Are you new to Step Aerobics? This is a great way to start or start over with your step journey!! If you are still learning..how did you do with this one?
I've always done your strength, mobility, and regular cardio classes. I got a new step for Christmas, and I've decided to do step on cardio days to mix it up and have more fun...for variety! I'm not new new, but new enough that I appreciate these basic step classes. Plus, I like the pace, and I just FEEL GOOD doing these basic classes. I am wondering about the optional weight vest you mentioned. What are the pros/cons? Will it help build muscle, too? What vest do you recommend? Do you/would you ever wear one?
YAY!! So happy you are enjoying this. A weight vest is another way to add intensity. it will not help build muscles as these only typically weight 5-15 lbs. There is a weighted vest on my amazon shop, which there is a link in the description@@em4520

If you're new to step, then this is a perfect workout for you! Chris is an amazing instructor who is sooooo encouraging and will make everything lovely and clear and, most importantly, achievable. Plus, her live community is a lovely bunch to step and workout with! 😊 Enjoy!! And for anyone who is a more experienced stepper, you can still enjoy this workout, just make those arm movements big! I love these workouts. They broke my barrier of hating/not finding the right cardio session in the morning. I now follow them first thing in the morning and my energy has been amazing. Thank you for all the effort you put into each class and for showing up for us 🤍
I did a couple of the advanced steps and realized I need to go back to basics. So back to basics I went! Getting the hang of it again! Thanks for not being a mirror image where we have to figure which foot you are on! So much easier to follow!! Thanks!! I love your classes. My goal is to step 3x / week!
I got my step today, got to looking for a fun workout on UA-cam.. I'm so glad I picked your program to do, I loved it and did get to the end.. I'm a bit on the older side and need to lose some weight and I just want to say a massive thank you.

This is a great beginner step workout. Chris is amazing and detailed on how to do each move. If you don’t have a step yet don’t let it stop you, grab a mat and get moving😊

Did this live yesterday since I figured legs would be feeling it by end of the day after the morning leg workout(and I was right). I enjoy the slower pace because I can add risers, maximize range of motion and concentrate on form. It may be lower BPMs but it's still a powerful workout. Chris explains everything in detail for those who are just beginning their step journey!
Just started doing step again last week after a 30 or so year hiatus. The four inch bench itself wasn’t getting my heart rate up, so I went to a six inch step today and did this “simpler choreo” workout to get acclimated to a six inch step. Loving the variety of workouts you offer, and looking forward to trying more.
I was not up for the hour live step today, so added a level to make this basic step a little more challenging. That definitely did the trick - my heart was pumping! Your videos are awesome because you can always modify up or down. ❤ I will catch today’s class tomorrow. Thanks, Chris!
I am watching this work out. I just bought a stepper and I like to watch the workout before I do it. This is so very basic. I love it. I am in my 60s and I think this is going to be my go to workout for quite a while. Thank you very much. A beginner basic workout that is just what it says it is.❤

I'm not new to step but new to Chris' step. My friends kept telling me to try them. Your cueing is excellent and there are tons of slower beat easier choreo workouts. I amped this up a little, used my arms more and got a good sweat on! Thank you Chris!

Just what I needed after yesterday's lower body since my butt is so sore! Perfect class for anyone starting & even if you're not a newbie, easy to make a few adjustments like running the basic step or sprinkling the triple knees etc. Thanks Chris, great class once again

Added a riser for this one. This is an ideal workout for anyone interested in learning step. I was a new stepper 3 years ago. Chris is an awesome instructor and her "Learn Step Aerobics" playlist helped me tremendously. I still go back to them occasionally to brush up on some of the more advanced moves.
Thank you for such an easy and fun way to step. It's been a while since I exercise. I'm what you call a "vampire" and didn't had the courage to write. But now, after, about 2 months doing your step routines I'm losing weight and getting stronger. I am sooooo happy!!. 😂 I look forward, every day , to do one of the many choices you offer in step. Your energy is contagious especially at 6 am!!!! This was a great one for beginners or anyone really. I put the speed at 1.25 and tried to increase my mind muscle conection by listening to your cues and not watching so much. I realized that I have a challenging time when the pace slows down (e.g. V-steps today). Something I have to work on, but I am so proud of how far Ihave come since I started. have a great day and thanks for all that you do!!!!!!!
Pulled this one back out today. I am happy to report I only needed to pause the workout 3 times. :-) My goal is to complete this full workout without pausing it at all. I've given January 31 to meet that goal. I really like your teaching style. Very easy to follow.
If you're new to step, I can't imagine a more perfect introduction. Although it was slow, It afforded me the opportunity to add risers and after this morning's leg workout this was still beneficial.

I've been doing your step workouts for a few years now but this was my first live! I'm more of an "advanced beginner" but this was the perfect lunchtime workout -- simple and fun, with time for a quick shower afterwards. Thank you as always for your great step workouts! (Don't worry, I strength train 3x a week too 😉)
That was great! Love the easy step workouts. Sunday here so I think its only Saturday there. The program was a harder step so i chose this one. I'll keep doing the easy step for a while longer at least until I buy a bigger step. My step's too narrow to do anything fancy. 30 minutes just enough today after doing the 60 minute full body yesterday! Thank you so much xo
