Although I’m watching this 4 years later, I just want to say this video really helped me. I’m planing on repainting my Marder III into a better camo with Tamiya acrylics. So thank you for uploading this video it’s helping a lot
As always Andy, this was great build. I am 66 years old with some time on my hands now, and just getting back into modelling after many years away from the hobby, and I find your videos a great help. I find that so much has changed over the years, not only the quality of the models now available, but the many and varied accessories that can assist in making your model look just the way you like it. This video format is also very helpful, as it can be viewed many times. I look forward to many more of your quality instructional videos. Keep up the great work.
@@jdc121 I would say if you are a beginning modeler, go for the easy build kits, or snap kits. They are great, but you might still need to paint them. If you are comfortable with gluing and sanding, go for the Tamiya and Revell kits. They have lots of detail, and if you finish one nicely, it will look spectacular!
It's been a while since I have commented on your videos. I purchased that same kit in Dec 2018 and now I am going to build it. I spent some time going over the kit and now I have the time to work on it. Now I have all three Marder models. Thanks for the review and the work you have done.
Hello Andy,,, great to see your expanding your store ! I am 71 and you got me back into modeling after a long 60 year lapse, I forgot how satisfying modeling can be. I've done a lot of armor ...thanks to you. I've seen you do 1 ship and 1 plane. Now I would like to issue a challenge to you and do a sailing Ship !! A perfect one to start with would be the Lindbergh " JOLLY ROGER" ! I do believe you would enjoy it. Think about it pal.
Treena Rhodeback you should check out PLASMOs channel as well. Him and Andy are the best model channel on UA-cam. Plasmos videos are utterly incredible, his modeling skills are out of this world. Both channels are very different in approach but both are amazing.
Andy, I have been modeling for over 60 years. I have always enjoyed it, watching you is like they say (going to college). Your videos are so informative & uplifting, thank you for a great series of learning. Great work!
Love your videos, Andy... watching them takes me back to being a kid in the early 80s, Squad Leader boardgames, building a model in my attic bedroom late at night, and my mom and dad are still alive :) thanks for the therapy sessions
My guess is that Andy is planning to build a kit of a "PzKpfW Leafblower" before the fall. Also, I bet he'll remove the shovel that's on the Marder & replace it with a carefully painted 1/35 rake. 😉😆
FYI, because of your outstanding videos I have become a regular customer to web store for not only models but but hobby supplies. Thank you Mr. Andy for keeping the hoby alive. I live in California and I hope to soon make a road trip in cooler times to visit your expanded new store.
Very nice and subtle with the weathering which is good. Many overdo the weathering which, especially for German vehicles in late war, is a bit OTT as they didn’t last long in general. German tanks, from what I’ve read, were mostly reasonable new, if not brand new by the time they were knocked out. At worst most tanks would be a little dusty I would imagine. Watching some colour WW2 footage seems to support this. Well done and please keep broadcasting.
When attaching the wheels without gluing, I use tissue paper to act as sleeve to firmly secure the wheel to the chassis so they can be painted individually or used for the link-n-link tracks
I really like your channel Andy. Honestly, I have to say, that this is one of the nicest builds in the past few months I have seen from you. And a really nice touch with the branches there, by the way. Looking forward for another build of yours
I love Tamiya kits the perfect balance in parts count an details. I just am working on a Dragon Paton and had to stop for a week to ket my finger tips heal up from blade cuts from the hundreds of tiny parts.
Es una pena no ver el trabajo terminado con las figuras. De todas maneras es excelente la lección. Muchas gracias por dedicar su tiempo. el resultado es magnífico. Un abrazo desde España
very nice, easily one of your best. The only thing i might recommend is a oil dot filer, just to add a little fading and color variation to the big flat surfaces
The Normandy look is good. I’m just finishing a Wespe referencing your Wespe build and will add some of these Marder AK techniques to blend in with the planned diorama.
Love the Marder's....will get this as soon as it's available in the UK, Panda Hobby have a great Marder I kit which seems to have been missed by most Model stores.
Ausgezeichnet! Zehr gut, and all that kraut talk, the branches are the final garnish on a excellent job! PS:Traverse & Elevate main gun are the 'correct' terms. LOL
BTW: Gorgeous finish - the leaves are a spectacular finishing touch for an already spectacularly well finished kit. Just realized I have the Tamiya kit in my stash😁
On this model kit - the Branches look great - I would like to see some burlap over the barrel real thin with strings - this will break up the shape a little more - I have seen this on the Panther and Tiger models
@@thingsthatfly6055 there was a model andy showed that was a model of the maus with its interior. Not sure if it's 100% accurate but he said he would do it
Love the branches! Maybe a foliage tutorial in the future? Nice looking kit. Kinda surprised you didn't do any modulation on all those nice flat panels. Looks good tho for sure. Thanks for all your helpful videos.
Great work, Andy, I really enjoy watching you build and paint all those models. I'd only add a metal barrel instead of plastic one, but that's unnecessary. Thanks
Hello Andy, as usual your video is very interesting and you explain the different steps as it must be. Can you tell me how have you made the branches? Friendship from my beautyful medieval town called Provins, France.
I've struggled so long in fixing such track links, in less than 5 mins I realised how to do it whilst watching this. Cheers!

Nice one Andy!!!
Yet again
A great kit from tamiya andy you certainly nailed this one and the weathering was brilliant fantastic Steve 🇬🇧
Loving the foliage! Rare to see a German western front vehicle without it.
Wolfhead101. yep use watch ww2 movies with my dad. German tanks had firepower. So did the us Russia and the allies plus Japan.
The foliage works! Great look and definitely appropriate for a vehicle hiding from the yabos.
Looks awesome!
Superb Andy! Gotta be your best ever? Nothing mediocre about this one. 👍🏻
I love your videos your probably they only one that does a perfect video of modeling of tanks and air planes keep up the great work

Greatbuild Love he added leaves
That tree branch looks super realistic! Best I've seen, for sure.
As always Andy, great build and video, and none of the nerve jangling music some people feel the need to include, thanks for sharing.
Some of your finest work yet! I’m only 15 and I have a lot to learn but you’re a big inspiration, keep it up my guy
This has to be Andy's best build to date. Painting, weathering all awesome! 👍
Watching this Marder build and the way everything went to plan was great I built this kit so I stopped and started, following and it was so easy.
This is one of my favourite builds by Andy! I think this model is exceptional!
In the autumn, will all the leaves fall off ?

Currently building an german armour display case from an old wooden ammo box, this will be on the list to go in it for sure

neat stuff like it and post em, will see more
May I get a link to the leaf punch that you used?
You can find it at Green Stuff World and just type in leaf punch.
They have a few different ones, so You can choose whats best for You.
RP Toolz also make them, type the maker's name into Google and you should find them for sale
Hey Andy, great vid! Would you mind maybe making a vid about painting figures? I still tend to struggle with that.
Keep it up!
Have a look at Adam Savage's channel (Tested) where they do several figurines paint jobs. He used to work for ILM so he knows what he's doing.
Great video Andy!!

Love the Marder III TD's. They are so cool. Marder III H is my favorite version. :)
cant wait to get one of these, and them branches are nice
Great video really liked the track assembly and wheel weathering section.

Yep, the branches makes it all come together👍🏼
Build the maus with full interior

Yea me to

MAUS :-)
Strohmann thats nothing, the TOG ii has a full length Olympic swimming pool and a home theatre

When is the maus full interior?
It's a German tank that was never put into mass production due to the end of ww2.
