This was fun. I’m 66 years old and have been doing step aerobics for over 35 years it is my favorite aerobic exercise and it works my brain too. Bring on basic intermediate or advanced I love them all and it truly does get easier with practice. Think with your feet and it becomes second nature those 8 counts get into your brain!! ❤

Following the routine this week, Step DONE! I'm 45 I started doing step in 2004 and continued thru 2009 fairly consistently at a gym 2x a week and fell COMPLEATLY IN LOVE with it. I had my 1st baby in late 2009 (still did step through out my pregnancy) I went back for a bit after she arrived but eventually stopped the gym membership. Over the next 5 years I had 2 miscarriage's and 2 more babies. I found an old step at a thrift shop and have found & own a few step VHS and DVD's but they were not great. I never loved them. Found you in Oct of 2023 and have been doing your step video's since. I LOVE them just as much if not MORE than gym step! I feel lucky and blessed to have found you and have told so many of my friends about your channel!

Hello from Uruguay! Thank you so much for the step choreographies. I have a lot of trouble with coordination and, obviously, have been avoiding any kind of training that involves this type of skill. However, I've read that activities involving coordination are crucial for maintaining brain health, especially at my age (57). Therefore, I decided to tackle this unfinished business again, something I had tried before but without good results. Your videos let me pause, rewind, and replay any class as many times as I need. Things seem to be changing... and I'm making great progress! 🧡💛💚💙

I’m 54. I did step back in the early 90s but have only been back stepping for the last 6 months or so. My hubby found a step at an estate sale for $1 and was kind of joking when he asked if I wanted it. I was so excited! I found you, Chris, and have not looked back! I love it more now than I did then. Your enthusiasm and encouragement are just the best!! You keep me determined to improve!

I’m 56 and been doing step since around 1992? Many years. Love it! After swimming it’s my favorite cardio!! Menopause has been kicking my ass lately but I’m so happy for these short and not-too-intense workouts when I feel up to it. Did this after work today and was perfect for me. Used a step with one riser and took a water/walking break around 15 minutes in.
I love your encouragement Chris. You never make me feel bad for taking a break when I need to take care of myself instead of pushing needlessly. You’re right exercise should be fun and nothing to get stressed about missing steps, falling behind or struggling with the choreography! Have fun everyone! I’m totally uncoordinated and after all these years of practice can easily follow Chris she’s such an excellent teacher! 👋🇨🇦🥰🏃🏼‍♀️💕💪💕

I'm 68 years old. I started stepping 12 years ago when my athletic club had a contest for people to try new classes. I was intimated by the step class, but even with stopping to get my bearings, I worked up a sweat and realized this was a fabulous workout program. Each week I got comfortable with a new routine (such as rocking horse) and eventually was able to follow the calls without watching the instructor. I've been doing step at least twice a week ever since. I found cdorner when the world shut down and am now a big fan. I did this short class today so that I could follow it with strength training, got to work on those bones as they are getting thin. Thank you Chris.

Hi Chris, I‘m back to leave you a comment.
This was a realy good workout today, not to fast, not to hard, perfect for my sore legs😇(too much via ferrata climbing yesterday)
So you asked us to tell you about how old we are and how long we are doing steps. Well, I‘m 39 years old and I‘m doing step classes about 15 or 16 years (not continuous, cause beeing pregnant for twice and beeing a mommy doesn‘t come easy to me). In October 2023 I found your UA-cam channel and now I belief in warm-up, cardio, strengh and stretch💪🧘‍♀️ Thank you so much for all the things you give, it feels so good to me❤️

Thanks Chris for a great class. I am 54 years old and have doing step with Chris for 6 months. Started with the basics and tutorials, worked up to strength training, mobility and intermediate/advanced step, and now I do the live Saturday classes! Every morning in the basement at 5 am, but these 6 months have been transformational with how I feel and how I feel about myself. I am back to basic this week because we went hiking in the sand dunes of Sleeping Bear in MI (I could do it bc of this channel!) and at 54 I am giving my body a rest week with stretching and basic classes so that I can do this for the long term. Thank you Chris for all that you do--you are a rock star!💫

I'm turning 65 in October. I used to teach step in the late 90s and early 2000's. However, taking time to raise two boys took my focus off my fitness. I discovered Chris 's channel in 2022 and slowly started my return to fitness. I purposely stayed away from step. I was afraid that I would no longer love my old friend. Finally, I decided to start back. I ordered a new step from Amazon and looked at it for about a week, avoiding it and telling myself, "maybe tomorrow ". Finally, I decided to go for it. It was not love at first step, but I have kept at it. I 'm not sure if I will ever be an advanced stepper who breezes through the Saturday classes, but I 'm ok with that! I just want to have fun, sweat, and enjoy another form of staying young at heart❤ Thanks again Chris for sharing your gifts with us !

I am 60; soon to be 61 in August. I started step in 2021 when I couldn't get outside to walk as much due to taking care of my bedridden adult daughter who has TBI. I would consider myself to be up to intermediate in step. I cannot seem to move onto advanced. I usually cannot focus enough to learn advanced moves and cannot commit to hour long workouts. I find 30-40 min workouts to be best for me since I cannot spend anymore than that at a time due to taking care of my daughter. You are my best hope of learning advanced step since you are such a great instructor. I liked this step workout, because it was short, easy and fun. I combined it with a 25 min lower body workout which I did at a separate time the same day. Thanks for all your hard work!

I’m 43 and for the first time in my life, since finding you a year and a half ago, I’m taking care of my body. Thanks for being a ray of sunshine and light!! 💡 I appreciate you so much and it’s so clear how much work you put into what you do. ❤❤❤

Chris yours is truly my favorite channel! You are so inspiring, knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining. I’ve also seen and can feel such a transformation happening within me physically and mentally since I’ve been working out with you. I love your dogs, appreciate your producer (DJ Kevy Kev), and so look forward to when your friends join. You’re the BEST!

I’m 55 and have been doing step since early 90.s. When my children were young in early 2000’s would go to same step class with a group of women for 9 years! I was totally a cardio queen, now love to do strength training! We called ourselves the “step sisters” our instructor was a trained dancer so lots of fun moves. Love your class, it brings me back to those years with my Step Sisters. Nice to go a bit slower today. ❤️🌷

I am 65 and have been doing step for 25 years. Eek, I can't believe that! I have found a place with you that meets all levels and moods. Some days , I really need to take it easier and do a basic or beginner workout. On others, I am up for more of a challenge. I can do intermediate and some advanced. No matter what, I hear you telling me to modify when I need to, listen to my body, and keep trying!!

51 years old. I have been doing Chris’ workouts consistently since early last year, and haven’t done step since my early twenties. I have had so much fun! Picked this one up to do because my legs are SO sore from yesterday’s leg workout. I stacked the vertical step after and now my legs feel much better and I completed an hour of cardio! I can attest to the fact that the strength training makes a big impact on step endurance. Thanks, Chris!❤

I am 55 and I used to do step a long time ago, maybe in the 90's. I did it today without a step cause I don't have one, I def needed beginner to get the moves. Tried a harder step workout last week, I did ok. Today was better 😊❤

I am 45 and have been doing step with Chris for almost 4 years now. I am so proud of how I have stuck with it and not given up. I love going back to the basic for a lighter workout and also for a rest day. Chris provides such great information in each video and I have also incorporated more strength in my weekly workouts and love the changes I am seeing.

This was a blast! I’m 45 years old and I’ve been stepping for 11 years. It’s been a couple weeks since I’ve been working out consistently whether it would be strength or step so I started with basic today because I feel like when I start back on advanced where I left off prior to slowing down on my working out, I feel defeated because it’s so much harder for me to keep up. Starting back at the beginning used to hurt my pride but I realize now that the most important thing is to get moving. Have a blessed day 😊

I’m 45 and love your step videos! I took step classes 20 years ago and then didn’t do it for many years. I started up with your videos in September but ended up getting some knee pain a few months ago. I took a couple months off and I’m just getting back to it. I really enjoyed this and your smiling face and motivating personality! You are the best!

That was great going back to basics, makes you check your form ready for the more challenging choreography. I’ve just turned 55, my 1st foray into fitness was getting my mum the Jane Fonda album for her birthday when I was 11 which we did as a family, and I’ve been into group x since I was about 21, aerobics and spin. Didn’t begin step til my 40s when I started doing Rachel Holmes class at a new gym I started. It took a while but I was determined to nail it and was soon the “show pony” ( her words not mine) of the class adding extras turns and flourishes. It was thru that that I trained to be a Pilates instructor for some years before moving back into my massage trade. Chris’ step sessions take me back to all the fun we had as a group doing Step weekly at the club. Thank you C
