SPEED UP LABOR with these 5 Asymmetrical Positions
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 лип 2021
- There are 5 asymmetrical positions that can change the pelvic inlet and outlet which can speed up labor. The positions are easy to do and many can be done when laboring at home or at the hospital. I recommend trying out these asymmetrical positions before labor starts so that you will have them ready to go when you go into labor.

I recommending saving this video to reference in labor!
It works!! I did these during early and the first part of active labor while at home (second baby). That Captain Morgan position took me from "I think I can labor an hour more at home" to "we're going to the hospital now"! I arrived at the hospital at 6 cm and baby was born 1.5 hours later 😆 I also followed the advise of changing positions frequently and loved the labor positions video. Thanks for all the videos and advise, it definitely helped me achieve my goal of an unmedicated labor!
Yay!!!!!! Laura you did it!!! I love that you met your goal. ❤️❤️❤️
As always, another great and informative video
Glad you think so! I appreciate your support!
Great video and channel! Definitely learned some new moves🤗! Thanks for sharing ❤️!
Awesome! Thank you! I'd love to have you as a subscriber if you aren't yet. 😀
So informative! I love the Left, Right, Left at the end!
I thought it was fun!
Oo some new moves to try! thank you!
Yes! These are fun ones.
Thank you for these positions.
Glad you liked them! ❤️
THESE ARE PERFECT!!!!! I go over each of these with my clients, and you demonstrated them so well!
Thank you!! Don’t you love these positions.
Love the visuals and I will add these positions to my recommendations!!
Great!!
Great ideas to utilize for next time!
Glad it was helpful!
Asymmetrical movements are SO helpful in labor!
Yes they are!
Thank you 🙏
You are so welcome!!
Movement is so important. Thanks Alice for these wonderful suggestions.
You are so welcome!
Looking fwd to try these during my L&D. Thanks for this video :)
Yes! Definitely add them to your must try list!
@@birthtoolbox i love ur content, would it be possible to do a video on baby position and when to see a Chiro/specialist on spinning baby. I did watch ur video on sunny side baby but wondering if u can go into little detail on other baby positions, and when and how to seek help. Thank you so much :)
@@ilpandhlm That's a great idea! I'll add this to my content calendar.
@@birthtoolbox thanks a ton :)
Some of these feel really nice .. I'm not in labor yet but trying due in 8 days have had small like practice contractions with period type cramps and hip and lower back pain im at a 2 but cervix is still pretty hard as of 2 days ago at my appointment.. So new here trying to follow your videos and advice.
Great work Mariah!! Movement with periods of rest are important.
I definitely used asymmetrical positions during labor.
Awesome!!
These are amazing! I love the stairs one, if you are in the hospital there are always stairs!
YAY! I love how easy the asymmetrical sitting can be and yet can make a difference.
Is it okay to practice this during 3rd trimester?
Yes! Practicing is a great idea too.
I have no idea why, but ever since Covid, my doula moms have had the hardest, longest labors with TONS of malpositions! And I teach Spinning babies starting at our first prenatal and use the techniques all throughout labor, with no improvement! I’ve had 3 c-sections out of my last 5 births! I used to maybe have 1 section every 10 births or so! I’m stumped.
Wanted to also add that my doula friends have all been seeing the same thing!
So interesting! I wonder if we will ever realize the true impact that COVID had on childbirth.
@@birthtoolbox I’m wondering if it has something to do with all the couch sitting we’ve all done during the pandemic. I know my hip flexors are super tight from sitting so much so maybe it affected Womens’ musculature and ligaments etc
@@nicolebusse5734 That a good hypothesis! I've also seen been seeing malpositioned babies. Really interesting.
@@nicolebusse5734 From active to sedentary lifestyle because of risk of being outside or staying at home for work.
Can these positions help to induce labor?
There aren't any positions that will guarantee labor induction, but they might.
They also seem doable
That’s right!!
Can I start this on my 33 weeks
Practicing these positions in advance is a great idea.
Curb walking, stairs, kneeling, high lunges, asymmetrical sitting. You’re welcome
Thanks for watching! 😁
