Belinda Foster Thank you so much! I am so happy that you enjoyed it. Especially since it was my mom that was making it. I would love to hear how your quilt comes out! 💗
I am extremely happy to find a site that someone still sew by hand. I never learned to use a sewing machine and always did any sewing by hand (mending holes, sewing on buttons, or hemming a dress). Not that I am an expert, but would like to learn and start on quilting since, I have so many old clothes I just don't want to give away. Your You Tube channel has sparked me to get started ASAP, thank you, thank you, thank you.💙🤍🥰
What a beautifully loving gesture by Grandma. The time, effort & intention she’s thoughtfully put into this...💙 Baby Love will have this his whole life.
Perfect! Love Mom and her beautiful sewing and demeanor! Oh my goodness THANK YOU! I am wanting to sew quilts by hand- very hard knowing what to do when. My mom and grandma are gone now so thank you for letting us learn from your mom ❤❤❤
thank you for sharing this, I have been looking and looking for a fully hand sew tutorial on quilting!!! I LOVE to sew and am self taught and have never used a machine!!!!
Leah Jones Hi Leah!! That makes me so happy! My mom and my sister and I used to sit around at night and she would have us so and embroider. So many long lost Arts! I do use a sewing machine but I absolutely love sewing things without one and I thought this was a wonderful quilt that she has made for all her grandchildren. I’m so glad this tutorial made someone happy!! 🥰✨✨

Jace Jacobs - Jar of Poetry oh Jace I would love to see a photo of a quilt that you and your daughters made! That would be so sweet. That makes my heart feel all warm and fuzzy that I got to share something that Could be a family bonding project! Super cool. Like I said in the movie my mom had us do projects as children instead of watching TV and it made all the difference
My mom happens to be sitting right here next to me she said it took her about 35 hours but she only spent about two hours at a time here and there making it.

i like your mom
Me too! She really is an earth angel! She’s the sweetest woman and I was so blessed to have her as my mom
When stitching the squares together do you stitch into the batting or just the end cloth of the two squares?
I'm sure that the stitching catches the batting because the batting will bunch up inside the blocks if it's not sewn down in place.
thank you Anna.. yes, that is true. xo
Love it but I am not clear when your putting the batting on, is it one down and one up? Upside down?
I want to try this so bad!! Is 51 too late to start learning to quilt?
Of course it’s not! I’m 60 and I start new things all the time. 50 is young🥰
@@diydesignmuse5479 omg I love you!! Lol
Can we do this similar technique for a tshirt quilt?
Can this process be used for a t-shirt quilt?
How long did it take her to finish that
My mom happens to be sitting right here next to me she said it took her about 35 hours but she only spent about two hours at a time here and there making it.
It might be a little quicker if you worked all at one time on it. Her little fingers can only take so much of the time. She’s laughing as I write this
I bought everything to make this quilt but I'm too scared to cut the sqaures and mess up the fabric. Help!
