Thank you so much for this video. Due to arthritis In my wrists I can do very little with my right hand, I have to wear a brace to reduce the pain. I can actually do this with the brace on my wrist.
This is exactly what I have needed. I have arthritis in both hands, my back and in my spine and this will allow me to do a fleece quilt that I need towards the end of March of 2023. Now the fun part, selecting two fleece fabrics.
Thank you for this easy method and detailed and clear explanation. I have been crafting for years and only made one fleece blanket a few years ago. I wasn't pleased with how it turned out. I recently bought a no sew fleece kit at my local fabric store. Their instructions were confusing. I will follow your instructions and plan to have a beautiful holiday throw for my family room.
I'm SO happy I found this video! I have a few no sew blankets to make and I'm DEFINITELY going to do it the way that you instructed! Thank you so much for sharing this!
I can;t thank you enough for your wonderful instructions and the way you made this project easy. With MS, I was hoping I could find an easy way to finish the project for my grandson - and you provided it!! Thank you so much!!!
Bless your heart for all that you do. Having shoulder problems and that really interferes with cutting fabric….you always give great information and make it easy for us.
I know this is from 2018 but still had to comment - what a great method, great video, and project. Most importantly thank you for being an inspiration to others who may have a disability, injury, illness or other thing that keeps them from participating in life -
Hello Cheryl even tho I've been subscribe to your UA-cam channel. I haven't seen this video until today, I really like the simplicity of making these fleece blankets. With the no tieing or sewing method Thanks for the video.
I can’t sew and I’ve seen other fleece blankets and this looks so much neater than the knot blankets. Your directions were simple. I can’t wait to try it!
I am in a wheelchair and my hands don't work full but after watching other ways to tie with my daughter, ur way is soo much easier and faster! We finished her project in a matter of minutes and she enjoyed it much more!! She can't wait to make more now!
I love this way of connecting the fleece. The ties lay nice and flat without the bulk that a knot creates. Thank you for sharing this technique with us!
Love this technique! Thanks so much. I'm making one for my grandson and didn't know where to start as far as tying the knots. I've watched a few other channels but your's is the best! I also watch your quilting videos, trying to get up the nerve to make my first quit. Thanks so much Cheryl!!!
I just made my first fleece blanket for a baby gift and your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much! I am subscribing and hoping to learn more from you! :o)
Thank you so much ,I had operations on thumbs and wrist (arthritis) so no more can I see, ,am wearing thumb/wrist support on right hand, This is a wonderful video, so am going to do some for my grown up family, It's going to be very cold, may have to give them before Xmas, You are very kind and sweet, ( your voice says it all,) Thank you so much
Hi Sandy. Make sure you don't cut the holes to big. If you have to make the holes bigger, then do a straight stitch on all 4 sides just above the holes so that it doesn't come apart during the wash and dry cycle. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
I loved the way you explained everything and it's very easy ,so another for me to do especially for a baby. Yay!!!!!! no sewing. Thank you again Cheryl. Ginny D.
our special education students watched this after buying some polar fleece at hobby lobby. Serendipity! A student with cerebal palsy wanted to make but has one weak hand. other students offered to help make it. But now wehave a way that he can do it himeself!!! Thank you!!!
Hi Denise. Your story melts my heart. I am so glad that this tutorial was helpful to this young man was able to make the blanket. I am so proud of him that he didn't give up. You are a great teacher Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
Oh So Happy to see your "no sew-no knot" fleece blanket technique! I have RA. in fingers of both hands and in wrists and very severe, painful carpal tunnel syndrome extending to both elbows with almost no feeling in my fingers decreasing my ability to hold on to things and use as I once did, including tying. I have 5 young great-grandkids for whom I have been wanting to make this type of blanket. With the technique and scissors you have shown, I believe the kids will have blankets next to their stockings this Christmas. Thank you!
Wow, TY, I had an accident and the right arm was severely limited. So, I too have the issue of having a right arm and hand that are not great. I am grateful for the use I have recovered. This would help me. I miss hand embroidery so much.
@@TheSewingRoomChannel I might try that. I have done some small cross-stitch trying to retrain my fine nerves in my hand. It is much better than it was (totally useless), so I am blessed that I healed that much. Embroidery is such a special way to find peace and you can talk to family or friends or listen to music or a movie while doing it. No matter how, it is great at putting a calming rhythm into ones system.
Great job on the quilt. I'm super glad that you're showing folks without 100% use of their hands how to make blankets! I'm going to show this video to my granddaughters who are six and eight years old and get them started on there blankets tomorrow. Thanks again for the video. Great job!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just found your UA-cam channel and I had to subscribe based on this video. I used to make these for gifts, but I have developed neuropathy in my hands. It makes it very difficult to tie knots...or do a lot of things. I can't wait to see more of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing. I really appreciate you.
Thank you for such great step by step instructions! i really enjoy watching you. Do you show how to sew things as well? I'd love to learn more about sewing.Have a very special & Blessed Holiday

Thank you so much for making this video! :) I made one for my partner and the border looks so professional and great! Turned out SO MUCH BETTER than the tying methods I've been seeing. He even thought it was store made and bought before I let them know that I made it for them
Thanks Dear! This is wonderful. My daughter and I make tons of fleece blankets to donate to our local humane society. We’ve been fostering for years. Hi Janie. I lost the use of my right hand 9 years ago. After a lot of physical therapy I managed to get my right thumb to work. You hang in there and take care. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
This is Perfect! 👍 I just became a Great-Grandma for the first time and my arthritis is no fun, but this looks like I might be able to handle it. Thanks so much for sharing this! I'm going to make her a blanket 👍👍👍
WONDERFUL ... Finished product is beautifully done. This method is easy, simple and requires no sewing. Great for children as well as adults and the elderly. Any one can do it. Love how you use the painter's tape to make a straight line and use as a guide to where you cut to on each of the "fringe" strips and the "very small" cut to make a hole to fold the "fringe strip" back through and lock it in place. Regular painters' tape is easily removed when finished.
Oh my gosh I love u so much! I’m 15 and I had a brain tumor that weakened my whole right side, so I only have the function of my left hand... I love doing crafts and making stuff even tho it’s hard, but this video really inspired me❤️
