface, your hair has low porosity. If the water sinks in easily, your hair has medium porosity. If the water sinks in immediately, your hair has high porosity. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions. 🥰
